Vault 5421 is a speakeasy in the back of a novelty store, God's & Monsters. Came on a Sunday and just lucked out on getting a seat because the place was packed. Love the horror theme and they play horror movies on the TVs. Definitely a touristy kind of place. They have video games and specialty drinks. There are mocktales and shots, but really they taste about the same, super sweet. I loved there selection of craft beer in the cans and bottles. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a cool way to spend a few hours. read more

This bar is inside "Gods and Monsters" comic book shop and what a fun concept it is! First of all, the store itself is really big and has A LOT to look at. They have a ton of great items and would have loved to spend more time in the shop but it was getting close to last call at their bar and wanted to make sure I tried a drink. The bar itself is quite small, but it packs a bunch with décor. There is so much to see and every time you look a different way, there's something else you didn't see before. When I came, it was really not crowded which is good because like I said, it is small so it was nice to be able to walk around. My friends and I all tried different drinks and they were all really good. The service was fast and efficient. I would definitely check this place out again and recommend. Tucked away inside of a comic book store, this bar brings a rotating menu and fun vibes to the Orlando area. They have a cage dancer and music playing constantly. It is pretty loud and can get crowded on occasion, so be sure to arrive early if you're planning on being here on Fri/Sat night. I'm unsure if they update their menu every quarter or if there's a specific reason for it, but check their Instagram/website if you would like to see their new additions! Capacity is caped at 40 but you will appreciate the space and ability to move around. My negative part is the drinks. Mixed drinks tasted good but it was wine liquor, stick with beer or wine. You had me at speakeasy but there is so much more to this spot! First you have to enjoy the comic shop you walk through. So much amazing vintage and nostalgia in one spot! Walk to the back and get transported to the most unique bar ever! I went during Halloween, not sure if the decor was typically that extravagant. They had a fun halloween theme menu to chose from. We had an excellent time during our first visit at Vault 5421! We went on a Saturday night at midnight and it was pretty busy! The ambience is electric! I wish I had more time to explore. We were lucky as a party of two to snag a few seats. My friend and I got seasonal cocktails (the spicy marg and dolewhip flavored drink). Both were EXCELLENT! There was also an impressive live dancer. There's some notebooks to freely sketch whatever you'd wish in them. The hours on Google Maps said until 2:00 but they had last call at 12:30 for a 1:00 am (?) close. That was the only hiccup but we had a great hour there and plan on returning! Not to mention, it's more fun to look at what the shop has to offer after a drink or two. Will for sure be back! read more

The comic store itself had lots of collectibles and everything to fulfill your comic needs. The Vault is the star of the show that's located at the back of the store. I LOVE this place. I can go to any old bar with stools and tables, styled in a vaguely themed room... but why would I when this spot exists?! Vault 5421 is SO much fun! They change up the apocolyptic decor every now and then and boy is it FUN! If you are looking for a quiet little spot with lots of beige and brown or something with clean white interiors, this is NOT a place you will be comfortable in. However, if you are a fan of pop culture, movies, games and comics then I am pretty confident you will appreciate this over the top, very small, little Orlando secret!! What a phenomal hidden gem in the back of a comic book shop! That's right, it's basically a speakeasy and one that needs to be known by everyone! The place is absolutely amazing. It's a tiny little place with a handful of seats. The walls are decorated with some awesome and spooky decorations. Words honestly can't describe how amazing this place is. The drink prices are actually really great and you do get a decent amount of bang for your buck here. All the drinks are themed after movies or videogames and they also have $5 shots which are all mixed but strong! When I was here, my drinks were served insanely quick with then being complete before I even took my card out to start a tab. My wife and her sister got mixed drinks as well. I got a drink that tasted like a liquid candy corn and it was amazing! I also got a beer that for the price of $7 bucks, had some robust and amazing flavor! The shots are served in little pill cups like ones they give patients in facilities, it made it really all the more cool with the themeing of that place! They also have a couple little arcade games to play as well as an NES console to play some tekken with friends! This place is tiny and off the beaten path and a less congested mall area away from eyed drive. The comic bookshop is awesome with lots of old-school nods. Too many of the cartoons. I grew up with. The speakeasy was easy to walk in without any hassle and not a very long wait for drinks or even a spot to sit although it was fairly full for the tight little space. It was really cool and the bartenders were great overall good vibes and as long as you don't come in there with a Mixology expectation for speakeasies, then you will be all good. It really kinda reminds me of one of my favorite dive bars in nyc near the village that closed down. This place is more about novelty than cocktails. read more

