We ventured into White Wolf Cafe on a Sunday at approximately one o'clock, unaware that the establishment permitted only the brunch menu on that day. By then, most of the specials had vanished into the mist. I ordered a BLT, but some unseen calamity befell it. It arrived only after everyone else had finished eating. Another table appeared to be suffering from similar misfortune. The cafe seemed adequately staffed, so perhaps we had merely arrived on a cursed afternoon. The BLT itself was acceptable, though hardly the stuff of legend. My girlfriend's chicken salad sandwich, however, was excellent. My mother found the pancakes merely adequate, while my stepfather deeply regretted choosing the club sandwich. Service was slow, though the staff remained friendly. Inside, the atmosphere was calm and pleasant, almost suspiciously so. As we ate, several patrons began warning us in hushed voices about a werewolf roaming the area. The moon was full, and the shadows outside seemed to move of their own accord. Fortunately, I never travel without my werewolf hunter kit. We reached the car without incident, but just before I turned the key, a howl rose from the darkness. Then came a low, mournful complaint. The werewolf, it seemed, was dissatisfied with the slow service as well. Despite the cafe's agreeable atmosphere and a few genuinely good dishes, I cannot say White Wolf Cafe left me eager to return. It was a one-time visit for us, a meal best remembered as an eerie little chapter, now mercifully closed. read more

This is an Ivanhoe staple and it must be for lunch or just the vibes. Breakfast was pretty underwhelming even for classic two egg brekky. Sausage gravy wasn't that flavorful. Hashbrowns were the thick square that looks like they make it in super bulk and cut to a serving size for you, barely crisped even though I asked for extra crispy. I did like that they grilled the croissant. Chipotle chicken soup was pretty tasty and probably my favorite part of the breakfast we had there. Glad they're still going strong and always busy in the mornings but I won't be back any time soon for breakfast. Good service and very cool story/decor. read more

I've been to White Wolf Cafe many times over the last few years and have always considered it one of my go to brunch spots. Unfortunately, this last visit completely changed my opinion. The biggest red flag during this visit came when my husband's coffee arrived with someone else's lipstick still on the rim of the cup. It was honestly shocking that something like that made it to our table, unfortunately he didn't notice until after he had already taken his first sip, so the photo doesn't clearly show it, but it was very much there (yikes!) The only positive thing I can say is that our waitress was kind and professional throughout the meal. The restaurant was very busy, which we completely understand, but the wait for our food was excessive. About 15 minutes after we were seated, another couple was sat nearby. They received their food before we did, finished eating, boxed up their leftovers, and only then did our meals arrive. That gives you an idea of just how long we waited. When the food finally came, it was disappointing. I ordered my usual Crab Cakes Benedict, but the avocado was unripe and already oxidized and the poached eggs were overcooked. My husband ordered the chicken salad croissant, and the croissant was very stale, additionally he ordered an over easy egg on the side and it never came. We've always loved recommending this place to friends and family, which makes writing this review especially disappointing. Everyone can have an off day, but between the dirty coffee cup, the extremely long wait, and the poor quality of the food, this visit fell far below the standard we've experienced here before. Tried White Wolf Cafe for the first time and really enjoyed the cozy, mom-and-pop vibe. It has a welcoming, laid-back ambiance. I started with the lemon and blueberry cinnamon roll. The flavor was nice, but it leaned a bit on the dry side and wasn't as gooey or warm as I was hoping. Still, it was worth trying for something a little different. I also ordered the Cloud 1829 that was a hot coffee with Irish whiskey, Irish cream, Frangelico and whipped cream . It came out more lukewarm than hot, which was a little disappointing, but I stuck with it and overall it was still a pleasant drink. The highlight for me was definitely the "Hungry Like a Wolf." I went with pancakes, pattie sausages, eggs, and grits, and everything on the plate was excellent. Well-cooked, flavorful, and satisfying. Decided to have breakfast instead of lunch today with my coworker... She recommended this spot and it didn't disappoint! The vibe is very eclectic lots of beautiful large stain glass chandeliers all over. We started off with a cocktail which didn't disappoint. I had the dark expresso martini and she had a bloody mary both made with love. For breakfast I had the crab eggs benedict which was so yummy and she had the chicken and biscuit. We also got a cinnamon roll to try and they are known for them everything was yummy. Only thing I'd say is it was so cold at the bar and the food got a little cold. But overall great spot and area. I will start by saying the staff here are the friendliest I have ever seen, and they really want you to feel welcome in the eclectic/cozy dining area. We went for brunch and both got the Hungry Like a Wolf, both the french toast and the hash browns were over cooked so that subtracted a bit from the flavor. What a nice little cafe! I stumbled upon this beautiful cafe when I was doing the annual wine walk. I am so glad I came to check it out! I ordered the crabs Benedict ($18) which came with hash browns. It was very filling that I think it could've been shared by 2 girls. I wasn't the biggest fan of the crab cake itself but everything else was amazing. The eggs were poached perfectly and the flavor was top notch. I was surprised they were serving alcohol at 8 am, but it's Florida, more and more things surprise me each day! The Bloody Mary was tasty and a bit too strong for my liking in the morning. Plenty of employees taking care of patrons at their inside-outside casua atmosphere andl seating. Even though there were people waiting, after we checked we were called less than 15 minutes later. We sat outside amd our waitress was friendly and attentive with food, drinks and recommendations. Menu was expansive for any palate, we started with their blueberry- lemon ricotta cinnamon bun, burger with fries, chicken sandwich with chips, fried chicken with gravy and a sausage-egg-cheese wrap with homefries. I used to live close to here and the place was NEVER empty. I understand why. The food is fairly priced. The portions are well served. The staff is very attentive. I happened to suggest it when I had family in town. The place is always packed, so it does have a fair bit of noise, but nothing unbearable. They have a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. Food-wise, the menu has several options for any type of diet. We tried several different courses and they all were more than acceptable. My ONLY complaints was my hash brown was cold and you get two strips of bacon. Otherwise, everything came out hot and tasty. I do recommend you get the cinnamon roll though. It is a good appetizer for the table and sets the rest of the meal up. read more

