    Trouble in Paradise

I really enjoyed Bandbox. Since I'm participating in dry January I figured this was the perfect place to visit. Reservations are required since the place does not hold that many ppl. I arrived a little early because you want to give yourself time to find parking . The door is locked until your reservation time to give time for the previous reservations to enjoy themselves. Since I was the first to arrive for my time slot which was 10pm i was able to choose whether I wanted the high table or the couch. I chose the couch. Since I'm short I'm not a huge fan of high tables because they leave my legs dangling. The reservation time is an hour. The bartender and host explains the menu and set up. Everything is zero proof , so you'll see names like tequila or rum on the menu because these drinks will achieve the same flavor as those liquors but without alcohol. They also sell bottles etc . They also have a cute free Photo Booth you can take advantage of . I ordered Baby it's cold outside, high hat & the Trouble in paradise. All the drinks were phenomenal. The high hat, which is like an old fashion is currently the winter version so it has a heavy cinnamon taste. They also offer an egg nog baby it's cold outside too. The trouble in paradise as my fav it was like a passion fruit margarita . The customer service was great everything was explained so throughly. The music fit the speakeasy theme & I took plenty of photos. They also have other games to play throughout They even have some dress up items like hats etc to make your photos more fun. I definitely recommend checking them out . I will definitely be back. The only thing I would recommend is adjusting the lighting. I love the mood but it was so dark in most cases I couldn't read the menu without a flashlight and to pay you can go to the counter or scan a QR CODE but it was too dark that my phone unfortunately couldn't read the code.

Hubby and I are currently doing 75 hard (which means no alcohol) , and we're looking for something new and different to do for date night. We made a reservation which was $5/each and I was so glad we did not realizing how quaint the venue is with very minimal seating. There's a strict one hour time frame because of this. It's important to follow this guideline. Outside of this, our hostess was wonderful, educated us on the offerings, and made suggestions. I had the coffee mocktail and he had the old fashioned one. We really enjoyed the experience of feeling like we were having a drink without the side effects the day after. The inside has a ton of 20's inspired decorations, music playing and a fun movie area that's the Photo Booth. You get to take one strip of 4 photos and the booth gives you two of the same so you and your friend or love can have the memory's maid. If you don't drink or are doing a dry month and looking for a place to hang out, I definitely recommend the BandBooth! See

Literally such a cool place! My friends and I wanted a non-alcoholic option and decided to drop in here on a Friday night. We got a reservation a few days ahead of time and once we got there we could see why - there's basically room for two parties, three max if one sits in the photo booth or stands. It's super cozy. There were three of us so we sat on the couch by the windows. We ordered a bunch of things, the wine flight, blueberry cocktail, baby it's cold outside, and I got the trouble in paradise which is a passion fruit margarita. It was sweet with a little spicy because of the sriracha rim, so that definitely hit the back of the throat with every drink. It was delicious! The photobooth is an amazing touch and it's so great that it's included with the cost of entry. We loved taking pictures and using the cute props they had available!

The BANDBOX is definitely a must if you are looking for something a little out of your ordinary. I have been twice now (first time being on opening night) and I will definitely go again. It is quite small, only two small two-tops are available but I have seen larger parties (3-4 people) at each table before so that may be an option. That being said, if you want to guarantee you have a spot, I would reserve your table ahead! They have a cancellation fee of $25 I believe that you are charged if you cancel within 30 min or your reservation which is very generous. When you walk inside you are hit with the most gorgeous and moody 1920s themed "speakeasy" decor. They really nailed it. A maximalist's dream. There is also a cute little photo booth spot with fun props that are very on brand with the theme. Now onto the drinks. I have tried their cocktails, wines, beers and elixirs all of which I would get again. The wine was definitely hit or miss for me, but that's non alcoholic wine for you. I mean, that's the case for alcoholic wine too to be honest, some wines you love and some you don't. Of one of the wines that I did like, I bought a bottle to take home! This place is definitely a nice addition to the many MANY bars in Orlando and it's nice that it gives sober or sober curious people a place to "go out" and actually have great drink options!

