I will start by saying first and foremost, I went in excited to visit this lounge but I did NOT go upstairs for the Hookah. I went inside, knowing that the hookah lounge itself is upstairs of this little head shop. Why 1 star if I didn't even make it upstairs? For that reason! We got here planning to spend quite some time here, have drinks and relax - but before you can even go upstairs you have to read some rules; not just COVID friendly understanding, but a commitment to spending $60 for two people and essentially $30 a person from there so if you're going in with a group of 4, you're committing to $120 for a tab in order to enter. REALLY?! My friend who was with us had been here in the past, pre-pandemic. He asked what's with these new rules? The gentleman working said it's because tables have to be private instead of shared now due to COVID and it's such a small place they need to ensure the profit.... my friend said right to him, this is inaccurate - every time he's been there he has had a private table with whoever he was with. Everywhere else, you can get a hookah experience for $25-$30 and you do it until it's done with whoever you're with, not per person. So why in the WORLD would you ever pay this! As I said before, we were out and fully prepared to spend money, which is completely fine - but there is no way to justify charging people THAT much! We asked how much a hookah was to purchase and he named a few.... proved our point.. you might as well buy one!! You'd still have money left over to buy some pretty colored lightbulbs for your house and recreate a lounge without dealing with masks and required nonsense.‍ read more

Finding a cool hookah lounge can sometimes be so hard! But I was so happy when I found Kush because it was everything I needed in a hookah lounge. The lounge is upstairs of a smoke shop so it is hidden almost like a speakeasy. Upon entering they had sections of couches that were separated which was great for privacy. The lounge is also fairly small with space for no more than 6 groups at once- I loved that! We ordered the mint and melon hookah which was perfect alongside a bottle of champagne. They do not have any mixed drinks or liquor only beer and wine. The hookah is also reasonably priced at $32. I will definitely be back! read more

OMG what can I say: love love love this cute little place with many choices. Lots of edibles along with neat cute one of a kind gems. You can purchase a few items not sold any other other places. In the heart of downtown orlando. The staff very friendly and informative. Staff did have masks on for the Corvid Pandemic: Felt safe. Went upstairs and OMG had a blast from the stripper pole to the cute white lounges, great music and dancing many hookah to choose from. Reasonable prices too. I really enjoyed this place. It pains me to write this and i hate writing a bad review to a business but man what happened to this place??? Every time i visit Orlando for the past 10+ years i go to this place. They had hands down best hookah and very cool ambiance. But in the last 2-3 years it's gone down hill. Yesterday when i was there the white Ikea couches they purchased over ten years ago are filthy dirty, they changed the color. Hookah menu they have on hand was hand written by a kid, with 5-6 flavor options and all Al Fahkr. They had one of the best hookah selections with some exotic flavors that you couldn't find anywhere and the taste was always amazing. Hookah sessions lasted at least 40 minutes before the flavor changed a little bit. Last 2-3 years after five minutes of smoking it starts being harsh. Dude fixed it like three times in 15 minutes and still tasted like garbage. Then they have this crazy thing now where it's 30$ per person minimum on top of the 5$ regular charge which I don't care about. They also charge you 18% gratuity automatically. It just poor business decision. It really sucks because it used to be such a gem of a place to see it become this. I hope that it changes back to how it used to be with the best flavors in the world. I visited this place about 3 years ago and loved it. I went recently with a friend and was not impressed. It is more hype then anything and definitely not worth the fee to enter. Perhaps if there was better music and hookah it could be competitive. You can't even request music if you're one of 3 people there. LOVE the idea of this place, and as soon as I read Mike and Susan's reviews I knew I was going to check it out ASAP! It's weird because I absolutely hate cigarettes and the idea of smoking, however, I absolutely dig hookah. If you hit up Kathmandu, there is a sign outside letting you know Kush is inside. You just head in and tell them you are there for Kush. We arrived on a Tuesday evening around 10ish? You would think it wouldn't be busy, boy was it! At first we were told we would have to wait for a phone call because the place was packed but I talked to the owner, Gary to tell him how excited I was to try this place out and he went up and found a spot for us since there were only 2 of us. It was