The shrimp and grits were the star of the table, hands down the best dish of the experience and absolutely worth coming back for. The country fried chicken was very tasty, and the cinnamon bun was delicious. The colossal pancake lived up to its name in size, but unfortunately fell a little flat on flavor, with some seasoning tweaks it could easily be a showstopper. The Bloody Mary, sadly, was a miss for us, not quite what we were hoping for from a brunch cocktail. The service, however, is where the experience took a hit. We waited over 20 minutes just to have our order taken, and drinks were also slow to arrive. At one point, our son-in-law had to get up from the table to track down our server. Our server also seemed to be having a rough day, which was noticeable and did affect the overall vibe of the meal. White Wolf Cafe has genuinely great food and a great concept, this place could be absolutely fantastic with more attentive and consistent service. Been hearing about and seeing great things about the White Wolf Café basically since I moved to the area. Living so far away, I have to time perfectly when I can go to these great restaurants. Well once Saturday morning, lightning struck and we were able to come! We get really lucky with street parking, wait like 20 minutes for a two-top, and get seated and started. Ambiance is beyond cool. Right there in the middle of Ivanhoe, it's surrounded by really cool restaurants, little shops, and of course the great Lake Ivanhoe. Really love coming to this area. And the inside it pretty cool, as well. Dark wood everywhere, art work all over the wall, and Tiffany-style stained glass lamp shades, several of them, hanging from the ceiling. Felt like the inside of an old antique shop. Service was great, too. A very nice fellas. Kept the drinks flowing, food came out at a good pace. No issues here. Now onto the food. I had the Country Fried Chicken (Marinated buttermilk fried chicken breast smothered in homemade sausage gravy. Two eggs with hash browns, home fries or grits & biscuits, toast or English muffins). This was insanely good. A good sized chicken breast, fried to crispy perfection, moist and juicy throughout, and smothered with that excellent gravy. Lovely. The home fries were both white and sweet potatoes, cooked all the way through and charred juuust enough to also be lovely. The eggs were scrambled, they were fine. I also got the chance to try the Baton Rouge Burger (Orlando Burger Battle winner! Cajun seasoned 8oz brisket short rib blend topped with goat cheese, roasted red peppers, citrus slaw and "tobacco" onions). Wow, what a burger! A nice sized patty. Too many burger patties around town have been shrinking lately.. Excellent tang from the goat cheese, excellent acid and sweetness from the slaw, and I'm not sure what was tobacco-like about those onions, but they were the crunch that set this burger off and made it perfect. We got dessert, against our better judgment. We ordered the Cinnamon Roll Ice Cream Sandwich. Wow. Definitely don't order this with no plans to share it. This giant, ooey gooey roll is sliced and stuffed with a nice, not-too-sweet vanilla ice cream, and then the whole thing is absolutely engulfed in whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and caramel. It was overwhelming, but not too overwhelming. I have no regrets. Overall, this place has earned it's place in my top three breakfast places in Orlando, without a doubt. The charm and effort of this place was very appreciated. Since I've gone, they've sold to a larger entity, so I hope they don't mess this place up. Orlandans are not very forgiving of that sort of thing. read more

