It's been a while since I last visited Se7en Bites and since I had some friends visiting from out of town we took advantage and took the drive to go. There is a line outside to be seated but they work really fast and also very nice of them to have water for those waiting in line. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Se7en Bites is a gem of a find! Arriving around 9:30 am, there was a small line outside, but were allowed inside within 15 minutes. Once inside, you order at the counter and choose a seat. There is also a separate area to order their coffee or pastries. Ordering was a breeze, and our food didn't take long at all. I had the chicken biscuit with gravy and grits special--unreal! My friend ordered the 7th trimester, which was equally delightful and incredibly filling. We also shared the hashbrown potato cakes, delicious and very thick potato cakes! The food here definitely lives up to the hype, and I'm already planning my next visit. I recommend arriving early, as the line was quite lengthy when we left. And today in Orlando a winter cold front did blow in and brought with it rain but by the time we got there there was no rain/wind. NEVER did either one of your employees express that the changes were due to weather. They did mention calling other patrons and I did offer to fill in if they didn't show and they said NO. I also asked about other seats open in the back and their answer was that the section was closed. If you were a real business owner, you'd show some empathy and not just cover for your lowsy team & lie in a public forum. I would recommend the strawberry gauva lemonade with fresh and refreshing, it wasnt too sweet at all. The staff was personable and extremely knowledgeable. The atmosphere was fun, a bit noisy but it was fine. Keep in mind they close at 3 pm so this is a great spot to kick you day off. The Drunk Hot Chicks might have been a temporary menu item but it was lovely and be around all year if it isnt. The waffle was perfectly soft, as was the chicken fried to perfection while maintaining its juiciness. He had to have a chicken pot pie! My friend who lives in Orlando that is. So on our way to drop me off at the airport, lunch at Se7en Bites. The menu plus the blackboard specials were a bit overwhelming to me. I chose a simple meat loaf sammie with a schmear of mashed potatoes. Delicious and my buddy loved his pot pie. Craving accomplished! Thirst quenching sweet orange blossom iced tea delivered with a smile. I like the community feeling here and the aesthetics are fun. We expected a wait and slow service--hey, great brunch spots are worth it, right? But instead of Southern hospitality, we got a masterclass in squeezing every dollar out of diners. Before you even sit down, they want your order and your tip up front (20-30%, please!)--oh, and don't forget to "buy the staff a beer" for $5. Then, it's seat yourself, shout over blaring music, and hope your server doesn't roll their eyes at you when they bring the wrong order. And the food? Shocked I'm giving it a 2! Waited to come all the way from 2 1/2 hrs away!! Got fried chicken biscuit and 2 scrambled eggs with cheese which I was charged over $20.00 for! When it got to the table, the eggs had been microwaved with cheese petrified on top that had melted in to the plastic cup!( gross) I did ask to return the eggs and when nothing happened, I spoke to a mngr who returned new eggs that were better, with cheese I'd paid for. Hubby got Minnie Pearl and he gave it a 3 out of 5. The seats are uncomfortable to say the least and it's a bit loud. Don't need to go back again. Bakery was nice. This restaurant might seem small but with a busy traffic of clients which tells you that their food must be above and beyond. And it is right! I have been here twice now and just writing this review is making my mouth water! This is an order at the counter, grab a seat and they bring your order out kind of place. It does get busy, but they are super organized and make it a stress free experience. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and the restaurant has a lovely cozy and eclectic vibe. The Signature Chicken Biscuit is my favorite! That red pepper jelly cream cheese is perfect with the fried chicken. And add a cup of Orange Blossom Iced Tea, and you have a perfect morning. However, their whole menu sounds so tasty and maybe one day I will go back and venture out from the chicken biscuit, but it is so good that is it hard to get anything else. I found Se7en Bites listed as one of the top places for lunch in the area when leaving Elevation Church Orlando. It's in a really busy area with lots of places nearby to eat and shop. Se7en Bites has its own parking lot with plenty of parking. They stay open until 3pm, and are only open Thursday to Sunday, so it was busy. You wait outside in line until seating becomes available inside or on their outside patio. It was rather warm out and the sun was beaming, so I decided to sit on the inside. The staff outside gave us menus while we waited to go inside. I asked for his top 3 menu items and decided on one of the specials. Right after I made my decision, another staff member from inside came out and announced the menu item I decided on was out! I finally get inside, the wait wasn't too long though, and I was exited to get to Dorian to take my order. He was awesome. I finally decided on the Minnie Pearl, which was two pearl sugar waffles hugging their "almost famous" buttermilk fried chicken with a splash of HOT (not so spicy, kickin, buffalo- for all you temp-spice-level wonderers) honey & over medium egg (I asked for my egg souffléd), topped