I had a wonderful evening at Lorelei in the Mills 50 area. They created an amazing atmosphere between elegant and relaxed. Perfect for a date night, casual hangout with friends and a great place for a solo glass on the patio. Their wine selection is delightful with familiar favorite and unexpected bottles. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and happy to make recommendations for your next bite or sip. We sat at the patio and it was great way to end our day. I can see why people are saying it feels like Europe. The flat breads and wine were wonderful but the desserts stole the show. Don't skip out on them to end your night out.

Now that it's perfect patio weather, Lorelei has the best patio in Orlando. On a balmy or cool night, it honestly feels like you're in cute coastal town. I've come here twice to enjoy some wine with the girls and it's been lovely each time! They have a great selection of wines by the glass and by the bottle. There's also some small plates and desserts if you're feeling peckish. This is the perfect place to grab after-dinner drinks and end the night with conversation. I've tried the Chocolate Mousse and Charcuterie Board. The Charcuterie Board is lovely! It comes with such an assortment of meats, pickles, and nuts -- it was perfect for nibbling. The Chocolate Mousse was a bit disappointing; it was more of a chocolate pudding and lacked that rich and creamy chocolate decadence that I expect from a dessert. I enjoyed the cherries that came with it though. Service was very prompt and friendly! If you're looking to sit inside, I recommend coming in groups of 2, 5, or 6 (and you should make a reservation ahead of time). The outdoor area can seat groups of 3-4 without reservations. We were able to walk in and grab tables outside pretty easily on a weekend. Overall, highly recommend! This spot is a gem.

Galentines was such a delight to finish our night here. The place was so chic and open. The vibes were perfect for glass of wine and dessert. Which what we all enjoyed. I personally loved the attentiveness of the staff during our time there. She even read my mind a bit and offered their non-alcoholic wines. I tried the de blanc NA wine. It was delicious and refreshing. I highly recommend this establishment.

Pretty, elegant little spot. Made me feel like I was back in Europe. Nicely curated wine list. The snacks looked good but we didn't eat. Lovely decor and vibe. I want to come back and try the brunch here. The server informed me that they offer various classes throughout the month. One was needlepoint, for example. I am keeping on the lookout for a class to attend here. Fun fact: it's across the street from Spiral Circle, so if you enjoy all things Woo Woo (think tarot cards and crystals) like I do, you can check them out before or after your glass of wine at Lorelei. I also LOVED the easy parking. There's a lot in the back to the left of the entrance and street parking, too.

Lorelei has quickly become one of my favorite new wine bars! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. They take a team-based approach to service--there are no assigned servers--which creates a really unique and collaborative vibe. My friend and I sampled a few different white wines, and the staff was so kind and helpful in guiding us to the perfect pairings. I love all the wines we tried. We ordered the Bruschetta di "Ricotta," which tasted incredibly fresh--the vegan "ricotta" was a standout. We also tried one of the vegan flatbreads, and it was absolutely delicious. One of the highlights of the night was when the chef came out to chat with us and even offered a complimentary dessert. My friend is vegan and was thrilled with all the options, and as someone who isn't vegan, I genuinely loved every dish we tried. I'll definitely be back! Thanks for a great girls night!

I love this intimate wine bar located just off of Colonial. A blend of the old world with a touch of coastal boho design the interior is stunning. I was surprised to learn that the building is completely new. It resembles a remodeled bungalow - which is reflective of many of the houses in the immediate area which further adds to its charm. Parking is sufficient and you shouldn't be forced to find parking on the street. It is in close proximity to other popular eateries such as EdoBoy and Tori Tori. My friend and I stopped by to get a quick bite to eat before a night out. We enjoyed non-alcoholic white wine, the beef carpaccio, charcuterie board, and a small dessert. Everything was well-presented and delicious. No complaints and definitely had a wow factor in line with the ambience. People were smartly dressed as we were. Stylish even. The space did fill up pretty quickly but we were able to have a nice conversation. I wouldn't mind coming back to enjoy a small bite and drink with friends. Definitely a yes for a date. It's really charming and great if you want to spend time having a great conversation. It is one of my favorite places to spend time in Orlando thus far. I most definitely will be back. There is outdoor seating which is pleasantly appointed with bistro tables that can sit anywhere from 2-4 people. This is not a venue for large parties. I would love to keep this place a secret but why not share. Maybe, they will make a few more places like this in Orlando.

The inside and outside of Lorelei... beautiful! It feels like I'm transported outside of the country on vacation. Such a nice spot for dates or girls nights! The server was very attentive to our needs. We all loved the flatbread. I got the Fig and Duck flatbread and it was amazing! Finished in seconds. I will say they do have a cake cutting fee so if you bring a cake for birthdays, they will charge $25.

