I ship all of my packages through Postal Center USA. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful people work here. They aren't the mask police either which I appreciate! I noticed that most of the other reviews that are negative, are due to covid regulations and mask wearing. If you feel like your life is in danger that much, why on earth would you come into a place of business with anything less than a respirator on. Quit complaining about other people keeping their little cloth mask over their face to protect you. If you people had any shred of common sense you can easily look up how ineffective surgical masks are at preventing transmission of viruses. This place is a COVID-19 hot zone. It is operated by a bunch of maskless mouth breathers. It has been that way since March and continues today, November 12, which is a high point for cases and deaths nationally. When asked about the lack of masks, they say they can put one on. It was extremely expensive and the girl behind the counter never talked to me at all! She only told me the price. Notice all the other reviews are years old and I disagree with. I went earlier this week and 5 STARS all around. This is a local business that is worth supporting! I was able to do a one stop shop for an licensing application that I thought would take all day to complete but instead was able to get done in minutes. I was able to print, buy my secured no-bend envelope, ship, and NOTARIZE all in one shop. My interactions with the staff were all so pleasant and personable. The two people in the front were so friendly and helpful even though I was a mess trying to get all my paperwork gathered together and was spread out everywhere. They even helped double check and make sure I had everything I needed for the application. The owner, who was also the notary, is one of those people that is a genuinely amazing person that you don't find nowadays. He is very personable. We ended up chatting for a little bit and I left the shop in such a good mood knowing that there are still decent, hard-working, honest people out there! I did not notice the prices being more than any of the other corporate chains plus you get to SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESS. Do not use this place. Go to a real ups store, fedex store or post office. First employee had no mask on other employee had it around ears but not on face. There rates are higher and when using a transaction as a credit card they charge you 3.1% I know this does not sound like much but it's the principle. Caution:this place is a rip off!! I've always had a hunch they charge A LOT for their shipping service and today I really found out. I was very suspicious as to how my 12 pound package could cost $93.27, with insurance, to ship to Nashville UPS ground. I did my research and the same shipping direct from UPS would be $59.83 (without the insurance, I couldn't calculate that online). The insurance was only around $10. I called Postal Center and the clerk that answered the phone explained to me that they are a private business and have to make money. I agree, they should profit from the perceived convenience, but this is outrageous and near bank robbery!! $33.44 extra for dropping off my package? I feel for the elderly and transportation challenged who have to rely on this business for their mail and shipping needs. A woman came in while I was there to buy a single .49 cent stamp and was charged .55 cents. Next time I'll go straight to UPS and take my family out for lunch on the savings. I left my name and phone number for the owner to call me back, the woman told me he is out of town today and will be in tomorrow. In the mean time, anybody want to go in on a postal annex with me?. This place stinks. Literally. They have a sign hanging up that says to excuse their mess because of recent flooding. If you've ever smelled molded, mildewed carpet, it's hideous and this place reeks of it. While I realize this is the fault of the landlord and not the Postal Center, if you are pregnant or have a strong or super-sensitive sense of smell, stay out of here. You will barf. I walked in and stood in line behind a woman who was mailing a box. There was a lot of laughing and goofing off by two employees not helping that woman. They were having a great old time putting packing peanuts in a box. I was CLEARLY the next in line, and in walked a kid, maybe ten years old, with a package his mom wanted him to mail. Mom was in the car waiting. They waited on the kid before me. Then when they did wait on me the girl that "helped" me was not very friendly. I think this is the kind of place where, if you're a regular, you get great treatment, but if you are not familiar to them, you might as well rot. They knew the boy because they asked him about his braces, his mom, etc. AND they let him sign for his mom's credit card. Isn't that illegal? Anyway... The ONLY reason I went here was because the line at the Turlock Post Office was out the door and the Raley's a few doors down doesn't offer Postal services like a lot of the Raley's do. I will go wait in line for an hour at the actual post office the next time I am in Turlock and want to mail something. And the other commenters are correct - they do jack up the price. All of these types of places do, though. I paid $1.98 to mail something that would have been about $1.60 at the actual Post Office. Live and learn, I guess. read more

The staff is usually friendly and courteous, they are knowledgable and they take all the time it takes to patiently answer all questions you might have. But beware, they will use any chance they get to rip you off front and back. And I'm not even talking about charging you for a sheet of bubble wrap, like one of the other reviewers here. On multiple occasions, they have charged me up to twice of what USPS would charge me for postage. I am not talking about a dollar or two, I am talking 110 Dollars for an international parcel instead of 49 (USPS, when payed online, 55 when payed at the postal office). The same package, the same weight, the same size, same delivery method and carrier, the same order date and time - but more then twice the price. Maybe that might have to do with the fact that they constantly add a couple of inches and ounces to the size and weight your parcel actually has. Maybe it's because they are a 3rd party reseller and add some markup. But double the price smells like a deliberate rip-off to me. From now on, I'll order my shipments online with USPS directly. They'll even happily pick it up for free at my door sill, which also saves me time and gas. But this place? Never again. read more

Horrible service!!! I went in to send something to San Francisco and the lady that helped me was completely rude from the beginning. Her name was Paula. She was completely unorganized, messed up the address, was condescending the whole time and she charged me for priority mail when I asked to send my package as a regular parcel. Waited 70 minutes to see the notary in small cramped space, only to be seated in to the back by a lady that literal thought she owed the United States postal service. During the whole procedure she was juggling my paper work around ,while I was try to keep it all in numerical order. Hopefully my papers don't get reject because of her mishandling. I went in yesterday to mail two packages for my daughter. I asked for the cheapest way there. The lady behind the counter told me US post office price $19.17 I was shocked I asked her again if that was the post office price or theirs and she just looked at me and said that this is what the US post office charges. I told her I think about it because the shipping cost was more than what was in the package. I asked again and she told me the same. I went into the post office in turlock and found that she lied to me I shipped both packages for $17.70. The nice lady at our post office said that they get a lot of complaints because this store misleads customers to believe that they are an agent of the US postal service. I will never go there again!!!! If the lady had stated that they charge more to pay wages and utilities I might have paid the higher price but she clearly mislead me.
