Went here for my moms birthday and had a great time. All the food was so good, and fresh. I love that they had an option for whatever mood you're in. I will definitely be returning to try other items off of the menu. Our service was also great.

Service was decent. Waitress was nice. Ambiance was nothing flashy, pretty straight forward, neighborhood diner vibes. Good bright lighting. Kinda loud, if you don't like that, might not be your cup of tea, but to me that's always a good thing in a restaurant, quiet restaurants freak me out. Drinks were ok, got an Old Fashioned. Dinner was ok. Had the Oysters and Guava Pork Belly for apps, our mains were the Strand Burger, Steak Frites, and Braised Beef Short Ribs, (they had sold out of the Duck Confit), and our dessert was the Chocolate olive oil cake. Everything was kinda eh, my Braised Beef Short Rib and the Steak were underseasoned. For the hype behind this place, was a bit dissapointed. But that's just my opinion.

I use to live part time in Charleston, South Carolina which sparked my love for food and restaurant artistry. The Strand reminds me a lot of some of the best dining places there. From the attentive and knowledgeable service, comforting and aesthetic decor, clean farm to table ingredients with chefs rotating menu, and delicious southern inspired cooking. Happy to be a regular here as you can try something new each time, and know it's always going to be good.

Went here on Feb 13 for an early Valentine's Day dinner. 8:30pm reservation, great service, and cozy atmosphere. Perfect date night location if you can get in or sit at the bar. Reservations strongly recommended since it is a small space. Food was fresh and delicious. Menu felt thoughtful and hand crafted. We ordered the guava pork belly, baked oysters, steak frites, and the mustard crusted salmon. Loved the house aioli that came with the fries. Really enjoyed everything and we will be back for another special occasion!

We went here this evening as a surprise date night dinner from my fiancé. Would highly recommend getting reservations as I'm glad we did. It was quite packed even for a Tuesday night. With it being a smaller place it still gave off elegance. I had an aperol spritz which was actually quite the pair with the braised beef short ribs - roasted carrot hummus, rapini, demi glace, za'atar). Would return again for another date night!

The Strand is a modern American restaurant with Southern inspiration that is on the Michelin guide and had been on my Yelp bookmarks for several years. Glad I finally made it. The restaurante is an extraterrestrial in the middle of Mills Ave, filled with Asian restaurantes and cafes, and bars. Prices are a little on the high side, but I felt it was fairly priced overall, especially for a restaurant of this caliber that's listed in the Michelin guide. Here's what we ordered: - Pork belly - cooked with a perfect balance of crisp and tender. The pork belly + cabbage + pistachio + tajin was SUPER flavorful, an unexpected combination that I absolutely loved. I would come back here only for this appetizer and a pint of beer. - Octopus entrée - their special for the night, charred just right, and paired with the glaze that surrounded it. - Snapper cakes - tasty, but I wish there had been more fish and less flour. I would've enjoyed more protein in the mix and some burnt edges for contrast. Ps: We didn't have space for dessert. But many people around us were ordering the key lime pie, which looked amazing. Service was great and the bathroom (though only one per gender) was fairly clean.

4.5 Stars The Strand is consistently one of the best restaurants in all of Orlando is a key part of the fabric that makes up the tapestry of Mills. They've been around for over a decade and consistently serve up farm-to-table dishes that are fresh and tasty. The menu changes up regularly and I've always enjoyed every offering. Occasionally, I find the steaks to be a bit bland and have to add salt; but I've honestly enjoyed every dish I've had here. Making reservations is the biggest pro-tip since there's pretty limited seating at dinner.

We ate at The Strand with friends and had a really great dinner. For me the salads were the stars. I loved them so much I was very tempted to try to get a reservation for the next night just to have salad! I had the fried fish. The fish was red fish and was very good. My husband had the butternut & burrata and a special which was mushrooms on house made focaccia and a vegetables plate. Our friends had the crispy brussel & apple / kale salad, the oysters on the half shell, the blackened red fish, and something else...I don't remember what it was. Everything was enjoyed and I can't wait to go back there for another delicious meal..