This is a unique and cozy speakeasy experience. This is a fantastic idea if you don't feel like drinking, or are pregnant, or have a friend that doesn't drink but you want to experience something like this together. You are transported into a 20s speakeasy in a small room with a little photobooth (FREE!) in the back. Almost everything in the room is for sale, so it's fun to look at all the novelty items around. Do not get there early - the door is locked until your reservation time on the DOT. This is because the room is tiny, and only allows for really small parties at a time for an hour window. Overall, we had a good time. No, the drinks don't taste spot on - but they are GOOD. I might have had a sugar hangover the next day, but it's better than a liquor hangover! The wine was the best - it tasted closest to the real thing! This is because of the way it is made, their book tells you all about out.

Please know what to expect here. This is a non-alcohol bar but I think this is more of an "experience" or a "show" Interesting to note that 99% of the non spirited spirits there are not available in any other establishment in the Orlando area. I would liken it to anyone who has gone to Disney Adventurer's Club back in the days of Pleasure Island or maybe even Prime Time Cafe at the Studios. This place IS smaller than you imagined. There are Two table of 2. Yes seating for the entire place is Four Guests. Posted sign is 10 max capacity and you have to remember there is a bartender and a concierge there, so it's really only 8 people. You certainly can get a drink in a plastic cup and take it outside and enjoy. They also have many can/bottle options that can be a "to go" refreshment for you. Reservations are required and they try to keep the visits or tastings to around 45 minutes. I believe our concierge was named Bryon. He greeted us in his best British tongue and explained the menu as well as the art and items for sale around the spot. He mentioned the story of what a Band Box really was and had an extensive knowledge of the menu. Be advised that his favorite word starts with an F and rhymes with truck. This is all in good fun and part of the character that is serving you for your short visit. They have vintage restored art deco chairs in a side closet that offers fun pictures. You can choose color, b/w, sepia etc and get a fun photo strip with the Bandbox logo at the bottom. This is pretty much all trying drinks but they do offer complementary popcorn that you can help yourself to out of the machine and they offer truffle oil to sprinkle over it because as we were told " they are pretty Fing fancy like that" :) The two of us tried 4 drinks and took 2 to go. They were all good, some we liked more than others but nothing was horrible. But to be clear if you do get something that you do not like - Just tell them and they are more than happy to make something different. This is great for a couple for "date night" or even just a friend. You will not need a designated driver and you will be fine in the morning. What you will experience is a night of loud and boisterous fun.

I was SO pleased with my experience at The Bandbox! This is a non-alcoholic cocktail bar with speakeasy vibes. I loved the fact we could have a sophisticated night with a wide range of drinks as opposed to the measly 2 or 3 mocktail options at other bars. You do have to make a reservation ($5 deposit per person) since the place is so small (10 person max occupancy). Reservations last one hour but if there are no reservations after you, you are welcome to stay longer. I personally liked the small size because it allows for an intimate experience. Classic jazz music played as we sipped our crafted drinks. I first ordered Sheba's Stinger which was essentially an espresso martini. My only critique is I wish the drink was a little more bitter as I thought it was leaning more on sweet side. The two drinks I loved the most were the High-Hat (old fashioned) and the Petting Pantry (Pomegranate margarita). The High-Hat had a delicious Smokey flavor. The Petting Pantry has a sour kick that was so much fun to drink. Drinks were $8 to $10 dollars. I would advise getting there a few minutes early to find parking as you're relying on street parking. Also, don't miss out on the photo booth that is complimentary with your experience! I'm so glad I finally made it to The Bandbox and I can't wait to bring my friends here!

