A super chill and safe spot. The bartenders are attentive and friendly, answering questions and offering recommendations. Kava is a nice body high that feels relaxing. There are a few THC and CBD drinks that have hints of a stronger kick, that can be a bit heady if you are looking for more. Kratom isn't my favorite, but I'll take a free shot if it's on the house. Overall, I would recommend Kava blended into one of the mock tails. The ambiance is super vibey. I love the artwork and mural wall. There's a pool table if you want to play, but a lot of us post up at the bar during the day and get some work done. Whatever you're looking for, just make sure it's chill! read more

I've been coming here for just under 2 years. One of the things that attracted me to this establishment, was the ease off/on I-4 and proximity of the projects I was managing. The ambiance is good for casual meetups (2 or 3 people, comfortably), the music isn't overbearing, so work can still be done and calls can be taken. We walked into the kava bar and were surprised to see an actual bar, pool table (billiards ) with plenty of wall art (all for sale by the way). We were explained the entire menu and made our decisions i chose the "Hades Hex" and he chose the "Humble Horchata." After a few short sips I realized I didn't like it. When the barista returned to ask how we liked it I humbly told her it was fine, just the flavor was not for me, without hesitation she asked if I wanted to try something new. Favorite Kava bar in Orlando, the feeling here is so welcoming. All the bartenders are girls and they are all super kind, you can tell they enjoy what they do. The art on the walls are super vibrant and add a huge part to the character of this place. All the art is sourced from local artists and are all up for sale. It's connected to Fast Eddie's Smoke shop so you can walk over through a little side door. They have a pool table and wide variety of board and card games. Their mocktails are super yummy and definitely help cover the earthy taste of a kava and Kratom, stay tuned to their Insta to see what seasonal shots they have. Right now they have Pumpkin spice Kava shots and Apple pie Kratom shots.... Yum! If you're looking for live music, they have a musician every other Thursday. Sodo Kava is really nice and is perhaps my favorite Kratom\Kava lounge in the area. Read this review to the end though! They have a great aesthetic, the quality of their products are top notch, and the staff is absolutely wonderful. Their pool table is beautiful and well taken care of. They even have a pool tournament every Monday. There's plenty of seating and space. However, if you need to use a laptop or other device, just know that there's only 2 plug outlets accessible to you, if they're not already in use. In addition, the Wi-Fi is straight up unusable. Of course, you'll see guests using their laptops. They're either using a mobile hotspot of their own, or they're dealing with the Wi-Fi the lounge has to offer; which is actually the smoke shop's connection. Maybe you thought I was exaggerating when I said "unusable." The connection maxes out at 1mbps. Typically, it's 0.49mbps. I typed it right, and you read it right. Less than 1mbps. No, I did not mean to type 1gbps. They're usually busy, and if they're doing things correctly, the markup on the Kratom and kava allows for a pretty fair ROI. I think it's safe to say that the owner(s) don't see this as a priority. A few phone calls later, they could have a 1gbps connection set up for less than $300 with custom equipment. Using the ISP's equipment, they could be set up for less than $75 a month. I would be very upset if I were one of their bartenders, because they really are losing tip money from guests who would stay longer to get work done on their devices. If the owner responds to this review and explains that it's impossible for whatever reason to offer a better connection, I will modify the review of course. This shouldn't dissuade anyone from coming to Sodo Kava if they don't need to use a device with Wi-Fi. EVERYTHING ELSE is perfect at this lounge and I cannot stress enough that the staff is awesome and very friendly. read more

WOW! Super impressed with this place. First things first - the kava & kratom kombucha choices are incredible! They have a ton of "mocktail" options - the Margarita was delicious! Dez is the best! Secondly, the bar tenders are all fantastic! I believe Hunter was helping us & he answered all of my *many* questions to help us pick the right drinks for us. What a great and welcoming kava spot! We stopped by and enjoyed a number of their mocktails. I really enjoyed Just Peachy, and Hades Hex, both with the botanical mix. They were refreshing and perfectly sweet - not too sweet, but just perfect. The bartender Destiny was so kind and helpful, she made the place feel welcoming.
