This place was beautifully designed. It has different lounge areas that seem like separate rooms (only three walls), each with a different design. There are table games, like Jenga, and different kinds of seating all over. The ace throwing has stalls on the opposite side of the establishment. The bartenders are awesome, and of course I had to get my staple, an espresso martini. They add a cute decoration ontop in the form of two axes AND it's made with Lineage espresso. The food is delicious. I had the 2600 which has a heaping amount of filet pieces. It's served with chips and is so yummy. This is a cute place for date night or hanging with friends! We visited the trap on a Friday night around 8pm. A bunch of us had a reservation, but we had a couple no shows so we started without them. This place does a great job with getting everyone started and teaching you safety. We also added knives to the reservation. I love this place, everyone is there to have fun and they always have coaches around to help you improve your form if you have questions. Their bar is also great and they always make a good drink. It's got a nice sitting are to stick around and enjoy a drink after throwing too. I did dock one star because they wouldn't refund us for the 2 no shows, they said we could either take an extra half hour for the 4 of us or call the owner later, it just seemed more complicated that necessary. I would understand a non refundable deposit and then charging full for whoever shows up, but charging full for no shows seems odd. Either way I'd definitely recommend this place! We had a great time axe throwing. You reserve a spot at $30 per person for an hour. The staff is very courteous and there is a team member that provides instructions and safety precautions. The space was clean, it was loads of fun and we had some good food. There are special events, you can reserve the space for office parties, and there are trivia nights. You can choose to keep score or just have fun throwing. We ordered tequnos, flat bread pizza, buffalo dip, pork sliders and bacon. The food came out hot and was full of flavor. The tequenos were soft pastry with cheese inside served with two dips. The pepperoni pizza was delicious with a drizzle of honey on top. The buffalo chicken dip was covered with cheese had just the right amount of spice and was served with tortilla chips. Next was pork sliders with great BBQ flavor and lastly some tasty bacon. We enjoyed the food that was presented well and it all had a great taste. For the axe throwing you need to take your time, aim and throw straight and you can generally hit the target. The Axe Trap was a really cool awesome place. My wife and I went first thing on a Friday with no one else there and had a blast. The inside of the axe trap is setup really nicely. Even though when I went no one else was there, you could tell them going there on a Thursday-Saturday evening the vibe would be awesome. They have a bar with lots of draft beer and cocktail options. It's a full bar as well which is nice. They have a solid food menu. The staff was really great as well. I didn't have any food but I had the Papi Chulo drink and it was super flavorful and potent. I hear the food is really good, too, so I'll have to come back and try it out. A friend of mine invited a bunch of us here because the DJ is supposed to be really good. Well, I'll be honest as I always am in my reviews. The DJ does not take any requests at all. The music had us feeling like we were back in our retail jobs in 2006 or on a quick Old Navy run. It was terrible. This place is esthetically pleasing. There's lots of space to dance and cool little lounge areas inside and outside. I didn't axe throw because I really came through for the DJ and to support a friend that's trying to make monthly gatherings in different places around orlando. Went her for a date night. This was hubby and I first time axe-throwing and we had the time of our lives. The instructor was very helpful and encouraging. I walked in throwing blanks to hitting bullseyes with her help! Now on to the food, we had a salmon dish, spinach and artichoke dip and everything was so delishhhhh! Great spot to do activity and connect with friends. The staff were friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. I learned how to throw axe and they even helped provide feedbacks so I can throw better. Drinks were strong which is great for the price. Food was decent but took longer than expected. I understand they aren't a restaurant but wanted to share since we have a dish came out after we already finished with the lane so someone on our party took it to go instead. This is such a fun place and I love the vibes! Everyone here is friendly, I haven't met one who isn't. The lounge area is nicely decorated and there is plenty of seating. My boyfriend and I went during their Valentine's Day special. It included an hour of axe throwing, two free alcohol drinks from a select menu, and a charcuterie board. The place was decorated for Valentine's Day, making the day extra special. Overall, me and my boyfriend had a really good time. The drinks were flavorful and strong, the charcuterie board was yummy and cute, and the axe throwing instructor was very nice and encouraging. I also liked that the kitchen was very accomodating to my boyfriend's needs regarding his allergies. If it's your first time axe throwing, I would defintely go here. Also, as a newbie I appreciated that the staff was able to guide me with the technique until I got used to throwing the axe. So happy to have found this place! This was sooooo much fun and different. When you walk in you're serviced immediately from the outside it looks a little weird like just a bar but the bar and the axe throwing are connected. You get one hour to throw. There are other games you can play like giant Jenga , they also have giant tv screens to watch fights/games etc. Once you're at the axe throwing area, you get instructions on how to throw and safety etc. There's also appetizers and drinks you could get while playing. Okay, so I recently visited the Trap and had the BEST time! This was my first time axe throwing and I am hooked. I booked a reservation on a Tuesday afternoon (It's BOGO every Tuesday BTW). We arrived and checked in promptly and were lead to our designated lane. An employee gave us the rundown on how to properly throw an axe, especially since it was our first time. It was VERY helpful! I found out I am better at throwing two handed :). This visit we didn't order any drinks or food... next time for sure. This is very family friendly and even perfect for a girls night/date night/ friends night out! The inside is very spacious. Cons- the axe throwing area is a third of the space. Each lane isn't individually blocked (you'll share with two or three other people) and at least while I was there, there wasn't much guidance on staff to give pointers. This is one of the nicest axe throwing places I have been to. It would be perfect for a date night, party or a group get together. They have a great area for axe throwing but also a very nice bar and restaurant on the other side. You walk in and are greeted by the beautifully decorated bar. My friend and I ended up sitting at the bar, had a drink and some food. We didn't come for the axe throwing on this visit but it looks like on their website a lane is $30 a hour for the axe throwing. The food was great and they have a nice beer selection. I had a local iPA and the BLT: made with pecanwood bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and house truffle mayonnaise. My friend had the margherita flatbread: Fresh mozzarella, fire roasted tomatoes, basil and a balsamic drizzle. I was definitely impressed with the fresh quality of the food. Service was very friendly at the bar. Will definitely return to experience the axe throwing. They are open late on Fri and Saturday nights, til 2am. I was taken here on a Thursday for date night and it was great. We had a reservation for 6:30pm and walked in and were helped immediately. Thursday nights after 6pm is Ladies Night which consists of $7 cocktails, I thoroughly enjoyed a "papi chulo" tequila based drink with passion fruit liquor, YUM! It was very slow when we went, aside from us and the staff there were about 6 other patrons. The entire staff was very kind and helpful. I've thrown axes once before but it was nice to get a refresher and kinda have that one-on-one feel with it not being so busy. They have a beautifully decorated interior and outdoor patio area. I've been here a couple times and enjoyed my experience each time. Half off throwing and half off drinks on Tuesdays (they have other specials during the week) and they have Foxtail coffee in the morning/during the day. I recently went for Valentine's Day and had a blast. $69 for throwing for 2 for an hour, 2 cocktails, and a charcuterie board. Great deal. They give a little crash course each time and allow for pics. I enjoyed the Papi Chulo (not too spicy) and a Blackberry Kentucky Mule. I've had a couple flatbreads that were good too.
