For starters, the lounge is for DVC members (and their guests) only. We went with the second option and only had to wait for about ten minutes before being allowed access. The lounge gives off a ritzy, 1930s/1940s vibe with a massive chandelier and red & black velvet decor. If the creepy child kidnapper from The Rescuers and Jafar and Frollo were to all meet and discuss how to be terrible people over some delicious cocktails, they would do it here. The service at TWL is top-notch, which makes sense since they are catering to some of Disney's biggest fans and most frequent visitors. The menu is small, it is a lounge after all and not a full-service restaurant. There are some incredible drinks and a few appetizers on the menu, plus a modest selection of beer and wine. While the lounge has floor-to-ceiling windows that allow you to see the castle at Magic Kingdom, TWL also has an outdoor, private balcony where you can watch the fireworks and feel the boomies (an official, scientific word) from the show. Reservations to watch the fireworks are not required, but they will verify your DVC membership before being allowed access. And yes, you can get a drink to go from the bar in the lounge and sip it over some fireworks. I've been a DVC member since 2012 and have come to Disney at least 10 times since purchasing. How I neglected to experience this is beyond me. Thankfully the TWL isn't only for Bay Lake Tower guests (aside from 4 nights in the entire calendar year). It was served as a square, crispy on the outside, like it was deep fried, covered with cinnamon sugar, but still soft on the inside.
