This place is such a vibe. My husband and I came on a date night just for a couple drinks after dinner. We hate going downtown but we came just to try this place. They had live jazz playing which set the perfect mood. The drinks were delicious and the service was very informative. We will definitely be back soon!

I really like Chronic Guru... especially the concept. They have cannabis and cannabis infused cocktails as well as infused beer. The space is great for groups, and looks like a fun happy hour spot. They have a bar, lounge chairs, sofas and high tops. On 2 occasions I was their, they had live music. But... you can't hear the music from the outside. They should put a speaker on the outside to drive in more business. The servers explain everything to you. You purchase gummies at the register towards the front and flower or infused drinks at the bar. So I got an infused non alcoholic Guinness stout. They offered me 5, 10 or 60 milligrams. I took a double take. 5, 10 or 60? Ummm... crawl, walk or blast off. I chose the 5 to be safe and also because I had a whole night ahead of me. What a great time I had here. When I am in downtown Orlando I will return. Not a big weed person, but it is a chill spot and a good time.

My friend and I made our way back to chronic guru after the magic game. AGAIN. This place is great! The drinks and the service is unmatched! The staff is super friendly when asking questions and for suggestions. We will always find our way here when in Orlando!

The vibes here are giving prohibition -- we stopped in after a concert & it was a pretty intimate experience. We tried two cocktails, the summer sipper & garden spritz (names are probably wrong lol!) but they were really delicious and balanced cocktails. We opted for 10mg and it was a pretty chill experience. We felt really relaxed and great! The service was also really friendly and informative!

Totally NOT a dispensary. I do have a medical card but prefer the experience at Chronic Guru. They don't have alcohol with some exceptions. They have a non alcoholic fancy drink menu. The drinks can have MGs of cbd/thc added in liquid form. They also have several types of infused edibles up to 600 mg. Teas, lemonades and other drinks. Gummies as well. They have a farm in Apopka where they grow their own flower. A wide selection is available at the Lounges. The vibe in both the Sanford and downtown locations is what should be expected. They have games and Open Mic nights. They have Bingo and many other cool events. Prices are what would be expected. They do not have food but you can bring your own. The service has ALWAYS been awesome. Some of the friendliest people around. So skip the big dispensaries and go to any of their lounges. Help support a local family owned business and see the future of cannabis

Stage view from one of the up-front tables right before the first comedian almost made my mom cry by making fun of her disabilities.

Good product availability but lacking inclusivity to a disgusting level. LGBTQ+ and disabled potential patrons beware. There was an amateur comedy show at the DTO location. We knew we wanted to go to the bar before finding out about the show so it seemed like a win-win. Get high, enjoy hilarious or hilariously bad comedy, right? Wrong. While some of the comedy was hilarious and some was hilariously bad, the MC and staff did not intervene when the acts were severely punching down. My mom came with me and is very disabled from a major stroke. She walks with a limp and has a paralyzed arm. The first act was there early and saw her walking around. I mention all this because halfway through his flop set, he started talking about "his mom" being disabled and wondering why his dad would ever make love with her. He then began copying my mom's physical mannerisms while saying his dad must have been a horndog in order to ever consider her. My mom was on the verge of tears. She wanted to stay and we did so just to see the other acts and try to redeem the night. The night was ruined, tbh. We love dark and weird comedy but punching down is NEVER the answer. Each comedian was trying to harass patrons so much that the house cleared out within 30 min. The jokes were transphobic, homophobic, misogynist, and racist against non-white minorities. The only folks left were newer walk-ins and the line of comedians. It's a shame because as the night went on, the comedy did get better, and those guys deserved exposure. We left after the redhead's fantastic set and I'm disappointed I didn't get his name because he's a winner. Amateur comedians always have a risk of being out of pocket like this, so it's the MC/staff's job to throw them off the stage when they go too far. Standards need to be established before more comedians go on stage. I sent them an email about this the same night and have not heard back for several nights since. I wouldn't have posted this if they had just apologized or put up a statement somewhere. Clearly they must want Joe Rogan's "comedy is illegal" type of clientele, so I'm merely helping them get those kind of people and keeping us "disgusting" disabled and LGBTQ+ folk away. ;) I'll take this (and my incoming other reviews) down only if I see an apology and acknowledgement that they messed up big time.

