This place is a complete local dive. If that's not your scene, you have been warned. I went on a Monday at 6pm. It was lively, but there were plenty of places to sit. For me the jukebox was being played a little too loud but this is complete preference. We got fantastic service from the bartender. I only had a $3.50 draft, great deal in Orlando, but it was cold and fresh. There is pool and darts, plus lots of outside seating. I keep seeing this being referred to as a "dive bar" and it's not what I expected. The place was clean with a fantastic collection of bottle and draft beers. They have a great selection of spirits too from favored vodka's etc. They were pretty busy for a Wednesday night but bartenders were friendly and did a good job of getting our drinks despite a healthy crowd. They have a few TV's for watching sports and a pool table. I don't know what more you could want in a little local bar. Good times to be had here! We popped in here after a weekend brunch nearby and played some pool and darts while having adult beverages. Dropped in Saturday to catch the tail end of some College football games. The location had plenty of TVs to watch and more importantly, a coveted seat at the bar. Okay, so let's talk about Burton's. It is one of my absolute favorite sports/dive bars in the Thornton Park district. Nothing truly special about it, but it is solid as far as a place to get a good variety of reasonably priced craft beer and spirits. It has both inside and outside seating, a full bar, pool tables and Darts. A great place for groups or to watch a college game or sporting events. This is a local bar that has a great selection for a variety of people. The decor is pretty basic, but there are TVs and pool tables with lots of seating inside and a few tables outside. I did see some dogs outside so they are dog friendly as well. I was looking for a flavored vodka and cranberry drink and they had quite a few options for a "dive" bar. Burton's is a neighborhood dive bar, as many have mentioned, in the Thornton Park neighborhood. They have a few tables outside and a small TV on the wall. On the side of the building are two murals. I was happy to see one of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Inside is a little dark and divided in two sections with the bar separating the two sides. As you enter you are on the bar side where there are some high-top tables. On the opposite side are arcade games, pool tables and more seating. They have a decent selection of beer on tap and in bottles and cans. The staff were nice enough. I really did not interact much with them and sat outside. They do not serve food, but next door is the Mason Jar Provisions scratch kitchen where you can order food and they will bring it to you at the bar. You may want to order food first, then go to the bar and get your drink and seat. read more

Bartender was narcissistic and gaslighting against my service dog. I had his vest off when walking in the door stating that he was hot but a service animal...I came to meet with the locals from district dive playing pool and cava from eat 25 wings and watching the game with no issues (meeting with the same people from both establishments) the bartender (within 1 minute of walking in the door) yelled he needed to be outside until I stated he was a service dog and showed his vest . He then became aggravated and threatened me that I needed to go since the dog had rights to stay. When I questioned the incident since I had only been in the establishment for less then 5 minutes he stated I was rude for questioning him and I had to leave but my service dog could stay so when I asked him to state that when I recorded his behavior the female bartender state to call it a night cause he's an asshole.. I asked why would I allow him to be disrespectful towards me and my service animal being new to the area??? I would never recommend this establishment to anyone .. it's a low life discriminatory social bar.. I normally have nothing negative to say about business but by far the worst place I've been to in Orlando.. the contradiction between service dogs to immediately own for personal superiority complex issues is bad for business!!!! read more

Occasionally, with no rhyme or reason to when this happens my song is skipped shortly after it starts. My song while explicit, is no more so than a lot of other songs that play throughout the night. Came here because we were wandering around Downtown one day after work. The drinks are strong & cheap, but the service is a little slow. Expect stand there and wait when you need to order, and an even longer wait when you're trying to close out your tab. There are 2 pool tables which are pretty decent. The games are $1.00 each. My husband told me the bartender even made a comment on how I had brought something for my dog to lay on... it's freezing on the floor, right now it's 50 degrees in Orlando. We had been in this same establishment with our service dog less then a week prior with no problem so I'm not sure why this bartender had such an issue. This fun spot is a great hangout. It has pool tables, foosball, darts, and a bunch of other games. There's also free popcorn! It's open and fairly spacious on the interior. The decor is kind of minimal and dive-ish, but not uncomfortable. It's also dog friendly and has a decent sized outdoor patio. The only downside is that they only serve beer and wine. My husband and I came here with another couple on a Thursday night. We'd just finished the Thornton Park Wine Walk, so there were a decent amount of people out and about. The bar was crowded, but not packed. We meandered around for a minute, surveying the game options, before deciding to play foosball. It was $1 per play and turned out to be pretty fun. We considered playing pool, but both the tables had lines, and we weren't that dedicated. Instead we took a popcorn break. After the popcorn, we decided to play darts (this also requires dollar bills). The dart board is electric, and it has a bunch of different settings and allows you to play different dart games. The game we played required you to hit certain numbers on the board to get points. I have no idea how to actually play darts, so I appreciated that the machine provided clear rules. The darts have real metal tips, so be cautious. The dart board is right by a table tucked into the wall, and it didn't seem very safe sitting on the side closest to the board. By the second round, we had all evacuated to the other side of the table. However, it was still fun and everyone enjoyed themselves. As we'd just finished the Wine Walk, none of us actually got anything to drink. However, I saw a bunch of people getting pitchers to share, so I think that's the norm. I generally wouldn't return to a bar that didn't serve actual alcohol, but this place was fun and reminded me how much I enjoyed arcade games. I came here meeting up a couple of my friends one night. The bar has TVs all around with pool tables, dart boards, a Touchtune jukebox, and booths to sit down in. It was a bit warm inside, that I had to step outside at one point of the night. The staff was wonderful and they remember your name and order. Very attentive. My embarrassing moment of the night was when I was looking for the women's bathroom. I looked saw this door and looked around the door for some sort of Women's Restroom symbol or some sort of placard. Didn't see one so I assumed it was a unisex restroom. I walk in and see a urinal, and then see a stall with an actual toilet. All of a sudden, the female bartender walks in and asks me, "Do you want to use the women's bathroom?" Embarrassed, I yelled "YES PLEASE!!!" and she directed me to the correct area. I'm so glad that she did. So a heads up, the men's restroom is not labeled! From what I (didn't) see at least. LOL. Really nice dive type bar. I say that in the traditional sense. It was pretty busy still at around 12 nice crowd, good music (they were playing Cameo). The place is noticeably noisy as it should be, quiet bars aren't good places to be. I'm only withholding my last star until I return.
