I had a fab glass of wine at Kevin's suggestion and then chose the Pistachio pappardelle-adding Scallops. Absolutely amazing. The pasta was incredibly fresh, sauce light and rich( yes this is possible!) and the scallops were perfectly grilled. All in all, a 10/10 dinner. Overall great dinning experience. But I had the privilege to meet David. If a bad restaurant had a server like him they would not have to worry about the food. He is a delight. Great personality and knowledgeable of what the restaurant offers. Made great recommendations and is super personable without intruding. Located inside the Hilton Orlando, this spacious restaurant has modern Italian vibes. Large windows let in natural light. We had a large party with 2 tables of 8. Our reservation was for 7:30, we were seated immediately as we arrived and drinks orders were taken followed by entrees. However, our food didn't come out until after 9pm. For mainly pasta dishes the delay to service seemed excessive. The food was quite good though. Had a small casual business dinner last night at Trabucco and was wowed by everything, from the service to the food. We sat at the bar and Kevin took amazing care of us. His menu and drink knowledge was outstanding and provided amazing recommendations. The atmosphere was loud - again, we sat at the bar and there was no break between the hotel lobby bar, which made for slightly difficult conversation. The Zappa Del Mar was outstanding and the filet was cooked perfectly but lacked much depth of flavor - it could have been seasoned a little heavier. We dined here while staying at the Hilton. The caesar dressing with anchovy dressing is not to be taken lightly. It was a bit too fishy for us. The calamari was okay, but could use a little more seasoning. The rigatoni bolognese was very good and so was the paccheri alla vodka. For dessert, we enjoyed the burnt butter caramel cake for dessert. The service was great and attentive and the restaurant had a very nice atmosphere that you don't often find in a hotel. read more

We had a reservation for 3 people as soon as they opened. We arrived 5 mins early and were told to sit out front by the bar. Once they opened the hostess simply walked passed us. She also seated several people who showed up after. After getting her attention to explain we have been waiting, was when we were seated. Our server was quite pleasant. However, her service was rather slow. We thought maybe she had a lot of tables, but that was not the case. I believe she just was just forgetful and couldn't manage what was assigned. She made great suggestions though. The bread was on request and an additional charge, which is odd. This was a nice restaurant for my pre birthday. I went with my parents and checked in at 7. After a 5 minute wait, we were seated to a nice table. We didn't order drinks, and went directly to the main plates. I took the seafood manicotti (28 dollars), which had 3 tubes of pasta with minced shrimp, lobster, and scallops. I was hoping that there would be bigger chunks of seafood, but it was flavorful enough, especially with the creamy lobster sauce. The portions were quite small, but still satisfying for me. My mom took the pasta Alfredo with tomato sauce (30 dollars). The pasta could have been softer, but still enjoyable with the sauces provided as well. I also tried my dad's salmon (36 dollars). It was soft and fresh enough. We had to do dessert for my birthday, so I took the tiramisu (12 dollars), and my parents took the pistachio gelato and pomegranate sorbet (10 dollars each). The tiramisu was moist and enjoyable, especially with the rum flavor. The ice cream and sorbet could have used more flavor, but still acceptable. What was surprising was the dessert portions were bigger than the main plates. The service was a little slow because it was quite busy, but still nice and friendly. They comped us the gelato and sorbet for my birthday, which was a nice gesture. The atmosphere was quite crowded and sociable. It wasn't loud, but talkative atmosphere. It's a bit more upscale since it is at the Hilton. I am happy we chose this restaurant for my pre birthday this year. Definitely much better than that Mexican restaurant i went near UCF last year. It's quite expensive and the portions were small for the main plates. At least parking is validated and you can use the valet. This is located at the Hilton in international drive, so definitely expect crowd and traffic. At least it at the main entrance at the Hilton, at you can easily find and walk to it. I recently visited Trabucco with Co-Workers for dinner during an industry event held at the Hilton. In my opinion, hotel restaurants tend to be underwhelming. However, I was impressed with Trabucco. I started with the Filet Carpaccio as an appetizer. The flavorful cured meat melted in your mouth and was topped with rich earthy black truffle, briny capers, and a creamy aioli. So not worth the price tag. I ordered the salmon expecting it to be worth the $40 price tag and was disappointed. Some bites were dry or lacked flavor. It was only really enjoyable if you made sure it had the sauce on it. And the portion sizes are so small. I don't really understand why it's so expensive, I'm paying for food that's not well portioned or that good. And the bread basket was $10 for bread that kind of tasted like cheap store bought sourdough bread cut up and thrown in a basket. However, the servers were very nice and super attentive and I appreciated that. The inside is nice and gives the illusion you're in a nice restaurant. read more

