Deli Desires satisfied desires I didn't know I had. Deli Desires has been around since Covid-19 times, but I'm just discovering it now and I'm glad I did. Deli Desires came from two people who realized during Covid-19 that they wanted to deliver food to people and make them a little happier. Now Orlando doesn't have too many delis, but this one surprised me with how good the food is. Located at 715 N Fern Creek Ave Suite B, Orlando, FL 32803 near downtown Orlando and Mills Ave district. They have a small parking lot but it's not too hard to locate. When I walked in, I was greeted with bright blue decor, that New York deli counter feel, a wall of community events and happenings, and great customer service. The person who took my order was so nice and asked about my day and we just yapped while I waited for my food. They have bialys there. I've never heard of that or seen that, but it was cool to see something new. I got the latke breakfast sandwich on an onion bialys. Good gracious, it was good. It was so damn good. This sandwich is a 10/10. They packaged it like a deli and I ate it on the go. It travels well, in case you were wondering. Overall, I highly highly recommend Deli Desires and the Sunrail as a feasible form of public transportation. read more

The gentleman was very helpful and shared with me a little history on the Bialys- a delicious mix between a bagel and an english muffin. They're made in house for that authentic and delicious flavor. You can't go wrong with a classic BEC, but they have plenty of add-ons to make it your own. It's a small spot with no seating but is it really a deli if you're not standing at a high top?? This place hands down makes the best breakfast sandwich I've had in Orlando. I've tried the bacon and egg on the jalapeño bialy absolutely delicious! I've also tasted the egg salad sandwhich and their version of a Big Mac made with corned beef--both were seriously good. The staff is always super nice and welcoming. A couple of things to note: there's no indoor seating it is a small location with a couple of tables you can only stand around. Also the parking lot is pretty small, so parking can be a bit of a hassle during busy times. However, they do have outdoor seating, which is a nice option when the weather it isn't a million degrees outside Highly recommend. read more

I tried one of their seasonal lattes, the tomato leaf latte. This was probably one of the most unique lattes I've had. It had a floral and citrusy note to it, and was a bit savory on the end, almost reminding me of basil leaf. Absolutely delicious combination. I ordered the Gravlax for my meal. It was extremely messy to eat. There was a bit too much cream cheese and tomato for my liking. Everything was spilling out which made it hard to eat, and I didn't get much salmon until more in the middle. The Is was my first time having a bialy, and while the flavor was good, I wasn't a fan of the texture. I thought it was a bit too crusty and chewy to enjoy fully. I heard about this delightful little hole in the wall from a LemonHearted post so we decided to come check it out! Service was great and they were very accommodating in letting me make a custom sandwich. The sandwich and the iced orange latte was delicious! My only 2 downsides were the waiting time (even though there was no one infront of us in line when we ordered we waited around 25 mins for our food) and then the pricing which was very steep in my opinion. I'd probably come back especially for that latte again--but I'd probably skip the latkes next time! read more

I want to start with the good stuff- the food is amazing! The lady taking orders was kind and patient while we looked over the menu. It is a Small little take out spot but there are some tables off in a courtyard you can sit at if you'd like. I had the latkes sandwich and my husband and son both had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. They were each roughly around $12. Which may seem high to some but I have zero issue paying for good quality food, and this was fresh and good quality. My only complaint is the price they charged for drinks. A can of basic Diet Coke was $4 and their drip coffee was also nearly $6. I feel like this is an area where the owner could pass some savings onto their customers but that is not the case here. read more

We stopped by here for a quick to-go breakfast one day on our way to Disney's Animal Kingdom. I had heard of the legend of these bialys for a long time, and I just knew it was time to finally come and have one. The place is a hole in the wall tucked away diagonally from the Mills-50 intersection. It's takeout orders only, with a few small waiting tables inside. Very warm and inviting, the ambiance and the people inside. Very nice experience. As for the food itself, we got two bialys. I got the Bacon (Egg, Smoked Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese), and I also got to try the Veggie Deluxe (Pickled Veggie Cream Cheese, Tomato, Radish, Herb Salad, Marinated Cucumber, & Red Onion). Both were incredible. The bread was crisp and delightfully textured on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. A nice big hole, but still able to contain all the toppings within pretty well. The Bacon was as it sounded. Crispy bacon, a well-fried egg, and ooey gooey cheese that drips everywhere. The veggie caught me off guard with how good it was. The pickled, the creamy cheese, the bite from the radish, the different bite from the red onion. Crispy and fresh and really good! Do recommend. Overall, I recommend this place very much. Every bit of it was delicious, and there are endless amount of customizable combinations you can make. I will probably be back many more times before the end. read more

I have been here numerous times and never had a bad experience. Today I tried the Rueben and it had so much corned beef on it along with some really good sauerkraut & spicy mustard. Overall staff was fine and food was pretty good, just didn't see the value in the offering. $12.50 for a sandwich which had I believe 1 small egg and 1 slice of cheese just seems overpriced. Every morning, I'm faced with a decision: Get to work on time, or pick up a cup of the best mud in town. Normally, I talk myself out of this dilemma and choose the responsible path. My work week is filled with thoughts of Deli Desires's Gold Rush™ latte (iced w oat milk). When the weekend finally hits, the ol' DD is half the reason I get out of bed. As a band, we're no strangers to DD. Caramelized onion bailies, violife cream cheese, everything tomatoes, Gold Rush™ lattes... We're fools with no willpower around this place. I recommend it to everyone who comes to town. We have no complaints, but we do often long for more vegan options. Came here on recommendation from one of the owner's mothers. Had not tried a bialy before but was very happy with it. Terrific breakfast sandwich. Service was at the counter and there isn't much seating around the restaurant. There are some outside tables but it's mostly a grab and go spot. For the uninitiated bialys are bagels that are baked instead of boiled. So a little softer and lighter as a result. Definitely recommend the white fish! I absolutely loved deli desires! I was literally craving this place for 2 straight weeks after. This was my first time trying a bialys and it did not disappoint. I ordered the scrapple and it was delicious; the combination of the flavor of the pork and the dukes mayo was 10/10. Honestly I could've probably devoured 2 of these instead of 1, as they're less filling than a bagel. Service was fairly reasonable for a Saturday and my bialys was freshly prepared. This is such a cool spot; if you don't look for it, you might miss it because it's really in the cut. There isn't any seating on the inside but they do have high top tables for people who would like to dine in. The inside has interesting graphics on the walls and they had a nice playlist playing. During a very important discussion (debate?) about bagels, my friend from New York told me that bialys are superior anyway, but that they should only be enjoyed with butter (cream cheese would be blasphemy). To our surprise wasn't as crowded, but really loved the interior design and the location. Not too obvious, but yet subtle and hidden from the main strip. Parking lot is a bit smaller , but still wasn't too crowded for a great Sunday morning. I decided to order the B.E.C which is bacon, egg, and cheese on a caramelized onion bagel. It was delicious and paired it off with that sweet and savory cream soda. Honestly taking a bite brought me back to the bagel shops around New York. This weekend, we placed a big order for breakfast and I was once again reunited with this beauty of a sandwich. Their bialy bread is a wonderful vehicle for this corned beef. It's topped with special sauce, house made pickles, cheese and just enough lettuce to cut thru the indulgent ingredients.
