I was really looking forward to a quiet slow dinner at the bar, but it was not to be. Came in at the end of shift for the day manager, rushed me through my meal, had the check ready and in front of me less than halfway through the food, made the standard "no rush, but my shift is ending" comment. Our server was extremely attentive. We opted not to order alcohol as we were massively dehydrated but were happy to see our drinks promptly refilled 5 times during our meal. My favorite was the pulled pork tacos though. The Cojita cheese and fresh slaw really kicked them up a notch. I would gladly have these as an entree. But our burgers were so delicious, they would make me think twice. My Bisin Burger was insanely delicious and would put Ted's in real competition. A pretty unassuming spot from the outside but I really enjoyed the food! I came here so hungry, and the burger hit the spot. It was cooked well and a prefect size, with sweet potato waffle fries on the side. My friend enjoyed his burger too and the cheese curds app were good. I also had to bring home a to-go order for someone who would be eating much later that night after work and for what it's worth, they really enjoyed the bang bang shrimp and tacos that I brought them. The place is pretty loud... right after we left, a life band started. I love live music but given how loud it already was and how small the place it (and that we were sitting directly next to the stage), I don't know how enjoyable it would have been. We always enjoy our time when we are here. Today our quest was for a hamburger. We find this location has some of the best hamburgers in town. My husband got the classic hamburger with bacon and cheese and it was cooked perfectly. He also got a side of their sweet potato fries and their sweet potato fries are so good. I went with the true blue hamburger, which is a bacon hamburger with cheese and blue cheese sauce. I opted to go with regular fries and they were cooked perfectly. I started with the Denver old-fashioned and it was OK, but it definitely was not my favorite. There was something about the combo with the bitters that just didn't sit on my pallet well. My husband got the classic whiskey old-fashioned and it was very good. And he finished with a black walnut old-fashioned, which was by far his favorite. One of the things that we love about this location is you can try a huge selection of whiskeys and bourbons. Today we chose to stick with just one and tried the widow Jane Lucky 13. On top of that all they really do here are cheeseburgers and those weren't hardly any good either. Up first I had $16 "The Whiskey" Smoked Denver Old Fashioned it was literally a 1/10. Do not order. My rule always hold true, if the Old Fashioned isn't served with 1 giant ice cube, it's going to be terrible. The second drink I tried was a $14 Shots Fired. It was ok. Wouldn't order either drink again. To eat I had the $14 Happy Hour Small Batch Whiskey Burger. It comes with like literally 20 fries. Look at my pics. The breading for the fried mushrooms was fine but wish the pieces of the mushrooms was bigger so you get more of a burst of mushroom flavor. The burgers were tasty. I was in town for a wedding o 11/8/25, and was looking for a place to kill a couple of hours the night before. I had a fantastic experience and would happily return. I had eaten beforehand, so I cannot speak to the food, but it looked excellent, and everyone around me seemed to enjoy it. The whisk(e)y selection was excellent, and prices were very fair. Even though they were busy, the bar staff was exceptionally friendly, and happy to climb/dig for bottles which were not easily accessible. There was live music, which seemed to be good quality (I had to leave right after they started), the atmosphere and decor were great, and the the other customers were very friendly. Wish I could say I absolutely loved everything, but the inside seating is tight. Think bumper cars, except it's people with drinks and servers weaving through like a choreographed dance. Now, let's talk food--because wow. The garlic Parmesan wings were out-of-this-world. Easily the best garlic Parm sauce I've ever had in my life. Just about anyone can find the libations of their choosing and the mixed selection seems to be lit as well. We had cheese curbs as an app, they were awesome. One thing, you'd think with a top notch kitchen, and all the great whiskey, they'd offer a whiskey-caramel sauce (with just a touch of heat) to accompany them. The Whiskey Cobb was excellent. The chicken was cooked perfectly, not dry at all. Also, I love a good fried egg with my salad...they did it right. The Beet Salad my wife got was wonderfully refreshing. The fried pickles was a large portion! They were crunchy and came with a delicious dipping sauce. The hamburger was perfectly cooked and came with bacon, arugula, and a tomato. The fries were hot and crispy. The price was unbeatable, as the pickles were $4.25 and the burger with fries was $12. My sister got the sweet potato fries and I got the onion rings and unless you're really craving onion rings definitely go with the sweet potato fries. There are so many options for whiskey, bourbons, and all other kinds of alcohol you can imagine. Their menu has a LOT of great cocktails to chose from. Their cocktails set my personal bar for cocktails way too high. Every combination is well balanced and not too sweet. Do not sleep on their burgers. The patties are so juicy and flavorful. We come on weekends and they usually close the kitchen at midnight so it perfect for a late dinner. The staff is very knowledgeable and can recommend you anything based on your preferences.