My first experience with a "speakeasy" and I don't know if I'll ever find a place to top it! This bar is located inside of a comic book shop, Gods & Monsters, all the way to the back right through the vault door. The bar has a post-apocalyptic vibe and plays Synthwave music alongside horror movies on their screens, really awesome aesthetic. Drinks were decently strong and tasty, plus reasonably priced. No cover charge to enter the bar so this works out to be a cool and affordable date stop or fun place to grab a few drinks with friends. There are a few games available (e.g. cards, trivia) and you are able to enter the comic book shop to purchase additional games as needed. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this speakeasy!! It is located inside of a comic book store, which just adds to the overall energy of the speakeasy! As a lover of comics, it is nice to find a place I can combine that hobby as well as enjoying a little cocktail. After a certain hour there is a bouncer that will check your ID before entering the speakeasy. If the bouncer is not there, then the bartender will ask for identification. The bartender we had (wish I got her name but she was covered in tattoos with blonde hair and more on the shorter side) was super friendly and nice! She recommended drinks for us to try. I was surprised I liked the Rad Water, which is their take on an espresso martini, with a twist! And the Little Sister shot is worth trying but it is strong! This was a great place with some very cool decor. It is in the back of a comic store so we did poke around at the items in the store and they have some great stock items as well. We were able to get a table when we walked in and then one of us would go to the bar to order. It was not too crowded, but the place is on the smaller side so seating could be tight with a larger group. I opted to try one of their summer cocktails - Two Summers (vodka, muddled basil and strawberries, lemonade, and soda water). It was light and refreshing as well as balanced flavor. I really enjoyed it and would have ordered another if there were not other items I wanted to try. For my second round I chose the Imperator (gin, lavender, lemon juice, simply syrup, and club soda). It was well balanced and refreshing. I enjoyed this drink as well. It was not as sweet as the Two summers, but would order it again on my next visit. Coming up to Orlando for Thanksgiving with the lovely Spensyr and her family, I was promised a surprise, and this place was definitely that! In a hidden ''mall" off of I-drive is a small (and very overpriced) comic & gaming shop. In the back of that shop is a pretty cool looking door advertising itself as Vault 5421, and inside of that cool door is a hidden Fallout themed speakeasy!! A TV in the back was playing a horrible B movie called Thankskilling 2 which involved puppets with chainsaw genitalia when we walked in, and it was so bad we couldn't look away. Food seemed limited to candy and chips , but the drink selection was kinda cool. We tried a couple different things and were pretty happy with our choices, though sadly the imagination that inspired the bar walls and art does not extend to drink presentation, as it seems like most things are just served in a mason glass with a paper straw... Service was good. Knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Two thumbs up. There's a table at the front for gamers, and a D&D game was underway while we were there. Old school video game consoles around the periphery of the room offer something for you to do once you've exhausted the drink menu, but a much better time can be had just checking out all the decor around the room. read more

Came in this evening really fast for a drink. I got a Nuka cola quantum - it was a vodka and a blue Kurosawa and sweet-and-sour on ice. It was only eight dollars. It's the vibe and the ambience of the bar are spectacular; and tonight was really nice because it was a bit slow and quieter. However the only reason why this is getting three stars is because it took me about 10 minutes to finally flag down a bartender they were all too busy kibitzing with one another. We came here for the anniversary celebration of the game store. It's an interesting location. The decor is interesting and it's pretty small. There's a large bar for the space toward the back of the location. It's narrow and difficult to get to for drinks. There was one waitress working and walking around. She did what she could. Vault 5421 of course made the list because he's into comics and video games and honestly he's a nerd lol. It was really dope, even for someone like me that could really care less. The drinks were reasonably priced and they had some nostalgic games to play like Mario Bros so that was fun. If I had to say anything that I didn't love about the place is that they played serial killer movie music lol....it fit the aesthetic of the place, so that's not the complaint....I just would've stayed longer if it was bar music or something. What a fun place to have part two of date night! We came to this place on a whim after debating on where to go after we did an escape room earlier in the evening. Thanks to Yelp I was super intrigued by Vault 5421 and away we went! The moment you get to the plaza you may feel like you are lost but just keep in mind you are in the right place. It's in the back of a comic book shop! When you walk in you feel completely immersed in the theming. The decor is intense but effective. It's just really cool. The bartenders dress their parts and match the decor. Even if they look intimidating they are SO NICE and helpful. The list of mixed drinks are so unique and inventive and I really enjoyed the Kaiju Colada. In addition to that drink I also got a Little Sister shot which literally tastes like a jolly rancher. SO GOOD. Which also means it's dangerous so tread lightly. Haha. If you are looking for something fun, new and different for an evening out definitely check this place out! I'm so glad that my friends found this speakeasy! Such a treasure. Vault 5421 is pop culture fanatic heaven. I've been to my fair share of comic shops and have never seen a bar tucked into one.
