I came by Half Barrel for the first time in a long while for an engagement party, and it's just such a cool spot! It's very unassuming from the outside and inside it's got some really cool artwork and a staff that matches the vibe! Everyone was very friendly and Courtney in particular gave a great recommendation for their island jam sour that is one of their very own brews! Normally I am not big into sours but the ones here were top notch! Before I knew it I was already done with 4 of them and I can't wait to go back and try out more of their options!

    Nice and clean

Great spot for beer lovers! They have an impressive selection of beers from all over Florida, with a wide range that covers everything from crisp lagers to rich ambers and hoppy IPAs--there's definitely something for everyone. We also tried the chicken tenders and fries, and they did not disappoint. The buffalo sauce has a unique twist compared to the classic version, but it works really well and adds a flavorful kick without being overwhelming. The Ravenous Pig Foxtail Coffee Blonde stands out... you can really taste the coffee in the blonde ale! The bartender was very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, a solid place to hang out, explore different local brews, and enjoy some tasty food. Definitely worth checking out!

What a fun brewery! Lots of TV's and fun art on the walls. We had the best time tonight. Great service from the bartender and the kitchen. Beers and seltzer were great and the wings and hummus plate were delicious!

If you are in the Orlando area and near universal or top golf in one drink or local beverage half barrel of beer Project us a spot for you. From wine, to local siders and seltzers, to local drafts as IPAs as well as hoppy beers they've got a little bit of everything. I grabbed the peach berry cider from Michigan and I can it was $6.50; I got hungry later in the evening and I decided to order the big pretzel for $13. You can order through the QR code at your table with your phone or you can set up order with the gentleman at the bar. We weren't really serviced as we didn't really have a server however there is a gentleman at the bar and there is a person in the kitchen that brings you your food to your table. The ambience of half barrel of beer project is like a local spot for taps and food as well as fun and games!! This is in the epic universe area/topgolf area off of Universal Boulevard. 10/10

Really nice brewery with fast and friendly service. I was asked right away if I wanted to try anything. They have a few board games to play too. I got the Green Man Porter and it was amazing. As a fan of dark beers that are not sweet, the porter was perfect.

Do you have a baseball cap, a v-neck sweater or winter lodge? Then you'll probably fit right in, at least on a week day night over have Half Barrel! It's tucked way back on Universal Blvd and may just be a little hidden gem! The bartenders were very nice and quick to say hello and welcome us in. My partner loved the beer options and they also have a few wine options for the non-beer drinkers out there.

Half Barrel Beer Project was a great find for a friend and I as we were waiting out some accidents to clear on our way towards Disney. There were people of all sorts here at the time that we visited and our bartender was handling a busy Friday evening with ease. Even in the midst of steady customers, he took the time to chat up everyone sitting at the bar which is always appreciated. Having just finished up at the Beer Spa, my friend and I landed on getting a couple tasters and the large pretzel off the food menu. Everything hit the spot, the pretzel was delicious and buttery, and we were greatly impressed by all the food offerings available. On top of the well-rounded tap list, there are also cans and bottles in the fridge for purchase including wine, seltzers, and non-alcoholic options. I didn't see anything about a corkage fee (as most places where I live have them), so that's a plus. It's great to know that such a chill place exists in the midst of the craziness of I-Drive.

Comfy spot at the bar. Listening to tunes and watching some games.

They are going strong tonight! It's been a couple of years, but I had to make it a point to stop by. A bit loud and crazy due to a wedding party hanging out. I can overlook that as this is a healthy sign they are doing well. Still friendly staff. Still a great selection of Floridian and some of the best out of state breweries on draft and cans. If I'm able, I'll stop by every time I'm in town. From what I can see, I'm jealous of this business model. Keep it up Beer Project!

Delicious Korean wings. Ate most of them before taking the picture.

Stopped in to grab a wide selection of Beers plus the Korean wings. They were amazing. The services is always top notch by the bartenders and atmosphere was busy, but not overly loud. Love this place!

