Good selection of beer. We did not order food. Came in on a weekend, and they always had the locals playing some games, some trivia, and if you make it on a Friday night, they usually have music. It's a hip place with a good vibe. Bartenders, friendly and engaging.

Had a great time at The Falcon, a local and cozy space in Thornton Park's downtown Orlando. They had a deejay spinning some old school house this night and apparently have different themed parties throughout the week. There isn't a dress code, but we were celebrating the holidays and it was New Year's Eve so we broke out some threads and were hitting our favorite loval places to share the love.

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for one of the pop up flea market events. They were set up outside of the falcon. There was about maybe 5 vendors. We went inside to check out the place and have a drink. $3 bloody Mary's on sundays. Not sure if Sunday only. The bartender was pretty cool and chatty. We also go 2 free sake shots with purchase of drink. That was awesome. Seems like a nice hipster place to hang out.

You all know I am a huge fan of Mother Falcon so you know I have to love me their newest adventure: The Falcon! What do I love about Melissa and John? They get it. They get all of it. They opened their t-shirt shop to garner attention to a local community and took it above and beyond with all the local art support they are continually giving. They are heavily involved with Thornton Park as a whole and you can really feel the love they have for this city in their businesses. So, their new addition, which is right next to Mother Falcon is - The Falcon Bar & Gallery, an independent and cutting edge experience in the arts in a gallery and bar setting. Yes, the first room is set up for a gallery event and spots for entertainment and DJs. Then the bar area is your spot to sit back and relax with some wine or craft beers... and cider! This place is awesome, extremely chill and has some dope art. You must stop in and check it out. The only downside I experienced was 1 bathroom so there was a bit of a wait, but I just drank while I waited =) I am pretty sure this is going to be my go-to stop when I need to chill or grab a nice cold one and want to meet some really cool people. It's open so go check it out!!!

Mimosas on a Sunday afternoon... with GOLDFISH! :)

I like this place! Went for the first time Sunday afternoon for some mimosas. It wasn't busy at all but I can imagine it gets busy being in Thornton Park on other nights. It's really dark, but I love the atmosphere. There's a lot of seating - bar and couches and stuff. You can even sit outside if you'd like. I hear it's dog friendly too...? I didn't bring a dog so I'm not sure but that would make it even better. The only drinks I had were mimosas (hard to mess up) and a Bloody Mary - it was my first time having one ever, and honestly if they're supposed to taste like cold tomato soup and celery, it wasn't too bad. I never expected myself to be a savory drink person, but maybe just maybe. The bartender was really nice and tentative and answered all of our questions, no matter how silly (referring to the Bloody Mary). She was super sweet. I wish I remembered her name! We were also served goldfish. Yes. Goldfish crackers. Winning. I'll be back. For sure.

What a great place to catch a drink with friends and have a good time. So I came here for a popular event, which is called the "Drunk Spelling Bee." It was great to witness people trying to spell and drink at the same time. They have a bunch of cool art work splattered everywhere. They also have a lovely photo booth located in the back of the bar. This place literally screams out awesome vibes.

Hachi-machi this is such a great bar .they have analog dating . so if you're date went bad you can get a great beer . Also they have awesome events like cage fest . Celebrating everyone's favorite film star Nicolas Cage .

Enjoying a Sunday Funday at the Falcon! $3 mimosas, always cool new art and fun events going on!

The best part about the Falcon is that there's always something to do and see here. The art is rotating and top notch local artists, you're bound to love it every time. There's only two Tvs so not too distracting, casual indie rock during the day, more lively in the evening. The craft beer and wine menu is always on point with a free sake shot with every drink order, who doesn't love that? Today they had the Bully Up Rescue with adorable dogs to play with, cuddle and even adopt if it's right for you! This made our day even better, a mimosa and sweet pup to pet. The dress is very however you are, you're welcome. It's the last spot (next to Truck Stop) so it could easily be the first or last stop on your way around the Thornton Park bar crawl so either way there's no reason to pass by on your night or weekend day out!

So happy they are now serving Austin's coffee in the morning! Been going to Austin's for a little while now and this location is right around the corner from me! Will defiantly be back !

The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. Anyways, Noir Bar is GREAT (to me)! I will keep coming here and recommending it to others. It's also great for a date night or night out with your friends. It's in a decent location - but please take heed of parking in this area, as it can be challenging to find FREE street parking. However, there is parking available all around and in various garages nearby.

The vibe here is dark, intimate, and gives off a chic city nightlife feel. They offer both a full cocktail menu and a happy hour menu. They also offer a Thai tapas menu, which we unfortunately didn't get to try because we were already stuffed from dinner at Talay, but the menu looked amazing and gives us another reason to come back! The drinks are unique, creative, and very well crafted. We ordered the Celestial Bloom, and it was absolutely delicious! It was beautifully balanced and left us wanting to come back just to try more of their cocktails. Definitely a great spot for drinks before or after dinner!

I was given a menu that highlighted some of their rotating seasonal drinks. I was surprised to see drink prices at $15 & $16. Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. With the way he approached us and was completely impatient, we were a little turned off and left. Which lost them money on our entire group. He followed us out the door as we left. Our reservation was at 7pm and we didn't get seated until almost 7:30pm. The place itself isn't very big, it's cozy, cute and I liked the vibes but when the other couple we were meeting with showed up it did feel a little crowded by the host stand. The host was nice enough to give us a menu to browse while we waited and someone came to ask us what drink we would like to sip on (i really thought they were offering us a free drink for the wait, but later saw we were charged for them, no biggie but would have been nice considering we waited so long) Drinks were all so so good! No complaints there. We started with the smoked fish dip and ceviche which was different than your typical one, but refreshing! I had the skirt steak - it was flavorful but definitely heavy on the salt. I still really enjoyed it as well as the rice & beans. Hubby got the ropa veija which he enjoyed. Our friend got the osso buco which he liked, but said the chicharron was not good at all. We then had some pastelitos for dessert! They added a 18% gratuity to the check, which was fine and I appreciated them telling us as well as circling it. Overall I think it was really good but nothing out of the world, you can find similar food for much less at your other local Cuban spots - what sets the place apart is the drinks and vibes so if you're looking for the whole experience then it's your place.