If you're looking for a fun spot that makes alcohol-free drinks, I 100% recommend this place! Gatsby/speakeasy vibe. Includes a photo booth while you're in there, seemingly unlimited (we went 3x since we were with a couple). I ordered Kemps Coliseum first and really enjoyed it, but there was definitely a gentle kick at the end. After that I got the Petting Pantry and really enjoyed that one! It has a tangy salt around one side of the rim and a tart taste to the drink, which is what I'm always looking for. My husband first ordered the Blueberry Bombshell (not pictured). A little on the sweet side, but not too much. He enjoyed it. Next he ordered the High-Hat, which had a smokiness to it. A fun take on an old fashioned.

Nice place To relax in a Disney like atmosphere that brings you back in time while enjoying a non- alcohol cocktail.

One of my favorite spots ever, I had the chance to come to the preview a few months ago and wanted to stop back in during my Dry January! I was delighted to see the same bartender and was greeted by an awesome host. The overall experience here is phenomenal, taking my partner here for the first time was a great decision. The Winter pomegranate seasonal cocktail was delicious, had a little kick but wasn't too sweet. They were out of blueberry for the CBD cocktail but they were quick to accommodate and create a dragonfruit version of the cocktail, PHENOMENAL. It's like time traveling to the 20's for a few drinks and heading home. I also picked up a Rose bottle from their bottle shop, so excited to see this place blossom even more!

The place is like a Time Machine straight back to the 1920's with a photo booth and vintage decor to match! The drinks were excellent we recommend the baby it's cold outside. Leilani was awesome, really making the experience one of a kind!

Phenomenal concept, but this establishment is not entirely upfront about their policies and hidden fees. An alcohol free speakeasy, the allure of this location is that it provides low to 0 proof drinks with an old timey speakeasy theme. The staff were kind helpful and gave us great suggestions. The drinks themselves were tasty, unique and fun. This place lost me due to the fact that our group had to pay a per person deposit on our reservation (I don't remember the exact exact amount, but it was either $5 or $10pp) despite the fact that the website indicated this deposit would be used towards our bill - we were told in-house that this policy was no longer in effect and if we wanted to complain via email, we may get a refund. This bad customer service really put a sour on our otherwise nice night.

Absolutely unreal! As I come up on my third year alcohol-free, I love seeing NA bars pop up in my area, and BANDBOX is no joke! Complete with a full line of zero proof spirits, NA wines and beers, and a long list of ready-to-drink grab and go mocktails, this place truly has it all. Beware! The location is TINY and seats only 2 parties of 2 at a time, so a reservation is a MUST - but it makes the whole experience that much more intimate! Hubby and I ordered: - The Fire in the Engine: A sweet and spicy mango jalapeño margarita - The Blueberry Bombshell: A blueberry ginger mint CBD-infused cocktail - The Petting Pantry: A pomegranate margarita rimmed with an AMAZING triple berry sugar - Kemp's Coliseum: Gin Uptown Rocks Everything was phenomenal! Although all of the craft cocktails were just a hair sweet for my liking, they were still complex, flavorful, and had the same notable zing that would come with traditional alcoholic cocktails! The small space was chock full of gorgeous antiques, bottles of NA spirits, and a free Photo Booth complete with props! Absolutely amazing spot and both my husband and I can't wait to go back!

I really wanted to like this place but it was a swing and a miss. Parking was easy during the Saturday afternoon we visited. On busier occasions, they do offer valet parking. Nearby businesses share parking so if it's a peak time, you may have to walk a little to the door. Not a long wait before we were seated. Spacious with tables and booth seating. There is a bar and televisions here. Our hostess was nice and offered insight into the menu. For the appetizers, we started with oysters Rockefeller, and fried gator tail. It's a red flag when places smother items in a sauce instead of letting it stand on it's own. No complaints on the oysters and the gator tail was given previously frozen vibes. For the entree, I got the shrimp po' boy. The bread was hearty and held onto the six lil shrimp that they felt were enough. When the ratio of shrimp, bread and topping aren't portioned right, you end up with gaps of the flavor when you're eating. What sent me is the shrimp weren't properly deveined. If you took a biology class, you know that black line running along the back is the shrimp's waste system. I'm not eating that. The hostess saw me just sitting there looking at my food and asked if I wanted something different. Hard pass. Even the waffle fries were bad. They weren't piping hot and dried out inside. I made due with the sweet tea which they did well with. The manager came by and offered to remake or replace my meal. I appreciate his efforts but I didn't want anything at that point. The bathrooms were clean. Nice enough people but the kitchen didn't get it right.

