Lorelei is just the CUTEST European-inspired wine bar! Upon arrival, you feel as if you've been transported to a wine bar in France, and, in all honesty, what more can one want? It is located in the Mills 50 district next to Tori Tori (another local FAV). It is truly a nice little getaway spot from the usual hustle and bustle of the Mills 50 bar scene. They have seating indoors and outdoors. Their outdoor patio area is charming and adorned with umbrellas, and the fountain just adds a special touch, as well as masks the typical street sounds of passing cars and passersby. In the cooler months, the patio is just a vibe! The interior is just as charming with "French-inspired" influences, lovely lighting & decor that ties in the European escape this wine bar beautifully embodies. On my first visit, we tried to sit outdoors, but the Florida heat (& bees) had other plans for us. So, we transitioned inside and sat at their bar area. We were immediately greeted by the kindest servers who guided us on their menu selections. My friend and I, with similar wine tastes (we both love our wines DRY like DESERT), both opted for a glass of rosé and YUM! We followed it up with a white selection recommended by our server, and we enjoyed it immensely. Truly ten, ten, tens across the board! We did not eat (which, in all honesty, is okay with me). And based on reviews from various other Yelpers, the consensus SEEMS to be to eat prior to coming to Lorelei. So, I kept that in mind and on my second visit to Lorelei, I decided to just try MORE of their wine selection. On my most recent visit, we did try some light bites. Typically, on all my visits, I usually cap around two glasses of wine, and it's reasonable. They are not the cheapest spot, especially if you add food to your tab, but for the quality, it is worth it (to me as it relates to the wine selection), as I haven't really had a terrible glass of wine there. Maybe on my next visit, I'll try more of their food menu. Beyond that, Lorelei has been a great addition to the Mills 50 District! I finally made it here for a craft event hosted on the patio! The ambiance is so fun and European feeling - it's like being transported to somewhere outside of Orlando! It was a hot night but they do keep some fans outside. They have a nice wine selection - we both enjoyed different whites and both were delish! The inside looks gorg as well - definitely small, but very well decorated. Service was attentive during the event. Now that it's perfect patio weather, Lorelei has the best patio in Orlando. On a balmy or cool night, it honestly feels like you're in cute coastal town. I've come here twice to enjoy some wine with the girls and it's been lovely each time! They have a great selection of wines by the glass and by the bottle. There's also some small plates and desserts if you're feeling peckish. This is the perfect place to grab after-dinner drinks and end the night with conversation. I've tried the Chocolate Mousse and Charcuterie Board. The Charcuterie Board is lovely! It comes with such an assortment of meats, pickles, and nuts -- it was perfect for nibbling. The Chocolate Mousse was a bit disappointing; it was more of a chocolate pudding and lacked that rich and creamy chocolate decadence that I expect from a dessert. I enjoyed the cherries that came with it though. Service was very prompt and friendly! If you're looking to sit inside, I recommend coming in groups of 2, 5, or 6 (and you should make a reservation ahead of time). The outdoor area can seat groups of 3-4 without reservations. I've had my eye on this spot for quite awhile and what better way to enjoy it other than for my birthday lunch with my favorite girls! I had some main goals of YES and I NEED, which was a nice bottle of wine, those gorgeous blue and white printed plates, the blue crab cannoli, and the ousters. All of which I received in the best presentation possible. The team at Lorelei even made my lunch ever so special by serving everything on those plates along with enhancing my blue crab cannoli with caviar on the top instead of the regular fish eggs that are placed which I was just full of joy and happiness seeing how special they surprised and customized my dishes for me! Lorelei has quickly become one of my favorite new wine bars! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. They take a team-based approach to service--there are no assigned servers--which creates a really unique and collaborative vibe. My friend and I sampled a few different white wines, and the staff was so kind and helpful in guiding us to the perfect pairings. I love all the wines we tried. We ordered the Bruschetta di "Ricotta," which tasted incredibly fresh--the vegan "ricotta" was a standout. We also tried one of the vegan flatbreads, and it was absolutely delicious. I love this intimate wine bar located just off of Colonial. A blend of the old world with a touch of coastal boho design the interior is stunning. I was surprised to learn that the building is completely new. It resembles a remodeled bungalow - which is reflective of many of the houses in the immediate area which further adds to its charm. Parking is sufficient and you shouldn't be forced to find parking on the street. It is in close proximity to other popular eateries such as EdoBoy and Tori Tori. My friend and I stopped by to get a quick bite to eat before a night out. We enjoyed non-alcoholic white wine, the beef carpaccio, charcuterie board, and a small dessert. Everything was well-presented