Went there to watch the masters and was welcomed with friendly, helpful, staff who love what they do! Seemed like regulars were hanging out and everyone made us feel just like the gang. We've gone there many times since and have enjoyed their great selection of beer and fun inside! They have some games and you can see some of their brewing tanks from the tables. They've got some TVs which make it a great place to watch sporting events but it's not overwhelming like a sports bar. Casual, friendly vibe

Looking to try local craft brews on I-drive? Look no further than the Half Barrel Beer Project. They have a decent selection of Florida craft brews as well as some of their own brews. The ambiance is your typical brewery with lots of seating and music playing. Service was great, being friendly and helpful. The beer was delicious and they have a small selection of wine for the non beer drinkers as well as some food which we did not order at the time. Over all it was a great experience and would go back for some beers.

Came in on a Thursday before holiday and wow I was surprised. They have food now you order from your table and they bring it to you. We started of sitting in the dog friendly porch but decided to move in. They have games playing and also movies. They have high top tables low tables. They also have more group styles seating with couches and board games. The beer here is priced very well! And they have a super good selection them and ciders as well. I got a blackberry lychee cider 10/10 The food we spent $32 total and we were stuffed. the wings are delicious!!!! Super fun local bar

We initially sat at the outdoor(ish) bar which had a bunch of people there...but no bartender. After 5 minutes or so, we opted to go inside. The inside bar was bit fuller and we spotted the bartender right away. We sat down ordered drinks and viewed the menu. We started off with the pretzel which was good. It was a bit undercooked, but not a dealbreaker. And here's where things got a little interesting. There was a group there who was celebrating a wedding. They were LOUD. Not rude or inappropriate, but just loud. I'm all for having fun, but they were a bit over the top. Through some conversation with the staff, we found out the outdoor bartender came in to make sure the inside bartender was ok given those particular patrons. Solid move on his part for helping out a colleague! The food from here was scattered. My wife's salad came out and was drenched in dressing. Despite the menu saying all dressings on the side, that apparently doesn't apply to the Caesar according to the staff. My wings came much later...much much later. It wasn't a complicated order, so it was a bit surprising. That being said, they were cooked well and seasoned/sauced nicely. It seemed they had a bit of an off day here, so I want to review accordingly.

It sends you text updates, and the technology is actually pretty cool. It can tell when you're not close enough yet and will tell you to check in once you're closer to the restaurant. There were 6 of us in the group, so reserving ahead definitely helped. I actually had to do it twice because we reserved our spot before we left, and by the time we got there, it had timed out. I checked in again, and when we arrived, the host said, "I see you checked in twice." He told us the wait would probably be about 10 minutes, and we ended up waiting less than that before being seated. Considering it's at Icon Park and it was the night of a game, the place was packed with a lot of hustle and bustle. I was impressed that we were seated so quickly, especially with a party of 6. Our waiter, Matt, was amazing, and the food was amazing too. We ordered what felt like almost every appetizer on the menu. We had the Cali Roll Stack, Parmesan truffle fries, crispy Brussels sprouts, spinach dip, and the vegan Gardein wings. The Cali Roll Stack was probably my favorite appetizer. It was so good, and it was made with real crab. Most places use imitation crab, and Matt even told us that's why it's his favorite appetizer too. He was absolutely right. The Gardein wings were surprisingly good. We ordered the Korean chili garlic and Buffalo flavors, and if nobody had told me they were vegan, I probably wouldn't have known. I'd never had a soy-based wing before, but I would definitely order them again. The Parmesan truffle fries were exactly what you want them to be, and the crispy Brussels sprouts disappeared fast. At that point, it seemed like everyone else was tapped out, but somehow we still had room to eat. We ordered the lobster garlic noodles, and they were amazing. They didn't skimp on the lobster either. There were big chunks of real lobster throughout the dish, along with spinach and garlic noodles. Definitely one of my favorite entrées of the night. I also tried the Key Lime Cider, and I liked that they let me sample it before ordering. It ended up being really refreshing and exactly what I was looking for. For dessert, we shared the brownie cookie topped with ice cream. Oh my God. I don't even like chocolate like that, and it was amazing. Yard House has never really disappointed me, but this visit was especially good. I don't know if we were just starving or if the chef was having an exceptional night, but kudos and hats off to the kitchen. Parking was easy too. Levels 3 and 4 of the garage were free, so there was no need to pay or get anything validated. Overall, everything was smooth from start to finish. Great service, great food, easy parking, and a surprisingly short wait despite how busy it was. 10/10, highly recommend.