Came here for Sunday brunch on Mother's Day. The wait was close an hour but it was ok because we found seats at the bar and got mimosas while we waited. We also knew there would be a wait given the day and the place not taking any reservations so it was fine. Once seated, service was friendly and efficient. We immediately put in an order for the cinnamon roll for 4 of us to share. It's been over 10+ years since the last time I was here so I was excited to have it again. It was smaller than I remembered but still pretty big and tasty. I also had a bloody mary with Tito's and a side order of biscuits and gravy as my entree. The portion was very large. The biscuits were nice and fluffy and the gravy was seasoned well. All of my friends tore up their food and did not have any complaints. For the portions and the price I paid, I thought it was a good deal. I ended getting another order of biscuits and gravy to take home to my husband so that plus my order plus the bloody and a cinnamon roll, it came out to about $25! Cons: Being in Ivanhoe means that finding parking could be a challenge, so be prepared for that. Tips: Looks like you should be good with anything you want to order. But if you like burgers, this was a particularly good burger. Was there on 8/9/26 & I hate to give it a thumbs down. It's just that the place needs a past due deep cleaning. It smells musty and the dust on all the Knick-Knacks is off putting. While sitting at the bar I witnessed one of the waiting staff take out the over priced tall shot glasses (the ones u can take home) straight from the box to be used. Shouldn't they be rinsed? I believe it changed owners but everything is so run down and those for sale lamps should just be sold on Facebook marketplace and use the profits for perhaps some paint. The food and restaurant feel tired. It's worth saving for the community but it's in need of major CLEANING & REFRESH!! read more

Came to Orlando for my cousins babyshower We were staying near the hotel ( which was ehhh not the best double tree Hilton I have stayed in) we were looking for a place to have breakfast and we came up across this place white wolf cafe, its a hidden gem -they can use a bigger parking lot -We had to wait a few mins which wasn't bad it was pretty busy -The outside is nice, a few tables outside, the specials for that day -the inside was even more busy, the ceiling had unique chandeliers, very pretty very cool environment -Amber was our server and she was amazing! I absolutely adore White Wolf Cafe! It's my favorite place to go with my buddies whenever someone is visiting from out of town. I super hype up White Wolf Cafe as the place that makes the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had. Unfortunately, this place has ruined all other cinnamon rolls for me. I no longer enjoy getting Cinnabon at CityWalk; I can't make the Pillsbury ones at home... I have to wait for my 'fresh out of the oven' warmmm and gooey cinnamon roll from White Wolf! The servers are all very nice. And the prices for alcohol is VERY affordable (especially the mimosas and Bloody Marys). I usually order the Hungry Like the Wolf for brunch- including eggs, (okay) hash browns, bacon, and two of the most delish, fluffy pancakes. My out of towner buddies from NY said that their pancakes were some of the best they've ever had! I agree; I love a great, airy, golden brown pancake. I've also had the BLT, which was yummy and plentiful of bacon. The atmosphere is really cozy inside. I love the decor with all of the artwork. I've never had an issue finding parking- I usually find parking within a block or two (sometimes I get lucky enough to find a space within their actual lot). On the weekends, there is usually a wait... But the area is so beautiful- I don't mind walking around and checking out the shops (including the awesome record store across the street). I love my White Wolf Cafe and am savoring the moment that I can be reunited with my cinnamon bun and pancakes again! read more
