The best thing about The Axe Trap? The staff!! Throwing the ax was hard for me - I tend to overthink and I got anxious. The staff was awesome and kept helping until I got it! Also, the food. Yum. Upscale bar food! read more

So much fun. This was our first time so we did not know what to expect. Alex was really helpful showing us technique. I was surprised as how quickly I picked it up getting a few bullseyes and 3 pointers. Yes there were a few misses too. Nice vibe and a good food and drink menu Great place to gather with friends. Definitely hooked now read more

Hubby brought me gear for date night and it was a pleasant surprise. We arrived 15 mins late however they made accommodations for us to still be able to throw axes. We signed our waivers quickly and was given an quick overview since we have thrown axes before. The service was quite awesome, waiters going around to obtain your food and drink selection. My waiter definitely didn't provide me with the wine I ordered however I didn't make a fuss since again , they accommodated our late reservation and the place was extremely busy! In the middle of throwing axes , they checked on us to make sure we was okay and gave us some pointers on how to get that bullseye. After our throwing session , they come out with bigger axes for pictures and took as many as you liked! After we were in the mood for a quick bite, I ordered the dip and my husband ordered the vegan meatballs. Both were delicious and very LARGE portions. You can't go wrong with read more

Our family of 5 (including 15 yr old son) made reservations for Sunday from 1-2pm. You are required to pay online in advance or hope for space when you show up. Waiver also needs to be signed for participation in axe throwing. Arrived 15 minutes in advance as they requested to get you set up to be able to actually throw for 1 hour. A coach meets with you before you throw to give you instructions and assistance along the way. We ordered Papi Chulo and an Espresso Martini as well as some food. Millionaires Bacon was very flavorful and disappeared from our table quickly. Hummus and Flambé Cheese was good as well as the BBQ Pork sliders. Food and drinks served quickly to our tables on the axe throwing side of things. You order from bar side. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. They were also setting up for a private event which took place after our reservation time but would be a good place for that type of thing. Highly recommended, kids already want to come back again. read more

Step up if you're feeling a little daring and dangerous. First time coming to a business like this while trying to find something to do with my girlfriends and this was it for us. $25/hr to throw axes being taught by trained professionals and learn a few games to keep score and be competitive with your friends. Sam was our axe expert and he was extremely sweet, helpful, and very encouraging. His communication skills towards some highly intoxicated girls was just the type of therapeutic communication we needed. I made reservations online, paid in advance and signed our waivers through our mobiles. It was super easy and this place also has food and drinks for at affordable prices. Each drink we purchased were only $5 and it made it super easy to keep that liquid courage going. Service was absolutely amazing! And by the end of our game, they brought out even bigger axes for some photo opportunities. I definitely felt leaving the venue like a pro. I hope I get to make it out to this location again. read more

We had an absolute blast here with a group party. This review is also one huge shout out to Kleymer, the sweetest & kindest server I've ever encountered. She remembered our drinks and always checked in on us. We started the evening with their summer drink menu and axe throwing. My fav was Frankie Says Relax. Their axe throwing training crew were 3 men who were completely different personalities from one other, and that made it fun. They taught us, supervised, offered advice, and fun games to play. We really enjoyed our time, and our next-day sore muscles proved that well. Their food is SO GOOD. We tried their flatbread the meats and their sliders. To die for! Wish we could come back just for the food. Their cheese sticks and dips are also super yummy. The place also has simple games like checkers and Jenga which were fun breaks between axe throwing. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place for their fun atmosphere and kind staff. read more

Overall - the place/experience was very nice. Came here as a work outing with a group of 10. Had a reservation for the group, check in went well, but make sure to allow for a bit of time for all parties to fill out the waivers. Drinks from the bar were good - and the bartenders were very nice! Very close to a 5-star experience, however, after checking in, we overheard that there was no food being served. We were there at 6p, and we were expecting to be able to eat there, as their website indicated full bar and full menu availability. Might be worth a call ahead of time to check if this is going to be a requirement for you/your group. read more

We went for a company event. It was so much fun! Engaging instructors and great service! They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. I would recommend for a team outing, date, or a group of friends! read more

We had our company holiday party at The Axe Trap. For lunch we had sliders (beef, Impossible, and pork), salad, and taquitos (?). It was delicious! Then, we split into two groups: Group 1 stayed in the dining area to play trivia and Group 2 went to throw axes. We switched after about an hour. The staff at The Axe Trap made sure we could plug in and use our laptop for the trivia game, and they interacted with us while we were throwing axes. They really made sure we had everything we needed and our party was a huge success. I highly recommend this venue to anyone. read more

So much fun! There were two gentlemen, one who's name was Sam and another who's name we did not catch but they were so fun and helpful! It was my husband and my 5th wedding anniversary and we wanted to give axe throwing a try. Thank you for making this a memorable one for us!! read more

We came here as a family of 7 for a birthday on Dec. 30th, we went at 6:00 PM and planned on eating dinner after to celebrate. The Ax throwing was great and the worker very helpful in teaching us how to throw the ax's correctly. Our 3 stars are because of the meal or I should say lack of a meal because we never got to eat. The manager came out and said they didn't have any food because of the upcoming 3 day holiday. i could not believe that a place that advertises dinner had no food and no one let us know ahead of time. We would have gone to another place because we told them upfront we were celebrating a birthday and we're planning on eating dinner there. All we were offered was 10% of drinks and we could bring take out in.... nope we not be back and will not recommend. read more

We had a lot of fun at our holiday party at The Trap. I loved the vibe and decor of the place. The staff were absolutely the best. So nice and so knowledgeable. Great spot for a date, hang out with friends or family! We made a reservation online for an hour of axe throwing on the same day. The check in process is quick and easy. They have a bar that serves Foxtail Coffee, wine and beer. Once you grab a drink, they take you to your reserved lane and give you some axe throwing tips and game ideas. The staff are super friendly and pop by throughout your time to see how things are going and offer more tips if you need them. They also will take food and drink orders at your axe throwing lane as well. When you're done, they also have a huge lounge area with couches and TVs where you can hang out and relax. The decor inside is super cute and it's a cool spot to hang around for a bit. read more

I came in the morning to grab a cup of coffee from the Foxtail. It is the coolest place! It has a hip vibe that is a coffee shop during the day and bar at night. There is a full cocktail menu list too. They were advertising live music at nighttime. There is also axe throwing + a fun punching bag to play with. The barista who made our coffee was very super friendly and nice! read more

Wowowow so I'm giving this place 5 stars and mostly because I am so incredibly impressed by their lounge atmosphere and the menu! I will say we did not go there to throw axes, which if you don't know the venue also has an area for axe throwing! But we came for the espresso martinis. Which were incredible and the food...FANTASTIC. A unique twist executed perfectly. The steak sandwich is the best steak sandwich I think I may have ever had, the appetizers are all knockouts. The martinis are beautifully crafted and the staff is so passionate about the ingredients and process that goes into curating all the menu items it was a pleasant surprise and a diamond in the rough! We will be coming back very often! read more