and delicious. No complaints and definitely had a wow factor in line with the ambience. People were smartly dressed as we were. Stylish even. The space did fill up pretty quickly but we were able to have a nice conversation. I wouldn't mind coming back to enjoy a small bite and drink with friends. Definitely a yes for a date. It's really charming and great if you want to spend time having a great conversation. It is one of my favorite places to spend time in Orlando thus far. I most definitely will be back. Lorelei is a stunning new addition to the Mills 50 neighborhood and probably one of the prettiest places in Orlando. A common phrase I keep hearing people say when they describe this wine bar is that they "instantly feel transported to Europe" and I have to agree. Their outdoor patio with the umbrellas and fountain is such a vibe and I look forward to enjoying evenings sipping on bubbly (once the weather cools down). For my first visit, I met up with a friend and we were lucky enough to score the last 2-top inside. It was around 5:30pm on Wednesday and the bar and other tables were already full. The indoor seating was a bit more limited than I expected, and they only have 2 larger tables that seat more than 2 people. So be sure to get there early when they first open at 4pm if you want to score a larger table. I have to say that the tiny tables were pretty cramped and close together - I almost couldn't fit to sit down in my chair, but we made it work. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. I asked about the Stift Klosterneuburg sparkling wine from Austria and she perfectly described the tasting notes, and it sounded right up my alley. It was light & refreshing and I really enjoyed it. Now onto the food... I would not suggest coming here super hungry or expecting a full dinner (unless you're ready to drop some big $$$). The plates are VERY small and priced around $22 ea. My friend and I shared the blue crab cannolis (they are mini sized), the beef carpaccio, and the scallop crudo. While everything was enjoyable and visually appealing, it definitely left us wanting more. But at $70 for 3 tiny plates, I just could not justify the price. This is a great spot for happy hour, pre-dinner drinks, and just a little nibble. I'll keep that in mind the next time I go. P.S. I utterly love this new spot! Everyone here is lovely, patient, and knowledgeable about their wine and food! It's a tapas style wine shop, with beer options as well. A very European patio vibe place, elegant and timeless. The menu items are fresh and have a variety of options for every foodie. I was most impressed with the champagne and took two bottles home. Not to mention room, the Italian vanilla gelato with olive oil and sea salt, most delicious thing I've had in a while. So much so, I've recreated it at home. Super cute wine bar here. I'd say this is the perfect spot to catch up with girlfriends and leave the boys at home unless they love wine lol it could be one of the stops for a date night. They don't serve alot of food here so maybe eat before you go if you're starving but if you can wait, eat after (we walked over to Tori Tori after) I would definitely visit again. I have more wines to try. We were told that some wines are only exclusive to Lorelei. I tried the blue crab cannolis, cheese board and a flatbread, the Riesling and Sauvi. The only thing I didn't like is that we couldn't make reservations. There was a big party ahead of us and they stayed for 3 hours. We were told that was the limit but good Lord ! It came with honey and jam that paired deliciously and all the must have crackers, olives and nuts you'd want on a good cheese board. My friends spilt the fig and duck prosciutto flatbread. Super cute wine bar. Stopped by on a Thursday around 8 and waited approx 15 min for a table. The place was packed. Service was excellent. We enjoyed chatting with our servers and they were around often to check on us. We started with tap water and Sauvignon blanc. Sam, our server, said it was grapefruit forward. It truly was! And I was impressed that she characterized the wine correctly. So many times you go places and the servers don't know anything about the wine profiles. We shared the beef carpaccio- excellent ! With the toasts on the side. I had the blue crab cannolis - so good! Freshly stuffed and not soggy. And my Gf friend had the scallop crudo. We appreciated the G on the menu to delineate GF options and how they could remove the bread from most dishes to make it GF. Menu is limited- I would recommend they elaborate on it. The place could benefit from meatballs and mussels. But maybe that will come with time. They've only been open about two months. Wine list is great. Lots of options by the glass and bottle. We even got a sample of a wine recommended by Hanna, another server. I was glad to try it because I had never had that one before, and in fact, I ended up ordering something else- a Tempranillo - and I was very pleased. We were not shuffled out at the end of the night. We never felt rushed. FYI- the door is very heavy and two couples thought the place was closed. The servers ran out to grab them. But just know- the door is not locked. It's VERY heavy. Decor is super cute, even in the bathrooms. Lovely bar. Parking out back, behind the place, is plentiful. My friend was wringing out the wet towel in her dress to wipe the seats for us. Lastly, the bartender was quite rude. I was really excited to come to this place but the expectations were not met.