Lorelei is a vibe!! What a good spot to hang out with a friend, date, or small hang. I would even come back and read a book with a glass of wine. They have an interesting selection of wines you don't typically see other places, and the staff were all knowledgeable on the selections and happy to give recommendations. We didn't try any food, but their menu and seasonal items seem interesting! Will definitely return again and recommend to everyone!

The ambiance is absolutely adorable -- intimate and stylish, perfect for a relaxed evening. Their wine selection was great my favorite is the "Green Eyes" which is a green apple white wine. An added bonus is that they let you sample wines before you commit to a glass or bottle. The food is good but pricey and the portions are on the smaller side so I'd recommend grabbing a bite beforehand if you're really hungry. My favorite dish was the Egg and Nduja Sausage Flatbread. Overall, they have a lovely vibe and they're a great place to go out with your girls and have a wine night or if you wanna start here and bar hop too

I went with a friend after work. It was the perfect choice. The servers were extremely welcoming. Inside is very intimate and we felt would get crowded quickly because it seems currently be a popular spot, We sat outside. The decor is well done. Our server made great suggestions and recommended wonderful pairings. We ordered the cheese board, the charcuterie board and the blue crab cannoli. It was well presented and described by our server. For my wine I loved the Vinho Verde and drank it for the entire evening. It's a pretty awesome spot and will be back.

Lorelei is a stunning new addition to the Mills 50 neighborhood and probably one of the prettiest places in Orlando. A common phrase I keep hearing people say when they describe this wine bar is that they "instantly feel transported to Europe" and I have to agree. Their outdoor patio with the umbrellas and fountain is such a vibe and I look forward to enjoying evenings sipping on bubbly (once the weather cools down). For my first visit, I met up with a friend and we were lucky enough to score the last 2-top inside. It was around 5:30pm on Wednesday and the bar and other tables were already full. The indoor seating was a bit more limited than I expected, and they only have 2 larger tables that seat more than 2 people. So be sure to get there early when they first open at 4pm if you want to score a larger table. I have to say that the tiny tables were pretty cramped and close together - I almost couldn't fit to sit down in my chair, but we made it work. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. I asked about the Stift Klosterneuburg sparkling wine from Austria and she perfectly described the tasting notes, and it sounded right up my alley. It was light & refreshing and I really enjoyed it. Now onto the food... I would not suggest coming here super hungry or expecting a full dinner (unless you're ready to drop some big $$$). The plates are VERY small and priced around $22 ea. My friend and I shared the blue crab cannolis (they are mini sized), the beef carpaccio, and the scallop crudo. While everything was enjoyable and visually appealing, it definitely left us wanting more. But at $70 for 3 tiny plates, I just could not justify the price. This is a great spot for happy hour, pre-dinner drinks, and just a little nibble. I'll keep that in mind the next time I go. P.S. There is a good amount of free parking in their lot behind the building

What a vibe! The space is absolutely stunning. I love all of the little details chosen for this place. The indoor area is quite intimate but it has a spacious outdoor patio. We sat outside on the patio as inside seating was full but after a short wait, the hostess came out to get us and bring us to a table inside - we loved that! The wine selection was interesting and thoughtful! We were able to try some unique wines that we hadn't experienced before. The food menu is small plates, tapa style, so if you're hungry -- I would suggest getting a couple of flat breads and a salad. We tried the fig and duck prosciutto flatbread which was so tasty! We also tried the fig burrata salad which was divine. The server suggested we try the blue crab cannolis and although they were interesting they were not our favorite. Our server both inside and out were super friendly and kind. We loved that they were able to transition our tables flawlessly without having us close out at one before moving. Overall a fantastic experience and I can't wait to come back!