with vanilla bean butter syrup & served with a side of cheddar chive grits. I also ordered a bacon cinnamon roll and a yummy cup of their special coffee (they also sell it to brew at home). You order at the register and then seat yourself. My bacon cinnamon roll had me dancing at first bite, so yummy and fresh. My food came out and wow, I was excited. The flavor profile of the sweet waffles, with the spicy-ish chicken, with the syrup and egg...Wowsers. I loved every single bite. I mean, so good. The grits were just ok for me. I love grits, but not a big fan of the flavor of these. I decided to check the bakery part, which has a separate counter than where you order your food. Why did I do that. I literally wanted one of everything, but decided to narrow it down to the special pie of the day, Grammie's Coconut Cream Pie and a Signature Bar Cookie. The baked goods were amazing too. I highlight that to say there must be some exceptional food inside because why else would all these people wait in a line in this FL heat. Se7en bites is a great place to check out if visiting orlando. It's one of my favorite brunch spots around! There's usually a line outside but it moves quickly. Most of the time an employee is also outside letting people in and providing menus or recommendations. Upon entering you order at the front and there's some daily specials. I have tried the Minnie Pearl and the Seventh Trimester. Both are great but very different. The Minnie pearl will satisfy a sweet tooth while the seventh trimester is more savory. Personally, I'm not a big grits fan but I will eat the grits here. The Mac and cheese is my absolute favorite though! They offer indoor and patio dining. My family and I came to Orlando to visit some relatives and when I visit different cities, I like to experience the local fair, so we were looking for something local and different for brunch. My cousin suggested se7en bites because she said they had some good reviews on TikTok (I'm not on TikTok so I wouldn't know) but anyway, although the restaurant was a drive for us at about 40 minutes with traffic included, we decided that we would meet up there. And let me tell you that we were not disappointed! The restaurant is different in that you place your order at the cashier and then you find a table because they have open seating. I ordered the mini pearl, which was their take of chicken and waffles. The waffles were amazing. The batter was light. I could taste a bit of sugar in the batter, which was a delightful treat with each bite. My husband ordered the Colonel marmalade and his looked amazing as well, although I did not sample his food. I can't talk about this place without highlighting their bakery area because OMG the treats that they had available were beautifully made! I ordered the lavender shortbread which was light had the perfect balance of lavender and it was a nice shortbread, not overly sweet or dry. I kept looking at the chocolate and rosewater cake, but I could not bring myself to order something so delicious looking and then wanting to drive back over to the restaurant just to get another slice so I thought I would save that for my next trip. All in all, it was a wonderful dining experience although I would suggest that they turn the music down just a tad bit so we don't have to yell at one another across the table, nor would we have to continuously ask our server and the hostess to speak up because we could not hear them. The Michelin awards on the wall... deserved! If you're ever in the Orlando area I suggest you take a short drive and visit Se7en Bites and enjoy a nice brunch, breakfast or lunch experience. A few years later and yes multiple visits since. I no longer get the hype, and I'm sorry to say it, I guess I fell for it. Orlando had a sorta of famous chef so I fell for the attraction of that but now the food is just okay. You still have to wait in line outside, and depending on when you get there, you could wait anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes to order. Then, there's another possible 20-minute wait for your food. When my dish came out incorrectly, I totally understand how busy they were, so I just mentioned it to the wait staff, and they quickly brought out the missing item. A lot of the dishes are on the heavier side, and given the name of the place, which indirectly has to do with healthy living and eating, I wish the owner would consider offering more lighter, healthier options. We absolutely love coming here for breakfast when in the Orlando area . Depending on the time that you arrive. Don't be shocked to see a line already formed and having to wait. Almost steered away from this place because it was nearly impossible to park, but thank goodness I didn't. The long line in the front is to help monitor the flow as once you're inside you order at the counter and then seat yourself at any open table. There are sooo many delicious options to pick from and even a separate bakery counter inside with tons of sweet treats. I really enjoyed the concept and honestly the 20 min line to get in didn't feel that long (also s/o for the water station outside in this FL heat). So I ordered the super southern, minus the grits, and it was out of this world; whoever thought of a cornbread waffle I love you. The only part of my meal I didn't enjoy was the over med eggs, I'm not a fan of runny yolk, but alas it didn't stop me from eating this. I paired my entree with a refreshing lavender lemonade; literally so good too! I obviously couldn't leave this place without getting a pastry so I got the rainbow cookie, which was actually a cute take on a snickerdoodle cookie.
