Been here for the 3rd time in the last 2 years more or less. Cool spot and all. Got there and was frisked by security and then entered and was looking at this girl that was getting ready to charge me at the door. Basically, they didn't have all their things together, so they just allowed me and my friend in. Because what makes it even worse, is that the event was free up until a certain time and we got there about 10 minutes before that time period. So i would be upset if I had to pay. However, it's a really nice place, lots of space and a nice vibe. I decided to order food this time around and I'm glad I did. I got the chicken, wings and fries. Lemon olbay rub and it was delicious. I think chicken wings and fries all together cost me about $40. A bit too much, and they definitely put tax/gratuity on just about anything you order so expect an extra 3 to 4 dollars just from there gratuity that their taking off. Outside of that, I do like this place for a little party, club vibes. So I'll be back as usual. read more

I had a good time. There was a $15 cover to get in last night. The bartenders were friendly & attentive. The drinks were reasonable especially for it being downtown Orlando. The DJ was on point. It's a nice space with plenty of seating. They also have hookah if that's your vibe. I don't believe they serve food. The bathrooms were clean. Had a great time for my friends listening party that was hosted here! Great drinks and great music/sound system. I enjoyed the fantasy island drink the most but most drinks were a little juicy. The tequila pineapple was really good and they have a lot of top shelf liquors! The bar is nice and lit up with a few big screens above. I like that there is two sides as well. For those who want to be away from the stage, they have a nice barrier between them and the loud music. Also great CLEAN BATHROOMS! I can't stand walking into a dirty bathroom or it has sticky floors or a weird smell lol. This one was clean and has a nice mirror for pics! It would be better if it was just a little bigger. Thursday nights are ladies night, I went in around 8:30-9. I went in and sat at the bar were I was promptly greeted. I asked if they had any drink specials and was told they had free shots for ladies until midnight so I grabbed 2 shots of well tequila. Also ordered a hookah which was really good (orange flavoring). Everyone at the bar area was really sweet & helpful. Sergio & Audrey did a great job managing the bar area, making drinks, etc. I did walk over to the restaurant side and order some of the Asian sauce wings and they were perfection! Everyone I've met that's been to the restaurant raves about the food so I'll have to come back and give it an honest try. Overall it was a great experience, I plan to go back soon. read more

My boyfriend and I looked up hookah bars in the Orlando area and stumbled across this gem. Everything was perfect we ordered the Bahamas hookah mixed with mint and it was extremely smooth and flavorful. Our bartender Jason was amazing. He asked us what we wanted to drink and made it perfect with his own twist. We ordered lemon pepper wings and mango wings from the spot connected to it and they allowed us to eat it there. My fiancé and I use to visit this place when we were in the area and loved it. However we stopped by last night and was very very very disappointed. we loved the new layout but the customer service was piss poor. in order to sit down you have to buy a table for 40 dollars and you have to buy a bottle. we just wanted to relax ,watch the game and listen to music. We couldn't even do hookah because who wants to do hookah standing up?? After staying about 45mins because I had to stand the entire time with heels on, I had a very good conversation with a nice gentleman guarding the door. He explained how it's not the club itself it's the promotion of the club that charges these prices. Unfortunately you will lose many customers and just lost 2 because of this mindset. This establishment use to be where grown and sexy ppl would frequent but now I didn't get that vibe at all. please do better. read more

Very kool vibes and the DJ is nice. The disappointment comes more from the culture of urban nightlife. First $25 to sit at a table even though we clearly ordered a $50 hookah and $40 bottle of wine is a bit much. However, the wine tasted so terrible for Moscato, I google imaged the bottle and it was $4.99 and on sale for $2.99 online. It tasted and smelled like Apple Cider Vinegar. Make ur money but at least get a $8 bottle of Barefoot so your customers can enjoy what they pay for. Demi- Sec Moscato should not be sold as a sweet wine because it isn't. If looking to pass time like we were after a Magic game or to find a good hookah and bar service, this place will not disappoint. Just be mindful of the dumb business antics these clubs use on the young crowds before you feed into the hype. read more

Went with my sister two nights ago for Nightshade's "ladies night" event got there around 8:30 p.m. I've smoked hookah for probably the better part of 15 years & I've hosted many parties serving drinks & several varieties of hookah. Never have I ever in my life had a slimy taste in my mouth after smoking any hookah. The hookah was served cold and I'm pretty sure the hookah was served dirty ...definitely a hazard. Most establishments we've gone to from New York to Florida, take care in heating the hookahs up before they serve them to their customers. My sister and I notified the server and she just said okay and walked away. We literally were smoking the coals on a cold hookah, while they continued to sell them to people whom most likely didn't know any better. I informed the hostess, but she confirmed that they recently cleaned them and tried to negotiate with me that it was probably the type of shisha SMH! Emphasis on "probably". I told her that I have the same kind of hookah flavor at home and that I actually own a larger hookah at home and it never tastes like this EVER. And that's just the start. Upon arrival, I was met with nasty stares and just bad customer service. It was hard to differentiate the customers from the people that were actually working there nobody was wearing a proper uniform . At one point, before we decided to leave, one of the servers arrived and took a shot behind the bar. Drink prices are extremely high for a very limited selection. But we decided to stay because drinks were free until 11:00 and we hadn't had the negative experience with the hookah yet. My sister and I didn't feel comfortable indulging in any drinks at this establishment after our experience with the hookah. Both of our throats were extremely sore shortly after trying it and over the next coupleof days. It's a shame because I love to support a black owned, black run situation of any kind. This was appalling and gross. From the location to the music, there's a lot of potential here. The place is cosmetically beautiful and the music was on point, it's really unfortunate. I hope that my review is helpful criticism that will help Nightshade get it together. I will be more than willing to talk to the owner to answer any questions but I will not be returning to the establishment in it's current state. read more

Yesterday night at 10:30pm my boyfriend and I decided to have date night at Night Shade Lounge. We paid $10 per person via eventbrite for admission into the lounge just to be told that there was no "free" seating besides the bar to be able to buy hookah when we arrived. The bar was at capacity with only about 5 people sitting at the bar who from what I saw were not doing hookah. I inquired about sitting in the perimeter areas to do hookah. They declined as this was for "VIP". There were only two people, TWO people doing hookah in the perimeter area (VIP). The establishment was practically empty but they declined our seating because we refused to pay for VIP pricing just to sit in the perimeter area to do hookah. We ended up leaving because we could not be accommodated. I do understand that this is a business but I personally think that is ridiculous. The lounge seems to be good for large groups who want to be accommodated with bottle service. Overall the venue and music was nice. read more

While visiting orlando, we stumbled in when it was so slow and Jason took such good care of us even when they picked up. He made us the best drinks and was so nice! The drinks were amazing we came back the following night to see him again. I would first like to start by saying the atmosphere of this place was absolutely amazing from the minute my friend and I came in. The bartender Jason immediately greeted us with warm and friendly vibes. Upon my friend and I sitting down, Jason went out of his way to cater to us as well as making us some of the most delicious drinks we have ever had. Shortly after we arrived we were greeted by another bartender by the name of Mya who quickly put smiles on our faces with her contagious laughter. She was not our bartender but she still made sure to check on us and made sure we we're enjoying ourselves. I 100% recommend this place!! read more