And now I have to shuttle myself back to try everything else on the menu in ONE NIGHT or never again. WHY COCKTAILS AND SCREAMS WHYYYYYYYYYY? Hear my lament and stay open for your adoring public. But I could smell the blood in the water for the demise of this incredible bar as the same owners had to shutter my other favorite bar High Tea and we never got to see their speakeasy reach opening day. SO SO SAD!!!! Who do I contact to get a table? Can I buy it????

Well since my first review of October 2019 it's sad that this place is closing for good in a week…read more They did a great job but you can see the wear and tear on the place over the last 7 years. That said they have changed, added and upgraded so much in that same time period. Hopefully we will seem them materialize in a new location. I mean before this .. there was Joysticks so (fingers crossed) and Thanks for the memories !!

I had a group of us driving to Orlando for a weekend and we were making good time, so it was perfect to stop short in St Cloud to see what this Black Squirrel Bookstore was all about. I actually let the girls go in and check it out as we had brought our dog. I sat in the car and read a book ironically, why they had some speakeasy fun. well after maybe a half hour i looked up and my gal and another lady were by the car. The other lady said she was the owner and that we could bring our dog Augie inside. It was very kind of her, as it really wasn't expected art such a nice spot. He sat politely under the table, while we enjoyed some fun drinks, a singer that was adding to a nice night. We left after a couple, but for sure will swing by again when we have the time; great spot.

This place is adorable!!…read more We were on our way to Orlando, and my fiancée found this place for us to stop by. The outside is a bookstore with other cute and interesting things to buy. The bookstore itself is a treat, but we were there for the speakeasy. For this you ring the doorbell outside, they come get you and give you a clue to get in. They don't make you do it if you don't want to but, that is part of the fun. We solved it and in we went. Squirrels everywhere, fun signs, chandeliers, books and light, plus beautiful cozy tables and sofa seating, giving this a great speakeasy ambiance. On the corner a piano, and to our surprise a wonderful live jazz singer, who made our experience even better. The owner happened to be there that night and came to welcomes us at our table. Really nice lady, very happy to see people enjoy the place, and she herself was there with friends having a great time. The drinks are fun, and they have a food menu too. Honestly a place I want to come back to and recommend to everyone.

Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and you can tell there's real thought put into the food and presentation. We ended up staying for well over two hours just enjoying the whole experience -- the vibes, the music, the drinks, and the overall atmosphere were just so good. It felt cozy, lively, and welcoming all at the same time. The drinks were beautifully made and paired perfectly with the food, and the staff and crowd made the space feel fun and relaxed. It's one of those places you randomly find and then immediately want to gatekeep (but also tell everyone about). Truly such a great experience from start to finish. Can't wait to go back!

The ambiance is about half of what this place is all about. It's very Trader Sam's, including a lot of neat Disney memorabilia on the shelves on the walls behind the bar. Dark and stormy tiki bar vibes. The service was super friendly, and the food and bev came out very timely. The drinks were great, and they had a really nice mocktail menu. You can come and enjoy a nice drink without getting alcohol. We also ordered a burger from their limited food menu. It was very good. Not in competition for best burger in Orlando or anything, but the flavors were on point, and bun was nice and soft, and the furikake dusted crinkle cut fries were the perfect side item. Overall, this place was very cool, and if you haven't come here yet, you need to.
