I went here on Wednesday evening for my friend's birthday. Decided to just have a simple Pinot…read moregrigio wine from Italy and it was enjoyable. However, it was pretty small for 13 dollars (even though the menu looked to be 12 dollars instead). For the party, we had a charcuterie board with various crackers, cheeses, and meats. They were in high quality as the meats had great flavor and right amount of salt. The cheese had the sharp flavor, and I loved the wheat flavor of the crackers. I didn't buy any other food or drinks over there, but I did notice that the prices were quite expensive for the portions. One of the guest mentioned that her glass of club soda was 8 dollars! That's quite expensive, even in the Winter Park area. The staff were friendly and attentive, and went above and beyond to give my friend a great birthday. The atmosphere looks like an upscale executive lounge with chillaxin music and artsy paintings that looks like you can buy. I though wonder why the eyes were red out in almost all of the paintings. I enjoyed the food and drinks at this lounge, but found the prices to be pretty high for the portions. It's located next to Jala, a new Indian restaurant that opened. Parking is free, and there is a public parking lot close by. I would come back again with my colleagues if we do want to do light snacks and drinks after work. Overall: B

They also have a staple menu if you are more of a "creature of habit" and like your tried-and-true favorites. Their food menu is not GRAND, but it does pack a nice punch if you are looking for a quick nibble to accompany your cocktail - which is REALLY the star of the show. Since the cocktail is one of the main highlights of the experience, the TRUE STARS are the bartenders who pour (literally and figuratively) their heart and soul into curating the bar menus to WOW your senses. Some of my favorite seasonal cocktail experiences are EASILY had at The Courtesy. And what really makes it a GEM is how much CARE is put into the details, not only into the menu, but also into the decor of the space. They know how to draw you in and keep you in. For as long as they are here, I'll be a regular here.

We had a wonderful visit to The Chapman in Winter Park for $60 Magical Dining!…read moreFood Highlights: The warm, pull-apart rolls served with whipped, seasoned butter were the perfect start to the meal. The wedge salad topped with crispy bacon, fresh tomatoes, avocado, and blue cheese was beautifully presented and crisp. The seared salmon served over a flavorful bed of cooked vegetables with a smooth sauce was cooked to perfection. The lamb chops were equally impressive, rich, and full of flavor. Desserts: We finished with a decadent, smooth crème brûlée topped with fresh berries and a rich, dark chocolate cake accompanied by a sweet berry reduction. Atmosphere & Service: The service throughout the evening was attentive and helpful. While the music inside was a bit on the loud side, the seating arrangements were comfortable and pleasant, making for an overall great dining experience. Definitely recommend stopping by, especially during Magical Dining season!

The space itself is beautiful, stylish, and has a great upscale atmosphere. Service was also amazing throughout our visit, friendly, attentive, and easily one of the strongest parts of the experience. We started with the rosemary focaccia, and this was easily the highlight of the entire meal. It was delicious and something I would absolutely recommend ordering. Unfortunately, everything after that was a bit of a letdown. The salad had way too much going on for my taste. Between the peas, pistachios, various fruits, and all the other components, there were just too many competing flavors and textures. I appreciate a creative salad, but this one felt overly complicated rather than cohesive. The steak wasn't cooked to my liking, and the portions overall were surprisingly small, especially considering the price point. We also tried the cake for dessert, but it was extremely rich, to the point where a few bites were plenty for me. Overall, 3/5. The service and atmosphere were fantastic, and I would definitely recommend the rosemary focaccia, but it says something when the bread was honestly the highlight of the meal. I'd consider coming back for drinks, focaccia, and the ambiance, but based on this visit, I wouldn't rush back specifically for dinner.

After months of anticipation... I finally made it to Alfie's…read more It was exactly what I was hoping it would be: a slice of culture. Real people. Real life. Real youth. Real energy. Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. Go after 9 or 10 PM and plan to stay for at least two hours. That's when you really see the scene develop and come alive. Bring your ID: they card at the door. Even at my age, I still get carded. No complaining about that ! lol

We went up to the bar to order real quick, and to ask the bar tender about the drinks on the happy hour menu. There weren't that many people at the bar and multiple bar tenders, but it took us so long to flag someone down. One guy at the end of the night even said someone would be with us, then he went and cleared our table even though we were going right back to it. The bar tender we ended up getting didn't speak a single word to us and he disappeared midway through our short stay. We ordered our drinks and after so long of not seeing them we decided to look for them. Turns out they were left with a group of guys at the bar. My friend was so uncomfortable because she's had bad experiences with her drinks being left unattended. We still ended up drinking them after the guys eventually left the bar. They were very bland, weak, and sweet. For $10 happy hour getting a sus drink that tasted like melted ice- big nope. I will never be going back.