bumpin' up there for sure. It is a very small lounge that is just so flippin' dope. If you have ever been to Pulse, this place reminds me of a mini white room. Everything was white from the floor to the ceiling to the furniture. The lights and art around the room were the pops of color which was a perfect addition. There are couches, small tables close to the ground and a tall table. I am a fan of the couches and the tall table... the smaller table hurts when you are a tall person =( haha. Katie is the shit! She was our server and it was like we were in her house and she was top hostess! So nice, chill and informative. I was inquiring about cider of course, which they did not have any, but she didn't skip a beat and offered me a GREAT alternative: Lindemans, mmmmmmm!!! So good! We went with the grape hookah and it was perfect. They kept checking up on us too to make sure everything was cool. Even everyone else that was there just chillin' were straight cool. I have to admit that if I had to wait for a call back to check this place out I would have given it 4 stars - because... when I want to chill... I want to chill! So HOPEFULLY it will stay a little under the radar so that when I want to go I will be able to ;o) I guess writing this review isn't helping with keeping it on the DL huh? Kush was introduced to me this past weekend when one of my girlfriends came into town from Miami. We were on a waiting list because it was a small place and filled to capacity. We didn't end up getting a call back until the following night. When we walked in through the smoke shop * Kathmandu" to go upstairs, we were immediately amazed at the private white walled entrance with color changing neon lights. We entered into a crisp white room with about seven different seating areas. Lights kept changing colors to make the atmosphere relaxing and enjoyable. The white vinyl couches were comfortable and roomy, and the place was decked out like an upscale Miami South Beach ultra lounge. Kush definitely felt like there wasn't a single inch on the walls that didn't feel like there was something fun or cool to stare at. Shiny, pretty things and art. A large plasma screen TV displayed home videos from India. My friend and I got there near closing and the owner, Gary, ended up having time to converse with us about the details of his hookah lounge. The music was awesome (they were playing dubstep), the sound system was incredible and at a reasonable level. The other patrons were pretty down right cool to talk to. On top of that, the owner who runs the place was really nice and personable. I knew right then and there, that the place felt like it was my second home, replete with all the comforts of being a couch potato without having to clean up after myself and friends. The biggest PLUS of this place was the mini stripper pole that was installed in their VIP room. I was I knew it was a custom to take off your shoes when entering into a completely clean white room, so I practiced my skills I've been learning on the pole. The owner, Gary was also really grateful I respected him. They're well known for their flavored tobacco, my friend and I tried the fruity "Triple XXX" house blend. The place is small, so be prepared to wait at a nearby bar for a text or call back, or try to make reservations if you want to impress someone! I plan on going back again tonight! The location is hard to find since the name of the Hookah spot is within another business upstairs. Once you get in some its relatively small, the atmosphere is AMAZING & so CHILL! I mean shit I would come back just to visit this spot and the prices were good and amazing staff! I mingled with so many people and if the mood was right I can see nothing but sexual stuff going on here based on the vibe haha . Definitely check out this location but on a day in not there so I can get in quick lol. I have nothing but good things to say about this joint. The guy who helped us out with what flavor we wanted had an attitude, barely checked on us, and when we asked if he could split the check a certain way he said "no I'm not doing that". The final thing was that he actually wrote in the tip for us and the total, we didn't even get to do it ourselves (which I think is just absurd considering it's my card). What I did liked was that they Tell your downstairs that the place it's packed but it wasn't when we went in it's a $5 cover and the hookah start off $25 refills, change of flavor are $15 which I think it's overpriced coming from a town In NJ were I had hookah spots everywhere max you would pay was $20 but unlimited. Another things they put a 18% of tip in your check and one thing I didn't like was THAT THEY WROTE ON MY CREDIT CARD CHECK THE TIP my tap was $87 for each hookah and wine they added like and extra $14 that's the reason why I got 3 stars. Monday night I was at an event downtown. Once the event was coming to a close, a friend suggested checking out Kush. We walked over to a smoke shop and made our way in. Once we had our Id's checked, he called upstairs to get approval for us