Went here for the first time to celebrate my birthday and absolutely loved it! The vibe is super cute and welcoming. We started with drinks, and to our surprise they had Portuguese beer--my husband was thrilled and ordered a few. The burrata salad was fresh and delicious, and while the pork chop special was a little tough, the flavor was still great. Everything else we tried was spot on. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to!

A Quiet, small restaurant with food that delivers BIG. I mean look at the photos. From start to finish, everything was 5 stars. Service was great, drinks were phenomenal, and the food was outstanding. I will say, this is one of the best filthy martinis I have had. The pork belly and oysters were a must order. Besides that, I truly will say try this place out. I am so happy I finally tried out this place... I want to go again!!

I ordered the Caesar salad. It was a huge portion with homemade, creamy dressing that was absolutely delicious. The waitress was super nice, and the inside of the restaurant was really pretty. Would definitely go back.

The Strand never misses. I go back time and time again and everything is exceptional. I keep coming back. I recently spent a birthday dinner here and I had all new items. Cheese board (a must) paired with a orange natural wine. Creole barbecue shrimp Guava pork belly Specials included: short rib, and white fish. It was the best meal I've had all year. Service is always A+, and the ambiance for me is so homey and intimate. All around, just everything I love about a place.

A true local gem. What feels like a little hole in the wall on mills was filled with absorbent delicious food! A group of 3 girls we we're able to get a table day of but there was also some bar seating available but highly recommend booking in advance. We started with the pork belly which was my absolute favorite thing on the menu it was delicious! Eating it with the slaw was a perfect combo of salty and sweet. The sauce under the fried mushrooms was excellent! A creamy delicious touch to the dish. We also had the Brussel sprout salad which was so good I didn't even have time to take a picture. It had fresh kale, apples, and a delicious dressing! I would definitely re order this as well. We ended with her duck and all were full and happy. The portions are good sized and the food came out very fast! I still loving going back here to try more dishes!

Southern comfort food as a general rule just doesn't sit well with me anymore and I'm going to be very transparent and bare my soul a little bit here but here goes . . . Ever since being on GLP1's, I've developed a really complicated relationship with comfort food. Foods that are rich, buttery, creamy or fatty now hit me completely differently than they used to. It's almost like my body immediately goes into shutdown mode afterwards. I feel heavy, exhausted and like I've instantly ballooned even if the portions themselves aren't massive. For the longest time I honestly thought it was simply the richness of the food itself but now I realize it's because my digestion just can't process heavier comfort foods the same way anymore. Suddenly... it all makes sense. The food itself here is VERY good. Properly seasoned, well prepared, beautifully presented... absolutely no complaints there whatsoever. I simply have to become more mindful and strategic now with my menu selections no matter WHERE I dine. I chose the Creekstone Farm's NY Strip with the fabulous bone marrow which I KNOW is supposed to be incredibly nutrient rich and good for you... but honestly... it just about put me under afterwards. This dinner happened thanks to Ronnald M. and his sister Teris and it was our pre-opera dinner outing before seeing the fabulous Merry Widow at the Dr. Phillips Center. The Monroe is honestly a very good pre-concert restaurant choice because of both the atmosphere and location... I'm just personally learning that this new GLP1 reality means I can't approach menus the way I used to anymore.

