Service was fast, prices were reasonable, they had a lively DJ spinning and interacting with/entertaining the crowd, multiple dart boards and a few large TVs for watching sports. A great dive bar right in downtown Orlando. The drinks a decent, the prices are pretty good and they have good music and darts. Right near a lot of other bars downtown and only a block away from the Orlando Library parking garage. The only downside is the bathroom here is not great. Only one room for men and one for women and there is always a line. read more

Literally one of my favorite bars in Orlando!!!!! Nestled in the heart of downtown, walking distance to everything, I'm obsessed with this bar. The bartenders are always overly friendly, they always have a nice heavy pour, and the drinks are always super affordable! We came here on Halloween night I had a gift card and we bought for drinks. The Ipa beer on tap for $6 and a Jameson and whiskey was $6. The bar staff was very friendly and the place was packed we didn't stay long we had a good time. this bar is connected to several other bars and there is outside seating. New bar downtown alert. See what I get for not prowling the streets downtown for a couple months! This place drew me in like a moth to a flame with loud, popular, slightly older music blaring and luring me over from a block away. I had a great experience going in fuel but dalton the bartender made swigs a terrible experience for me and my sister and I will be sure to not attend this bar if this staff is present. In my most recent trip to the U.S. and A, I stop by this bar to learn more about American culture in order to make positive benefit for glorious nation of Kazakhstan. The bathrooms here were much cleaner than the pig stalls I am used to back in my home. The ladies there were also verrryyyyyy niceee and much more welcoming than my previous American venture out in California with my ex-wife Pamela Andersons. She a no like me much anymore. My wife and I stopped here while in Downtown Orlando on Halloween Night. This is a hip little bar with several craft beers on draft and a full liquor selection to choose from. The prices are reasonable and the staff were great. Someone snatched my beer while we were talking to a couple but the bartender replaced it for me at no charge. I thought that was outstanding service. We didn't stay long since we were bar hopping but we both agreed that we would revisit the next time we are in the area. read more

If i could give zero stars I would. The service was horrible. They don't serve you unless they know who you are which is not the way to run a business. Give others a chance to give you business. I sat at that bar for almost 30 minutes to end up just leaving. I would not recommend. There are many other bars around that will treat you like you're a paying customer. read more

People like to throw around the word "gourmet" because they do not have a refined palate. A loud and cheap college-style bar located in Downtown Orlando. How you would view Swiggs, which is located on Central in the old Whiskey Dicks location, depends on what you are looking for in a bar. For me, I'm looking for a place with fun drinks, some music, some interesting things to do, and maybe a cool theme. My wife is looking for a place that has a cocktail list and where we don't have to scream to hear each other over the music. If that is also your idea of a good bar, then Swiggs isn't the place for you and you should probably avoid it. However, if you are young and/or single and looking for a place to get cheap drinks, hear really loud music (sometimes live), party, and pretty much go to a college bar while you are downtown, then Swiggs would be a great place for you to go. They offer really cheap drinks ($2 Bud Lights and $3 or $4 wells) that remind me of some of the bars over by UCF and up in Gainesville. They have poker on Wednesday nights (the reason we were there last Wednesday), which is a fun activity if you are looking for something to do before going out later on a weeknight. The place doesn't seem to get too packed earlier in the night, so you don't have to wait a long time to get drinks from the bartender, which is a solid plus when you're in that scene. Basically, if you are looking to party downtown, Swiggs is a great place to be. Overall, while this might make me sound old, Swiggs is a bar that is really meant for college students and single adults looking to party. If that's your scene, then definitely check this place out. If you are looking for more than cheap drinks and loud music, look elsewhere. read more