to go up. Once cleared, he provided us the 4 digit code that leads upstairs. At first, it felt a little sketchy. But once we made it through the metal beaded drapes and into the main room, we were quickly greeted by the owner, Gary. He was an extremely nice and welcoming character. He ushered us in and made sure we were nice and comfortable before going over the drink menu and a brief overview of all of the flavors. Note: You won't find Bud, Miller Lite, Coors, etc. Its all fun micro-brews and what not. Although the drinks are a little more expensive, I found it to be particularly refreshing to see such an array of unique choices. The loft layout and clean decor reminded me of a place I visited while in New York. The space is fairly small, so the white walls, curtains, and furniture helps to open it up a bit. The music was kept at the perfect volume. We were able to enjoy the music while easily maintaining conversation without yelling at each other. We ordered the pumpkin spice flavored tobacco. The flavor was mild, but clearly present and quite smooth. One fill lasted us well over an hour and that hour flew by. We were there fairly early, so it was pretty quiet - aside from some visiting reality TV starlet there with her small entourage. It appeared that the ventilation was up to snuff, but that may be just because there wasn't a large crowd in there. By the way, a large crowd would be about 30 since that is where Gary caps the occupancy. All in all, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend it as a great alternative to sitting in a run of the mill bar smokey bar. read more

I love everything about Kush. First off, it's at a great location. It's downtown, above a smoke shop, and kind of hidden away. The environment is insanely sexy. White galore. White seats, white walls, white linens hanging from the ceiling. Did I mention it's sexy? =) They have a ton of different flavors, really anything you can think up. Great drink selection as well. From beers and wines, to regular soda options. I will say though, as much as this place is "hidden," it gets packed, quickly. Went to Kush this past weekend for my 30th birthday. We went there on a whim after dinner and was very pleased. We walked in and I was amazed at the decor. Solid white, plush seating and a great lighting display. The music was on point (jump-up hip hop jams, old school!)! We walked in and service was on point. Very reasonably priced tobacco and a great beer selection. I tried the "Incredible Hulk mixed with the XXX". Great combo. I do wish that the hookah had more than 2 hoses but the place was jumping. We all ordered beers or wine, as thats all they serve. The beer selection is great. A lot of organic beers. Make sure to try the "Rogue Dead Guy." They also have a bunch of Abita beers. First time in a Hookah Lounge ever... It was quite amazing! The environment was very inviting, and my group of 5 were able to enjoy themselves comfortably without a feeling of being cramped. The ambient lighting and permeable curtains that filled the room only accented the music that seems to follow your eyes as you take in your surroundings. The space is out of control beautiful - definitely not what you expect when you enter through your run-of-the-mill smoke shop and climb up some stairs. The staff was also SO nice. They were very accommodating to us and made sure we were taken care of the entire night (we were part of a bachelorette party). Although I had been to other hookah bars, I had never been to one of such quality. I loved their unique flavors and their list of craft beers was really impressive. After a recent trip to South Beach I have been OBSESSED with hookah. It is starting to be one of my favorite ways to relax and hang out with friends. I've been to Kush 2x now and am already looking forward to my next visit. It doesn't get better than this! The location is in downtown Orlando and the hookah lounge is actually above a non-descript smoke shop. Walk in and the guy at the counter is super friendly and helpful. It's a $10 cover on the weekends with a 2 drink minimum but it's totally worth it. Once you pay the counter guy, he will give you the door lock passcode and once you walk up the stairs, it's like you are transformed to a totally different world. The decor is ultra white "Miami" style and they have a DJ spinning great tunes. The space is small, only 5 table areas which would be the only downside but both times I've been there, we haven't had a problem getting a table area to ourselves. They offer a huge list of flavors - mine fav is the orange sherbert! Also the drink menu is rather electic but in a good way. They serve beer, wine and non-alcholic beverages and I was surprised but excited to see they have such varieties as left hand milk stout to my favorite framboise lambic. The hookah service is top notch and the staff make sure to make regular rounds to switch out your coals. Also the staff is very friendly and accomodating and most importantly, seem to act AND look like they enjoy their job and their guests being there.
