    Brisket melt waffle

The great southern box food hall is a nice place to hang, especially when the weather is nice outside. However on hot days, it's best to chill inside. The inside is just as nice as the outdoor area but with the comfort of good A/C and good vibes. As expected, we know going into these food stalls that the prices will be premium due to the expected high rent that these places probably pay. So when we saw waffle sandwich bar, we thought the prices seemed reasonable. The brisket melt waffle sandwich looked reasonable at $18. With taxes and the service fee that all restaurants charge at the hall, it came out to $20. We were expecting a generous based on the price, but we were extremely disappointed with the 3 slices of chopped brisket in the sandwich, and the small size of the waffles. The flavor was good but I'm worried this place won't be able to survive as I am usually pretty forgiving with restaurants but I had to be honest about our experience here. I hope if they continue charging these prices that they'll be a bit more generous with their portion size going forward.

Simply amazing churro waffle sticks with dulce de leche and ice cream topping. Absolutely delightful! The Waffle Sandwich Bar also sponsored a Bachata dance class for free this afternoon. A super-neat place to hang out, and maybe pick up some dance skills occasionally.

Located in the Great Southern Box Co. food hall, this was my first time trying this spot. One of the major things to note is the amount of gluten, vegan, and dairy free options available. What a win for those dietary needs. Everyone was eager to make recommendations. I was surprised by the quite large menu that includes all day breakfast options. I got two waffles: the Burrata and Turkey and the Nutella and Fruit. Each was made to order and served fresh. Nice portions. Plenty of seating throughout the hall.

Churro waffle with vanilla ice cream and dulce de leche on the side!!

The portions and overall quality felt underwhelming for what we paid, especially considering how highly recommended this spot tends to be. The baked goods were also on the expensive side. Some of them were enjoyable, but the quality seemed inconsistent, and not everything felt worth the premium price. At this price point, I expected the food to be more memorable and the flavors to stand out more. The restaurant has a cute, casual bakery atmosphere, but the value was the biggest issue for me. I do not mind paying more for high-quality food, especially from a local business, but the experience needs to justify the cost. There were a few good items, so I would not completely rule out trying Se7enBites again. However, based on this visit, I would be more selective about what I ordered and would probably stick to one baked item rather than committing to a full meal. The service was average.

The space is beautiful, modern, cozy, and very photo-friendly without feeling overly decorated. It's a great place to catch up with friends, grab a drink, or just sit and enjoy the atmosphere. The drinks are always one of my favorite parts. I love their creative combinations and presentation, and everything feels a little more unique than your typical coffee shop. The matcha drinks are especially pretty and refreshing, and I love when a drink tastes as good as it looks. The food selection is also a nice bonus, especially when you want more than just coffee or matcha. That being said, just be prepared for the crowds. Depending on the day and time, the line can get pretty long, and the shop itself can become very busy. It's clearly a popular spot, so sometimes you have to bring a little patience. Parking can also be terrible depending on when you go. That's probably one of my least favorite parts of visiting. On a busy day, finding a spot can feel like its own little side quest before you even make it inside. One newer change I'm personally not a huge fan of is their "Unplugged Saturday," where there's no Wi-Fi available on Saturdays. I understand the idea behind encouraging people to unplug, be present, and socialize, but it does kind of suck if you specifically came to a coffee shop hoping to get some work or studying done. So definitely keep that in mind when deciding which day to visit. Despite those little inconveniences, I still really enjoy Haan Coffee. The beautiful décor, relaxing atmosphere, creative drinks, and food keep bringing me back. If you're coming strictly to hang out, enjoy a good drink, take some cute photos, and catch up with friends, it's a great spot. Just plan accordingly: expect a possible line, prepare yourself for the parking situation, and don't show up on an Unplugged Saturday expecting to knock out three hours of work on their Wi-Fi. Still a favorite for the vibes, food, and drinks!

We ended up sitting at the bar to avoid waiting for a table. The bar was really tight but we made it work. My friend ordered an espresso martini, and it was too milky. For our food, everything was excellent. The avocado toast was fresh and the eggs were perfectly over medium. The home fries were also perfectly crispy. My friend ordered the kale salad with chicken and we both agreed it was one of the best salads we've ever had. The kale was fresh, the chicken was very tender and the dressing was the perfect amount. Between the service and food, we had an excellent experience!

Our high-top caught the steady breeze of people cycling in and out, trading blasts of humid Florida air with AC, but it was manageable enough. Our server was solid and attentive, though the kitchen had a couple of operational hiccups. I ordered the fried green tomatoes to start, but they were forgotten until after our main plates had already landed on the table. When they arrived, the execution was decent. The batter didn't adhere well and slipped off the tomatoes, though the accompanying sauce carried the dish nicely. On the drink side, the virgin blackberry lemonade hit the mark completely: balanced, tart, and refreshing. The breakfast mains were where the kitchen redeemed itself. I built my meal around the bacon and mushroom omelette, which was formidable. It was fully loaded with bacon, cheese, peppers, onions, and mushrooms without feeling greasy or heavy. They had run out of biscuits, which was surprising for a brunch spot mid-shift, so I subbed in sourdough toast. The undisputed star of the meal was the side of cheese grits. I am notoriously particular about grits, restaurants almost always serve them under-salted, gluey, or watery, requiring a table-side overhaul of butter, salt, and pepper. These were dialed in straight from the kitchen. The texture, dairy integration, cheese ratio, and baseline seasoning were spot-on without needing a single touch of salt or pepper. Minor timing and stock quirks aside, BriarPatch remains a reliable staple. I left full, satisfied, and reminded why it is always worth keeping in the local Park Ave rotation.

There are so many different tapas to order from, and the best way to try as many as you can is to order the "Get 'Em All" that's offered at their Happy Hour. It's stuffed with a good amount of chicken, goat cheese, some veggies, and is served with this not-so-tangy mustard sauce. For all the food that was provided, this is such a good deal. There are a ton of other menu items available, that the "Get 'Em All" doesn't cover, that are also definitely worth trying. The entire place is eclectic and oozing with art and creativity. The walls are covered in paintings and other art pieces made by local artists. Each artwork can be purchased to support them. Sometimes there is a live artist working on their art. We had a few gluten free and other dietary restrictions at the table, and he answered every question without missing a beat. That kind of service always stands out. I had the sweet potato, the street corn and the butter chicken tikka masala, and every plate was worth ordering. I also tried the Starry Night cocktail. I normally avoid vodka whenever I can, but this drink completely won me over. Easily one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. If you're already heading to the attractions on I Drive or catching a movie nearby, I'd definitely recommend stopping here. Great food, creative drinks and an atmosphere that's just plain fun without feeling like a tourist trap.