Really cool spot in town! Very nice bar area with huge TVs, tons of options to chose from, enough tables for a very large crowd and a great vibe. Location is awesome, easy to find and there is a very convenient parking garage across the street. I used to always come here back when it was Whiskey Dicks. It pretty much seems to be the same, with cheap drinks and loud music. My friends & I stopped in after a festival in the afternoon, and there were about 20 guys in there hanging out. Not a single female, LOL. We had a drink, and just relaxed. When we were leaving, there still were no other females except for us. I'll have to come back and check it out at night to see what the vibe is then. Swiggs has the best atmosphere if you want to be around great people and have great service. The management and bartenders really cater to everyone and the drinks get served quickly and taste awesome. Being well traveled and lived in cities like Miami, NYC, and LA, I personally love going to Swiggs because it reminds me of a lot of the chill surf/ skate dive bars I used to venture back in the day. Wow, the 1st to review! This establishment has only been open about 2 months. My husband and I decided to travel to Orlando from Tampa for Sunday Funday. We had no idea how serious Orlando folks take that term. Swiggs was so much fun. Upon entering the music was booming, they had a live DJ on a SUNDAY afternoon, it really set the mood. Did I mention fantastic drink specials?!? $2 draft Bud Lights, $2 Fireball shots, and tons more. The bartenders were very friendly and everyone was just enjoying their Sunday afternoon day drinking. Swiggs labels itself as the "okayest bar in town" but I'd disagree. I have become a loyal Swiggs customer since. If you like the college bar vibe, this is a great place. I highkey love a rowdy bar with a fun crowd and Swiggs is definitely it. Sunday Funday is a blast. There is a DJ playing tunes that range from 90's pop to current hip hop, they always play various sports on games on the many TV's across the bar (I personally don't care for that but if you're into sports it's good to know). Every time I go I always make some new friends and talk to people, it's amazing how social everyone becomes when after 8 cheap drinks. Yes, cheap drinks. Swiggs is what used to be "Whiskey Dick's" a few years ago. Love the new look and branding. Same great prices on drinks. The music is always good and it is very loud in here, so not a place for conversation. Everyone always seems to be having a great time and the bartenders are friendly. Best place to either start to the night or end the night. Staff is very attentive, and they always host the major fights so if your favorite location is packed this is the place to be. I want to give a big shoutout to the security team working last night on Friday, January 3rd. I was trying to use the MEN'S bathroom since I am a man and the door was slammed in my face. Two white women walked out of the bathroom and said "do you like disrespecting women?" I said "WTF, I am just waiting to use the bathroom". One of those raggedy, filthy, sloppy pigsty humanoid females had the audacity to open palm slap me across my face in front of the whole bar. At that point I had to defend myself and throw her across the bar into the ATM. I'm not letting some blonde racist crackhead disrespect me. I immediately ran to the security guard so he could know the truth before they could try to lie on me and say I did something. He automatically had my back and immediately told those disgraceful girls they had to leave. The girls then tried to go to the bar next door since they were connected and tattle on me to that bouncer. The bouncer here at Swiggs had my back once again and quickly shut them down and told them to leave again. I was able to enjoy the rest of the night. If I see that bouncer again, I will be buying him a Mexican food platter. I always knew I liked Swiggs for some reason. read more

Be extremely cautious about going to this bar. Multiple female friends I know have ordered a single drink at Swiggs, and were blacked out by the end of that one drink. This has happened 3 times over the last year to different women I know, only at Swiggs. Not a safe place to drink. read more

Nice place. The atmosphere was just about there but the presentation was not. As an avid lounge goer, the DJ could not associate his music to the crowd and the feel. The manager was a little clueless as to how to market his drinks as well as his bar, and when asked for a business card no one seemed to know what was asked. There is massive potential to be a bar that makes double what they do but the motivation isn't there. Like being half way up the mountain and calling it good enough. I hope to see better from this bar but it would really take a crew that feels and moves with the atmosphere. Dartboards detract from potential customer space in an environment where that should be the last thought of mind from the costumer. Strange assortment of video games laid in the back where it was too mixed with a seemly opposing atmosphere,are we trying to maybe play 007 on Nintendo 64 or are we trying to party?