The entrance is open and bright, and the ambience is modern and chic. As we were to be seated, there was wall, art made out of corks which caught my eye. We ask to be seated by the window as it has a beautiful view of the lake. We agreed by a wonderfully awesome waiter, who explained to us the menu and the wine selection. At first glance, we thought the wall taps were for beer, but in fact - duh - they are wine taps. Hence the name 60 vines... We were very pleasantly surprised. I am a white wine lover, and they had ample selection. They have a great selection of reds as well. I will say my favorite was the Albariño, followed by the four white blend... we had the zucchini chips which were light flaky and had the right amount of spice and sweet. Couldn't stop eating them. I enjoyed the egg white frittata which was topped with mushrooms and goat cheese. They could've gone a little heavier on the goat cheese, but otherwise the dish was phenomenal. My boyfriend had the eggs Benedict. I can't remember what it was called, but the poached eggs were perfect on top of a crispy croissant with herb hashbrowns, that were outstanding. I think he may have licked the dish clean... I will say we could've stopped there and left very happy, but we decided to indulge a little in dessert and a dessert adult beverage. I must say these were slamdunks. The espresso martini was on point. The other chocolate drink which I can't recall its name either had like a dust of chocolate and ice on the rim. It had liquor 43 in it and was just stupid good. But the overall winning dish was the toffee pull apart bread that was listed as a brunch item and is undoubtedly the best dessert I think I have ever had. It's like a cinnamon roll and monkey bread had a baby - It's a crispy croissant with a gooey bottom and crispy top that was moderately sweet perfection.

Let's focus on the positives first: the atmosphere is incredibly fun and the live music Saturday night was a perfect touch at the bar. There were plenty of fun activities for the kids and there was an all-you-can-eat buffet for the kids with fried chicken and shrimp, macaroni and cheese, fries, and red velvet cupcakes. $25 is a deal if your child would chow down on shrimp, but it might not be a great deal if your child is usually full after four bites. Our server was absolutely fantastic, friendly and very attentive. We started off the dinner with some fantastic deviled eggs and a lemon cello cocktail. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was really disappointed with the tiny, overcooked shrimp and crawfish that accompanied the slightly bland grits. The shrimp on the kids buffet was at least four times larger than the sad little shrimp in my dish. I think the sausage was cut into smaller chunks just so it wouldn't be so obvious how small the shrimp was. My husband didn't love his heirloom tomato salad and said the Wagyu appetizer was disgusting. Dessert was mediocre. The macarons that accompanied my crème brûlée were stale and chewy. This is a fun spot for a drink and appetizer, but I would skip eating dinner at Highball & Harvest.

Brunch Review 2026!…read more It's a Saturday in late April 2026 and the Orlando Magic are taking on the #1 rated Detroit Pistons! My brother and I deliberate days before on meeting up and with little hesitation, we opted for the Ravenous Pig! Securing a table reservation we instead opted to sit on the pub side where the TVs are. Soon after sitting down, we were greeted by Christina who was our server for the afternoon! Now this is Brunch Mode at the Ravenous Pig with a brunch style menu and beautiful rays on Sunshine which can feel quite different if you're used to having meals or drinks here for dinner where it can be quite busier and a different vibe! Today's visit was comfortable in the pub, lite in the dining room floor and nearly full outside in the beer garden. I settled in with the current version of the Gin and Jam! It tends to change as products become available with the underlying truth being a lite and refreshing cocktail to start with. This version is well done overall! Food wise we started with the Croquettes which had a sausage in them which brought good flavor paired with the crunchy exterior and white sauce on the plate resulted in an appetizing dish. Continuing on, the Sparkling Tea on menu is fantastic! As a side beverage or even mocktail form, it's a great Bev. We went with that and with the Magic game about to start, I went with the IT GOES TO ELEVEN cocktail! Boozy, Bright and Veracious! With these drinks in hand, we decided to move forward with more food and after consulting with Christina, we went with the Huckleberry pancake and the miso butter ribs. Without a doubt, the Huckleberry pancake was the standout star of the two dishes! A light pancake with great flavor and depth that doesn't fill you up but is a great sweeter dish that I can see Incorporated with a more savory brunch item like bacon and eggs as an example. Overall a great time for brunch! Shout out to Brian, Costa (the GOAT) and Scott for keeping it real and just being great individuals overall!

The cauliflower appetizer missed the mark a bit for me, the pieces were a little too big and came out slightly undercooked. I love that they have a quicker option out back with the beer garden, you can't go wrong!