I came here on my final night staying at the Hilton Orlando on I-Drive for a conference. It was definitely busy on a Friday night. Word to the wise if you're there during conference season you probably want to make a reservation. I did not have one so my colleague and I ended up in the waiting area but Bella graciously agreed to still serve us there. I had the seafood manicotti and it was OK and definitely a small portion for $30. A woman who also ordered it remarked that she was still hungry after she finished her entrée. Luckily for me I also had someone willing to share their flatbread which was quite tasty and we rounded out the night with two desserts the Nutella bomboloni and the burnt butter caramel cake. The bomboloni was the crowd favorite. I can't remark too much about the ambiance although it definitely gave fine-dining Italian. I will say that even sitting in the waiting area I felt like I could have a great conversation with my dinner partner, and did not feel like the lobby commotion interfered. read more

Just had a wonderful experience at the Trabucco restaurant at the Hilton in Orlando, Fl. While I was not expecting it at a resort restaurant, I couldn't have been more wrong. The food was exceptional and not just by hotel restaurant standards, but objectively excellent. The service by Jackie was wonderful. She gave me interesting information about the wine and talked up every dish we ordered. We ordered with confidence and anticipation. She even told me if I was disappointed in my entree (which I definitely wasn't) to let her know and she would bring me something else. The food was "hot off the press". I couldn't have expected a better meal from my Italian grandmother and grandma never gave me this kind of service. From appetizers through deserts, nothing disappointed. 3.5 stars We had a pretty solid dinner here during a conference that was at the Hilton Orlando. No reservations, party of 7 walking in and they pleasantly surprised us with a table in their wine room! Our waiter was great considering it was a busy night with many other conference attendees (there were not many options to eat nearby). For drinks we all shared a couple bottles of the Rombauer Chardonnay which I really enjoyed (very buttery if you like chards like that). I was educated by a coworker that it's known as "cougar juice." No idea why. Anyways for food, we shared 2 salads (insulata mista and insalata di trubucco). They were both delicious with the former having pears and Gorgonzola, and the latter like a Caesar salad. We also shared a fritto misto in saor which was fried calamari and fried shrimp over a sweet and sour-esque onions and raisins. It was interesting...I didn't hate it nor love it. For my entree I had the brodetto di pesce which the waiter described as similar to a SF cioppino but it was over saffron risotto (so not as soupy). It was very flavorful...tomato broth was on point with a good amount of seafood and the risotto was filling. All in all, if stuck at this hotel again I would come back. Loved our waiter who was clearly putting the effort in getting our food, replenishing our bread basket and refilling our waters despite the restaurant being busy. read more

Very very mediocre experience. Calamari came out and found a hair in first piece. Calamari was rubbery and definitely not fresh. Also ordered bread basket which was not warm bed and somewhat stale. Definitely not fresh and worthy of what this restaurant attempts to frame itself as. Ordered some pasta dishes and filets to eat family style. Pasta was cold and somewhat bland. Steaks were acceptable, slightly salty but not what I would compare to a similarly priced option from my local options in Fort Lauderdale. Service was very subpar and several times wish we could have engaged the server who was no where to be found. Check was close to $300 with tip and none of our kids or my wife was full and food was very mediocre. I realize South Florida has an exceptional culinary scene, but this was not worth the price tag by any means. Honestly as someone who doesn't tends to go to chain restaurants, I wish we had gone to Chilis saved the money and got what we know we could have expected. Madison and Kevin provided us great customer service and we enjoyed shooting the breeze and talking all things with them ranging from food to life goals. Stacy is probably the sweetest server I have ever met. She wanted to make sure my thirst was well quenched even though I'm not a drinker. She went as far as requesting a virgin version for me since each course was accompanied with a cocktail. At the time the bartenders were too busy. But the offer alone was heartwarming. To make matters better, Madison who had made me a virgin mint spritzer during the cocktail half hour, passed by with the course's cocktail and remembered me. She told me she would be back in a moment. She came back with my own non-alcoholic Peachy Mocktail. I felt so important, though I'm not. The atmosphere is perfect. And the food is excellent. The seared grouper atop pesto bagna couda is unforgettable. And the frito misto is uniquely delicious. And the limoncello was surprisingly so tasty. The dinner my colleague and I had at Trabucco was one of the top ten meals I've enjoyed anywhere in the world. From the initial greeting to our waiter/bartender Kevin and his partner, Hannah our experience was exceptional. The food was equally excellent. I've been lucky to eat at some of the finest restaurants in the world and across the board each appetizer (the octopus!), entree, (the pork chop), the sides and the dessert (burnt butter cake) were blazingly good. The best part of the experience, again, was how well Kevin took care of us. He knows his stuff and you can tell he has joy in his work because he elevated an already spectacular dining experience.