I'm not sure what's going on here but I'm here for it. They sell all kinds of stuff if you know what I'm talking about, I tried the coffee cocktails (I don't remember the names) with 15 mg and I was chilling. They had a performance going on by a singer named Anique Jolee (loved) when I went on a Friday night. The space is really big and they have a stage, this would be a good event venue. There is plenty of seating-- a bar, tables with comfy chairs and long couches with tables and games you can play while you're there. Service was excellent . I will definitely be back.

I could see lots of people bringing dates here. First up, I tried a $17 Tree of Life. The drink the bartender made me was maybe 2 sips. There's a giant ice cube and a bamboo leaf or something and very little drink to drink. Not sure what to make of this because as soon as I was deciding if I liked it or not, it was gone. Wouldn't order this again. Second, I tried a $17 Adam & Eve. I wish the matcha was much stronger. There's a place in Tampa called Tori Bar that has a super duper matcha tasting cocktail. This one was much lighter. It was fine, not my favorite. Maybe I'd bring a date here sometime, but wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

Went to celebrate a birthday and the service was surprisingly quick for how busy they were on a Friday evening, the servers as well as managers AND the hostess all checked in regularly with a smile and small talk when prompted. We were especially impressed that servers not tending to our table placed orders/knew of orders and communicated with the waitress serving us. Most restaurants struggle to keep orders ready with the designated server, this place EXCELLED with communication. We all enjoyed a variety of different cocktails, all of which were delicious (however a bit pricy for some) and all partook in appetizers and entrees. ALL of the food was delicious and had fair portions, couldn't say enough good things. This place is a bit cramped but not horribly, the decor is cute and everything is clean :) Most importantly, to celebrate the birthday we were brought a tres leches cake that paired very nicely with the pastelitos and cafecito service! The cake was DELICIOUS, the coffee was wonderful, and the experience was a highlight for a busy weekend of festivities! 10 out of 10 will be coming back again! :)

Instead of ordering from a menu, I trusted him to craft something based on my vibe and somehow, he nailed it. Not once, but twice. Drinks felt personalized, balanced, and thoughtfully executed. It's rare to find that level of intuition behind the bar. On the food side, I tried the corn ribs, which were a standout in their own way. Unique, flavorful, and an easy choice if you're a fan of corn. They worked perfectly as a shareable appetizer. The overall vibe leans toward a more decadent, intimate experience. It's the kind of place you go when you want to slow down, have meaningful conversation, and enjoy something crafted with care. Southern comfort food as a general rule just doesn't sit well with me anymore and I'm going to be very transparent and bare my soul a little bit here but here goes . . . Ever since being on GLP1's, I've developed a really complicated relationship with comfort food. Foods that are rich, buttery, creamy or fatty now hit me completely differently than they used to. It's almost like my body immediately goes into shutdown mode afterwards. I feel heavy, exhausted and like I've instantly ballooned even if the portions themselves aren't massive. For the longest time I honestly thought it was simply the richness of the food itself but now I realize it's because my digestion just can't process heavier comfort foods the same way anymore. Suddenly... it all makes sense. The food itself here is VERY good. Properly seasoned, well prepared, beautifully presented... absolutely no complaints there whatsoever. I simply have to become more mindful and strategic now with my menu selections no matter WHERE I dine. I chose the Creekstone Farm's NY Strip with the fabulous bone marrow which I KNOW is supposed to be incredibly nutrient rich and good for you... but honestly... it just about put me under afterwards. This dinner happened thanks to Ronnald M. and his sister Teris and it was our pre-opera dinner outing before seeing the fabulous Merry Widow at the Dr. Phillips Center. The Monroe is honestly a very good pre-concert restaurant choice because of both the atmosphere and location... I'm just personally learning that this new GLP1 reality means I can't approach menus the way I used to anymore.
