We are OBSESSED with drunken monkey. It all started when we hit the drive thru and tried the gluten-free apple pie ANZAC cookie. Like what even is that? I'll tell you, it's delicious. This opened Pandora's box of delicious gluten free options that lay inside. The following day we went for the mini breakfast burrito (not GF) and egg and cheese everything bagel (GF and SO GOOD). We also got two iced lattes: Mojo Jojo and Tantric Maya. Both with plant-based milks. I loved the Tantric, but honestly they were both great, who am I to choose a favorite? Prices are reasonable, which is a wonderful contribution to the community. I will come back every single time I am in town (and multiple times at that). read more

I finally got to try it out! It was actually pretty busy when I arrived at 10am but the staff was very quick to help me. The vibes were laidback, it gives dive bar/chilling in a friends basement in the 90s vibe lol I ordered the Patty Melt Impossible Burger (V) $13.99, it comes with potato salad and the Vegan Baby Breakfast Burrito $4.20, it comes with salsa. The salsa and potato salad were delicious! When they say baby burrito, they do mean it lol It was the size of my hand, I do feel like it's perfect for a snack and/or a child. They could use more salt and I wish you had the option to change the bread type. I'm not a huge fan of rye bread but it's not the end of the world. Other than that, super yummy! This is one of Orlando's hidden gems. A coffee shop that's serene & quiet. One of those old school coffee shops where you could actually get some work done. My boys love the snickerdoodle cookie- I always get the Moko Jono coffee, with a shot of espresso. It's their dairy-free version of their popular Mojo Jojo. Every once in a while, I will also indulge with a "vegan baby" breakfast burrito. We sat in today, and the chef brought the order to our table. I've been to the drunken monkey several times now and it's always a big hit. The mojo JoJo is a must have for me. A sweet iced coffee to pair with my brunch. The vibes inside are nice, they have several different art pieces framed and hanging on the wall for sale and comfy seats with space to sit and chat with friends. I made my first visit to Drunken Monkey and had a great experience! Not too many local coffee shops have a drive thru, so it was really cool to have that option. Service was amazing. This is one of those places that I have been meaning to visit for YEARS. Well I finally made it in and liked the experience. We only went for some coffee but the food smelled really good in there and they had a decent selection of options to choose from on their menu. I noted a mix of baked goods wrapped up at the counter for purchase as well. The place had a comfortable vibe and reminded me of some of the northern type coffee places. I tried an iced Moko latte with an extra shot of espresso, because on its own it's made with iced coffee. As a regular espresso drinker I was worried it would taste too weak on its own. It's the vegan version of their Mojo, and I was impressed with the creaminess and flavor of the vegan sweetened condensed milk. I also got the lil' sumthing breakfast wrap. It's priced for the size, which would be a generous street taco amount of food, and very tasty! The wrap was pressed with a nice crust to it and it came with a side of salsa. I can best describe the vibe inside as indie/grunge, but also local and welcoming. read more

The medium 16 ounce size comes with 3 shots of espresso so we opted for 2 shots only. The Royale panini impossible burger was delicious and nice and hot off the press! I didn't want the vegan mayo but it comes premade with it. The yankee biscuit with egg, cheese and vegan sausage was also amazing and hot. Only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is the ability not to remove certain items and the music seemed loud to us and was like grunge which isn't for us. What a great place to catch up with some friends! Parking is a bit limited but it was fine on a Sunday a little after 10am. The space is not big and not small, so I was impressed with the amount of seating available. It is an order at the counter, pick up your coffee when they call your name, but they will bring your food to you. I ordered the Tantric Mayan latte and the Tuna Melt. I've been on a tuna kick lately and this melt was great! Loved the panini sandwich style and how flavorful it was. If there is an option for a larger side of the pickled veg, I would be getting more than what I got. So tasty! The latte was incredibly smooth and delicious and as advertised "Espresso with steamed milk and a blend of spiced ground chocolate, cinnamon, almond, and vanilla." I thought maybe the cinnamon would be a bit overpowering but it is just perfect. Will definitely be ordering again! It felt like a warm hug on a chilly day. I don't drive past this place too much but now when I do, I will certainly swing in. As a matter of fact, just writing about my experience is making want to go there later today! read more