5 Star update to include their incredible new food program! (Get the carrots and red cabbage salad…read moreand the pan con tomate STAT.) Quicksand is a natural wine bar that will change the way Orlandoans expect to feel at a bar. Pro-tip: ask the staff for suggestions and settle in! It's no secret that I've become a big fan of natural wine in the past few years, and that is 100% due to Golden Hour - a wine shop in Baldwin Park that I randomly discovered on their first day open. Heather, who brought us Golden Hour, opened Quicksand in late 2024 for those of us wondering why Orlando doesn't have a great wine bar like the ones we've seen in cities around the world for decades. ***Finding the bar: Quicksand is located directly next to Educe Salon (across from Black Bean Deli). It does not have a big sign, but it's the first door you'll see as you walk from the parking lot. ***Parking: Did I mention the large parking lot? There's plenty of parking available there, or on street behind the bar. ***Service style: As you walk in, head to the part of the bar closest to the entrance where you can get recs from their staff and don't have to try to bully your way through folks sitting at the bar to get their attention. ## Did I mention that everything here is intentional? From that simple detail that makes ordering another glass MUCH easier than flagging someone down in the middle of the bar, to the position of the speakers... *** The Food: Chef Leah Cordova has crafted a seasonal menu at Quicksand, currently consisting of sandwiches, small plates, and some heartier dishes. All of them have a focus on quality ingredients with many sourcing their components from local farms or special producers. My faves include: - Pan con tomate: The tomato here is actually a combination of fresh slices of small tomatoes as well as another preparation that adds a wonderful tang. It's truly a special version of this small dish. - Whichever salad they are featuring, but special mention to the carrot and red cabbage salad that has just the perfect amount of fennel! - The white bean dish. I didn't catch the name, but it's a winner! - Cacio e pepe: This is exactly the rich, creamy dish you are dreaming of. - Whichever ice cream they are featuring (Chef Leah also operated Sweet Thyme, her ice-cream project with inventive flavors. Faves include the black pepper and date as well as the carrot cake) ***Ambiance: As you walk in you'll feel enveloped in a warm glow of subtle sconces and feel immediately comfortable. It feels like Quicksand has always been here. It's unstuffy, unfussy, and so inviting it has me researching squatter's rights... The music will sound loud at first, but then you'll realize you don't have to raise your voice at all to talk to people. This is because the speakers have been built into the furniture low and towards the floor. INTENTIONALITY. Besides the volume, the playlist has been painstakingly curated by the team so that you'll enjoy the music, but not quite be able to place the artist. ***The WHY And now, my favorite part. The wall of farmers/winemakers. Someone on staff filled me in to the fact that these are portraits of the various human beings who farm, harvest, and create the wines you can get at the bar. These are actual people, not giant corporations. And that same staff member reminded me that these individual producers are farmers for 11 months and 2 weeks of the year, and wine makers for only 2 weeks. None of these people are household names. None of them are in it for the money. They are in it to produce beautiful wine the way it has been produced since the beginning of wine-making: with minimal intervention, meaning no insane additives that give me headaches; and no mass production. The thing I've come to love about "natural" wine is that it is intensely principled. Quicksand is what happens when *every single link* in the supply chain (Farmer/Producer; Importer; Distributor; and Wine Bar) prioritizes principles over profits. And you can feel it the moment you walk in. This is not a corporate chain, nor will you find multiple locations and franchises. Not only is the wine list filled with some of the most incredible bottles I've had the pleasure of trying (many of which you can't get anywhere else in Florida), but the staff truly believes in the power of creating this special "third space" for a community to gather around good, ethically-sourced wine. I can't wait until they start serving bites alongside the wine! (Someone told me the small menu will consist of cheeses, charcuterie, focaccia, chips, etc.) SALUD!

The staff was very knowledgeable about all of the different wines and helped to select the best glass for what I was in the mood for that evening. The bar was very clean and there is a lot more space then what you see when you first walk in. It was all very clean and modern looking inside. Looking forward to my next trip in.

There were about 16 of us in the group, and when I first arrived, it was pretty packed -- I almost didn't get a seat. They have comfortable seating and fans on the walls, which helped keep things cool and cozy. It's definitely a great spot to get together after work and wind down with friends, coworkers, or even new people. Trivia Night was a blast! The host kept everyone entertained, engaged, and laughing throughout the evening. It felt very well-organized and had a nice community feel -- I'd absolutely go again for that experience alone. A few things did surprise me, though. Since it's a wine bar, I expected mostly alcoholic drinks, but their Instagram made it seem like they also offered non-alcoholic options. When I asked for a soda, I was told they only serve alcohol -- no soft drinks, no mocktails. So if you're not drinking, plan to bring your own or grab something before you go. Later in the night, I got hungry. Their Instagram also gave me the impression that they served food, but they actually don't -- the food comes from a food truck around the back. When I went to order, the lady running the truck told me, "I'd rather sell out...," which threw me off. I wasn't sure what she meant, but it came across as rude or maybe even personal, which was disappointing since I was ready to buy something. That said, I don't hold that against Grape and The Grain itself. The staff inside were kind and welcoming, the crowd was friendly, and the overall vibe was great. For the atmosphere, comfort, and fun trivia experience, they get a full 5 stars from me. I'll definitely be back -- next time I'll just eat beforehand and bring my own non-alcoholic drink!

Came in late night just to check out their $10 Monday martinis. There was limited options to just a plain or dirty vodka or gin martini. Blue cheese stuffed olives were a dollar a piece and tasted great but don't think I needed the 3 that was automatically given. Getting the check seemed to be a task, no server in sight, and had to grab another employee to ask for it From just ordering waters and martinis, service was quite lacking. My dates pasta was also very good, the pesto sauce was zesty and complimented it well. And I really like the olive oil cake with mascarpone, super light and perfectly sweet. The very minor issues were that the fried chicken was pretty deeply fried and way harder than expected, which I don't mind but may not be your thing. Devil's food cake at the bottom of the affogato was also not as sweet as I would have liked. Overall a really enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend.
