The food was mid. The wings weren't flavorful but the presentation was nice. Hard to be disappointed with a dipping sauce. I enjoyed the caramelized onion flatbread and the Avocado & Feta salad. I used ranch instead of the sauce that it came with and it was good. I had a rum punch type drink and it was $28 with nothing to offer..that was disappointing. Rick Melvern was the voice. The show was good. I enjoyed the voice of but he was very rude to my husband and I. He ignored us but interacted with ALL the other patrons. We sang.. he ignored, we danced he ignored.. I purposefully didn't say anything,until my husband asked me if it seemed he had a problem with us. He blatantly asked all the tables by us for request and no one had one.. we yelled out "Reasons" and he acted like he couldn't understand my husband. This left a sour taste in my mouth. I literally made it a point to continue to enjoy my company and make the best of our time. If I had the option to NOT buy a table and contribute to him. But the band was well worth it. I came for Motown night and it was Amazing ! I ordered 2 drinks and some food as well . I ordered the No woman No Cry drink which tasted like a rum punch & a Dreaming of you drink which was an espresso martini made with tequila. For Food I ordered the scallop & shrimp ceviche, which was delicious but I wish they added more chips since the portion is quite large. I also ordered the caramelized onion flat bread . This was my first visit to Lizzy's Live and it's great to know that a place like this exists in Orlando! The food was good and came out pretty quick. The drinks were also good but they came out slower than the food. I assume this is because it was a busy night. The decor is beautiful and the band was good. Only thing I would suggest for improvement is a sound check for the band. The band's sound seemed a bit off and the instruments kind of drowned out the lead singer's vocals. The live music by Blue Moon was absolutely amazing. They sounded great and interacted with the crowd very well. We had a (maybe newer) server who forgot to fill the waters till the end and didn't know who ordered which food. A fingernail fell on my menu out of the blue...no one in our party had these nails, no clue where it came from. I was taking pictures of the menu and set it down to order when our server came by, ordered, looked down again and there was the nail. Server didn't have these nails either. Food was very mid. Flatbread was salty, pasta didn't have enough salt. Truffle fries were good. Food prices were pricey but typical for a jazz club. Drinks were average price. Asked about any birthday specials and the hostess let me know, whenever I'm ready, they'll bring the birthday dessert by. Tried to let them know I was ready, server let me know that there is no birthday dessert. I could choose a dessert off the menu for 30% off. All in all, maybe eat before coming and just enjoy drinks with some fries while listening to the wonderful live music. Everyone with a birthday also got serenaded by the musicians! read more

What a delight this place is! Orlando so needed a classy place to enjoy good music, food, and drinks. Everything about this place is just about perfect. It reminds me a lot of Herb Alpert's Vibrato restaurant in LA.: same chill vibe, great acoustics, and reasonable live music volume levels. The Tuesday night we went there was a solo guitarist who was excellent. The menu is tapas style, with lots of shareable items, and only a couple of larger plates. We really liked the three types of hummus--who would have imagined carrot and sriracha could be so good! The chicken empanadas were also good, ruth a really crispy crust. The charcuterie was fine, but a bit more like a supermarket assortment than a high end offering. There's a nice assortment of wines, and almost all are available by the glass or bottle. The cocktail list is also good, although I went off-menu and had an excellent dirty martini made with Aviation Gin. Service by Dulce was friendly and attentive. This is definitely a place we'll put on our regular dining list. read more

Great first experience at Lizzy's Live (previously Jazz Plus)! It is located in a shopping plaza and parking was super easy. Note that there is a dress code (no tank tops, flip flops, etc). Lizzy's is a supper club and live music venue offering a chef-driven menu, craft cocktails, and a variety of live entertainment with an upscale ambiance. On their website they have a calendar of their entertainment. I went on a Saturday around 10pm and it was fairly busy but we were able to be seated immediately. The live band (Beauty and the Beats) was awesome, they played a great mix of music and were very upbeat and entertaining. We decided to try a few of the tapas while there- the ahi tuna, ceviche, and seared scallops. All of them were incredible! Super fresh and very flavorful. I'll have to come back to try the dinner entrees and desserts as well. I love the concept of getting to have some delicious food and drinks while enjoying live entertainment. The ambiance is great, I love the decor and how the inside is set up. there was a band playing upon our arrival so that was nice. Our waitress was super sweet and the overall service was good. BUT, I am a huge foodie and I hated my food. So, I got the short ribs which I was so excited about but man the short ribs were not tender at all almost felt like they were premade. Also, the sauce was too thick, but again I think it was sauce that had been sitting and reheated to serve and the bokchoy was soooo salty. The dish as a whole was not edible. I only ate the mashed potatoes as this was the only edible thing on my plate. Our server felt bad and was able to get the dish discounted but honestly it wasn't worth a dime. I do like the environment, so if I'm ever in the Orlando area, I will go back but just for drinks. read more

Great new jazz place in Dr. Phillips area. It was small and intimate, with a little less than 30 tables plus bar seating. One of my favorite bands (Joseph Jevanni and Intensity) was playing that night. They were great as always. Everything that I ordered was good, some things were great. I ordered: blistered shishito peppers, shrimp and watermelon salad, marinated olives, steak churrasco, chicken and beef empanadas, the Jamaican dry rub wings, and the molten lava cake. My favorites were the wings, they were perfectly fried, very thin batter but the dry rub was very faint. It definitely could have used more rub on it. Shishito peppers were good as well, they had an Asian flavor to them, definitely tasting like soy sauce. However, on the menu, they are described as having a garlic buttermilk dressing on them. That definitely was not an accurate description of the sauce that was on there. They were very good though. I tried the chicken and the beef empanadas, and in my opinion, the beef was much better. It seemed to have more filling than the chicken ones. The churrasco steak was OK, it was somewhat small and the pieces of yuca were just normal. The olives appetizer was good and the amount that we got was more than I expected. I would pass on the shrimp and watermelon. I ordered the molten lava cake for dessert as I love it when it's warm and the chocolate oozes out when you break into it. Unfortunately, this cake was not hot, it wasn't even warm, so nothing was oozing out when I broke into it. I should have asked for them to reheat it for me, but I didn't. I would still get it again, but make sure that it's heated enough to have the chocolate melt. Last but not least we ordered two different cocktails, lychee martini and the stinger. The Stinger was by far my favorite, it was so good that I had 4 of them. I asked the bartender to muddle the jalapeños in it a little more because I like my drinks a little spicy. The lychee martini was pretty pricey at $22 and was the most expensive cocktail on the list. It wasn't my favorite, probably because they had St. Germain in it, which I love, but have never had in a lychee martini before. The drink was strong though, so that was a plus. Overall, I think the place is great. I would definitely order the chicken wings, Shishito peppers, and the stinger cocktail again. They automatically added 20% gratuity to our bill. I look forward to trying out more things on the menu. read more

The highlight was definitely the woman playing the violin she was amazing and such a cool touch. Overall though, I was a little disappointed. Maybe it was the day of the week or timing, I'm not sure, but I don't think I'd go back. The service was fine our server was nice but I expected more of a high-end experience and it didn't really deliver. The ambiance inside was pretty, but that was about it.
