Instead, he took drink orders from everyone else in our section, then took food orders from them. So about 35 minutes after being seated, we got drinks and menus. I was told they were out of the Scotch I ordered, so I said cancel it. We figured we had better put our food orders in. So about 20 diners, who were seated much later than we were, had drinks, ate their entire dinners, and paid their checks by the time our food came. Read on to see how I know this. I kept asking the server how much longer, he kept putting me off. Said soon. Got the food, ate, got the bill. Server didn't remove the Scotch from my bill! Had him reverse it, paid and left.
