The tapas and sangria at Santiago's are top tier. I ordered the croquettas and the chicken skewers as well as the red sangria. The chicken skewers came with lemon and a delicious yogurt sauce. The croquettes were cheesy and crispy and served with a chive sour cream I believe? 10/10. We ordered pitchers of red sangria and it paired well with the tapas. I tried a few bites of the curry mussels and the ceviche. The mussels were very flavorful and I wish I ordered it myself! I came here for a Sunday brunch and had a nice experience. Definitely make a reservation, and know it's fully automated through an answering service which is interesting. For the brunch it's $50 including drinks, a hot/cold buffet, and a few items to be ordered off the menu. Overall, the service was wonderful and attentive, but the food just didn't impress me for the price. Granted, a decent portion must be to account for the endless mimosas :) I liked the sausage and gravy the most even though it's simple, and of course the crab legs. I also recommend trying the steak and avocado toast! Everything else though tasted good like eggs, hash browns, Mac n cheese, but like I said, it was just a little plain for the price. This might just be my favorite Orlando restaurant out there -- it truly never fails! We had a reservation for 6 on a Friday night for dinner and had great service (as always!) Our server, Amiya, made sure we were taken care of the entire time and was so sweet. We ordered quite a bit of food, some that we knew were our favorites and some new to us, and were happy with everything! We ordered the stuffed dates, croquettas, shrimp & chorizo skewers, rack of lamb, the crab bruschetta, and patatas bravas. Loved it all and left stuffed! 5 Stars for a long-standing spot in Ivanhoe (on Virginia) that's perfect for brunch, lunch, or dinner! First off, Santiago's benefitted from a gorgeous spring day so we sat outside on their front patio. It was lunchtime so we ordered a bunch of tapas dishes. I also went in recently for dinner and had just as good an experience! I recommend the Patatas Bravas (pan-fried potatoes in a spicy tomato sauce) which definitely have a kick, and the Bread Pudding. It's baked with fresh croissants and drizzled with a caramel bourbon glaze then finished with a scoop of English custard ice cream (from local Ice creamer, Lulu's) and fresh blueberries. Holy Moley. This bread pudding (which I've been hearing about since Santiago's opened) is AMAZING! I may go back just for a quick glass on wine and desert soon just to taste it again. We made reservations at Santiago's Bodega for a light dinner before seeing A Christmas Carol at Orlando Shakes, just a few blocks away. Parking can definitely be a challenge; there's only a small lot in the back, and most of the rest is street parking, which gets crowded with all the nearby businesses and neighborhoods. The atmosphere is really cool: Spanish-themed, intimate, lively, and perfect for tapas. They also have outdoor seating, which is a nice option if you want to sit outside. Happy hour deals and wine discounts are great; we had a South African Pinotage at a very reasonable price, and it was even discounted. Food-wise, it was a mix of highs and lows. The wedge salad was disappointing. The dressing was runny, pooled at the bottom of the plate, and didn't have much flavor. On the other hand, the Shrimp and Chorizo skewers were delicious and perfectly cooked, and the Dates stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in prosciutto were amazing; I loved the sweet and salty combination. The Chicken Skewers with olive oil, lemon zest, rosemary, and lemon-tarragon sauce were fine, but the chicken itself was a little dry and not very memorable. The Trio--traditional hummus, roasted red pepper hummus, and black olive tapenade with pita bread, was simple but good. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive, and the noise level was moderate, lively but not overwhelming. My wife and I love coming here for happy hour or dinner whenever we can. Sometimes it's with our littles, and sometimes we can slip away thanks to the babysitter. The service is always impeccable in either situation with the children being taken care of immediately or it's just us having casual drinks and small bites. Okay, I've now been here for happy hour, brunch, dinner and lunch and I am a fan! My absolute most favorite thing on the menu hands down is the rosemary chicken. I've ordered it almost every time I've eaten here and it is consistently delicious! The Sunday brunch is well worth the price although back in the day it used to include crab legs which I DEVOURED but their shrimp is equally good and unlimited mimosas?? Yes, please! We both had recommended martinis and shared the fried gnocchi and boa buns. We wouldn't suggest the gnocchi, felt overcooked and the little drizzle of aoili was its saving grace and wish we had more of it. A friend of mine was in from upstate New York and this is one of her favorite places to visit when she is back in town. We sat at the bar and were welcomed by Karen, whom my friend knew by name. I also selected the Roman meatballs served with angel hair pasta and marinara. Not sure I would order it again as it lacked sufficient marinara sauce and was somewhat bland. The only issue I had with the afternoon visit was the temperature in the bar area. It was maybe mid-60's that day and windy. The windows of the bar area were open. In addition, a fan was blowing in the opposite corner which made the room feel even colder. I went to the restroom halfway through the meal and when I came out, I felt warm air by the hostess desk. I asked the young lady where the heat was coming front, and she pointed to the heater in the corner. Even she was cold in this establishment given she was right at the open front door. Serves small plates menu items that we wanted one of each as you see the patrons were being served. Ambiance is very kool you might think you were in someone's house with full bar service, high table seating, and lower seating with also outside seating. Order taker and server name was Kaitlyn explained our options and highlighted the menu for us. Also the food is served as it is prepared so first items do in the kitchen come out no sitting under any type of heat lamps. We got the 50 dollar a person brunch special they have on weekends and ended up loving it. Super nice atmosphere with very friendly and professional waiters and waitresses. The food was phenomenal. Everything I grabbed was well seasoned and delicious. What surprised me the most was the eggs. It's a self serve brunch and 99 percent of the time when you grab eggs from those metal containers you know they are going to be bland as heck, but these were far from that. Seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Candied bacon was so good I think it deserves its own shout too. Wife and I went with delicious fresh OJ mimosas and man were they not stingy at all with champagne, which of course is appreciated for obvious reasons. All in all it was great. Our server was friendly however he neglected to tell us where the second half of the buffet was located. The food was mediocre at best and looked like it had been sitting too long plus they weren't really keeping up with demand. We ordered some food off the menu that was tastier but the server brought it out towards the end of our meal.