The vegan gluten free herbivore bagel sandwich was more like a toastie (and I can tell they are using O'doughs bagel thins). The egg seemed premade but it was still a nice tasting sandwich but for around $10 I could get the ingredients from the Sprouts across the street and make my own My boyfriend got the turkey pesto which tasted great but again was small. So you might leave here hungry. However I can absolutely recommend their guava passion fruit smoothie that was a 10/10!!! They have an awesome selection of unique vegan baked goods. The Drunken Monkey is right on Bumby Ave, corner of Stanley St, next to Beefy King. I was surprised by this small restaurant. It is family owned and has been operating for 17 years; something they're doing right. I called and placed my order by phone, as I could not figure out how to place an online order; no big deal. The young woman that answered the phone was very polite and sounded so sweet and friendly. She helped me with my order and suggested alternatives to what I wanted, because what I asked for was not on their menu anymore. I ended up with a Royale Panini which is very tasty and a Turmeric Latte (Golden Milk). I got the Turmeric Latte because I've been meaning to try it and for its potential health benefits. Now, that Royale Panini was stupendous, it was done almost to perfection; it came with a little side of potato salad, which was enough and tasty except that it needed a little bit of salt. Order was done fast. I went in to pick up my order and order was ready for me to pick up and go. The staff is great. If a black T-shirt and black pants are your employers dress code I'm not mad at ya especially when your servers have such a big smile. This makes for even cooler vibe here. The tunes they played were island perfect and enjoyed while there. I requested their house coffee and I ordered a Turkey pesto sandwich. Now I'm a coffee snob and the coffee was okay for my preference but I like a bolder cup of coffee.They did have adequate add ins like sugar and cream available . That sandwich was delicious. It came cut in half as I requested and it had some wonderful potato salad next to it. I definitely would order that again. 5 Star update for the best local drive-thru in town with GREAT burritos and coffee that hits the spot (so skip the big chain coffee shops, plz!) Drunken Monkey (DM for short in my fam) is conveniently located right on Bumby Ave. They have a drive-thru, so I regularly call ahead to order a couple baby egg & cheese burritos (you can get vegan or vegetarian) and an iced coffee (the mojo jojo if you're wanting a sweet treat!) and then pull around to the drive-thru. I also love their vegan pastries inside. Inside- this place is that quirky, little coffee shop you've always seen in independent movies but didn't think existed outside of Austin or Seattle. Forget the super modern, austere spots you see on Instagram- this is a full 90's era coffee shop vibe. The ambiance is great- people working on their laptops, knitting groups in the corner, unique local art on the walls. The first time I had a coffee at DM I struck up a conversation with a few guys about places we've traveled, capoeira (Brazilian dance martial arts), and the city. The seats and couches are close together, but that adds to the appeal- Who will you meet today? Oh yeah, and the coffee, tea, and drinks are delicious! This is a favorite of my vegetarian and vegan friends, and with good reason! The vegan burritos and deserts will make you vow to give up meat (until you smell the roast beef aroma wafting over from Beefy King next door). Can I just say that I always wanted to stop in here because the name is eye catching and it's a drive thru shop! Not gonna lie it does look hella sketchy and hopefully, one day, they'll upgrade the concrete in the drive thru as well as the exterior of the shop. Lots of parking. Dope graffiti art on the wall. The inside feels like you stepped back into the 80s but with a twist of Grandma's furniture. All it needs is the plastic on the chairs and we're good to go =) It was raining when I was there and so it was dark but a cozy dark. I could easily just sit here and let the time go by. The food here is vegan/vegetarian so I opted out for the breakfast wrap called Toadelly Eggselant wrap w/ a side of salsa which in my opinion was the best. this is a great place to pick up lunch and study! i don't think i've ever been in there where the coffee bar isn't busy. the atmosphere is great and it's relaxed and fun without being too loud or too quiet. the coffee is enjoyable and i like trying the different varieties. very vegan friendly with both the coffee and the food! they always have multiple rotating specials that are roughly half vegan and there's a lot of already vegan items on the menu. i like to try the specials because they're always coming up with something new and creative (although the philly is arguably my favorite). additionally, they have great nonvegan and vegan desserts! everything is clearly labelled and they have a fair amount of options. the baked goods are delicious and i would consider coming there just for the bakery. i love coming here to eat and hang out for a while and i'll continue to do so in the future! i definitely recommend it for studying or just hanging out with friends. read more

I have to admit I totally stopped here based on the name of the cafe. I found their menu very appealing as they had a variety of vegan, vegetarian, and non-vegetarian options. I tried their Witchcraft panini, which consisted of curried sweet potatoes, goat cheese, and pesto. Also, it comes with what seemed to be a yummy side of mashed potatoes. While visiting Orlando, I wanted coffee and decided to try something different and found Drunken Monkey Coffee Bar. Their location eclectic with plenty of seating, tons of parking and the service was good. However.... I bought a coffee and a chai tea ahead of a long drive home and when I stopped for gas they were both promptly thrown away. They were terrible. The chai was boring. It lacked sweetness, texture and kind of tasted like milk and cinnamon. The coffee was blah. I'm hoping it was an isolated incident, maybe with a new staff member and that this is not their typical quality. There was nothing about either drink that makes me want to go back or recommend them. Because when we are charged good money, we expect good product and experiences in return. I'm sad about that because I love to support local businesses. read more

Was in the area and decided to try this place because my husband told me how delicious it was. I got a lavender latte, decaf, which is so delicious! I got it with soy milk as well. I also got a small egg and cheese burrito which they gave with a medium heat salsa. I didn't see any cheese in my burrito, but it was good otherwise, hot and fresh. This seems like a wonderful little hidden gem and I'm excited to try more. The girl at the window was super sweet and very helpful and didn't hesitate when I asked for a menu.
