Our family of 5 (including 15 yr old son) made reservations for Sunday from 1-2pm. You are required to pay online in advance or hope for space when you show up. Waiver also needs to be signed for participation in axe throwing. Arrived 15 minutes in advance as they requested to get you set up to be able to actually throw for 1 hour. A coach meets with you before you throw to give you instructions and assistance along the way. We ordered Papi Chulo and an Espresso Martini as well as some food. Millionaires Bacon was very flavorful and disappeared from our table quickly. Hummus and Flambé Cheese was good as well as the BBQ Pork sliders. Food and drinks served quickly to our tables on the axe throwing side of things. You order from bar side. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. They were also setting up for a private event which took place after our reservation time but would be a good place for that type of thing. Hubby brought me gear for date night and it was a pleasant surprise. We arrived 15 mins late however they made accommodations for us to still be able to throw axes. We signed our waivers quickly and was given an quick overview since we have thrown axes before. The service was quite awesome, waiters going around to obtain your food and drink selection. We had our company holiday party at The Axe Trap. For lunch we had sliders (beef, Impossible, and pork), salad, and taquitos (?). It was delicious! Then, we split into two groups: Group 1 stayed in the dining area to play trivia and Group 2 went to throw axes. We switched after about an hour. The staff at The Axe Trap made sure we could plug in and use our laptop for the trivia game, and they interacted with us while we were throwing axes. First time coming to a business like this while trying to find something to do with my girlfriends and this was it for us. $25/hr to throw axes being taught by trained professionals and learn a few games to keep score and be competitive with your friends. His communication skills towards some highly intoxicated girls was just the type of therapeutic communication we needed. We had an absolute blast here with a group party. This review is also one huge shout out to Kleymer, the sweetest & kindest server I've ever encountered. She remembered our drinks and always checked in on us. We started the evening with their summer drink menu and axe throwing. My fav was Frankie Says Relax. Their axe throwing training crew were 3 men who were completely different personalities from one other, and that made it fun. They taught us, supervised, offered advice, and fun games to play. We really enjoyed our time, and our next-day sore muscles proved that well. Their food is SO GOOD. We tried their flatbread the meats and their sliders. To die for! I will say we did not go there to throw axes, which if you don't know the venue also has an area for axe throwing! But we came for the espresso martinis. Which were incredible and the food...FANTASTIC. A unique twist executed perfectly. The steak sandwich is the best steak sandwich I think I may have ever had, the appetizers are all knockouts.
