I stopped in on a Saturday during the Vintage Flea Market that was being hosted in the parking lot. After perusing the booths outside, I decided to stop in and check out the place. It's a clean, minimalist space that is well lit with natural lighting and seems to be a chill place to sit and do work. When I came around 1-2 PM, they seemed to still have a good number of their donuts still in stock. (Their sign on the door notes they are open per their hours, unless they sell out of everything sooner.) My dad ordered a coffee to go and I ordered a matcha latte without sweetener and almond milk, plus a honey and sea salt cragel to go. Service was quick. Matcha latte was good. I liked the cragel - it had a good texture and wasn't too sweet. My dad wasn't super fond of his coffee, but it was okay. (He said it wasn't the worst, but it wasn't the best coffee he's ever had.) If there isn't an event going on, they have their own parking lot. Otherwise, you are allowed to park in the school lot if school is not in session. I decided to check out The Salty Donut since I drive by it almost every day, and I'm glad I did. The overall vibe is great, super clean and inviting inside. They offer a wide variety of unique donuts that all looked really tempting. The prices are a bit on the higher side, even for specialty donuts, but the quality definitely shows. I tried the cinnamon crunch donut, and it was excellent, perfectly flavored, super moist and soft with a slight cakey texture. You can tell everything is made fresh. This location needs help. I placed an online order for pickup the next morning, knowing that I will have a busy work day. When I arrived at the pick up window, I was told my order wasn't ready and to come in and they will make it. No problem. When I got on I thought she would make my order, but she ended up forgetting and making a slew of orders. I could see they were having a lot of issues. A lot of people didnt get their full orders and the staff seemed untrained. I decided to just have them cancel my order and return my money. But it seems like the person up front didn't know how to do that. It was all just a hot mess and knew they would just forget. I ended up leaving and reaching out to the main office/email and they were able to refund my money. Came here a second time and it was still.chaotix so we just ended up leaving. read more

I absolutely love The Salty Doughnut! The doughnut shop is very cute with indoor and outdoor seating. I am Gluten free and so happy that they offer a gluten free option. The staff is always very friendly, and there is a ton of coffee and drink options. I do wish that they offered a gluten free bread for breakfast sandwiches, but the all the gluten free doughnuts I have had are amazing. They offer delivery as well as pick up or dine in. I cannot express enough how wonderful this shop is. The donuts are amazing. Each one is a little carefully curated flavor adventure. The banoffee is my favorite by miles, but who could resist a banana cream, toffee drizzle and graham cracker crumble enrobing a truly luscious donut?!?! Besides the amazing baked goods and coffee it is worth noting that this space has its own parking lot, has outdoor seating on Corrine, a rarity, and is incredibly clean and organized always. They are kid friendly and super efficient. All of that is great, what really sets them apart (besides banoffee) is the staff. This is such a welcoming establishment well lit and clean and all the employees seemed to be in a good mood and happy to help. The lady out on the register who's name I forgot :( sounded proud to work there and was very knowledgeable. We had The Coquito donut and the guava and cheese donut. They were sweet art, beautiful looking and delicious. The coquito one was creamy and smooth and had a slight crunch that contrasted with the soft sweet swirl at the top. The guava and cheese was one of the best donuts I have had in a long time! The inside was a perfect mix of guava and cheese with a sweet tangy aromatic accent but with the saltines of the cheese the glaze on the outside was very silky and it had this little pastry squares on top that added a nice crunch to it. The cold coquito late was sweet and refreshing with a nice cinnamon finish. The mocha late was ok not bad but nothing to write home about. Next time will try something different. They have really cool merch for sale and some new offerings for breakfast that I look forward to trying in the future. I got the pistachio cannoli donut and the apple butter and teddy graham cold foam latte. Wanted to try some fun flavor profiles I wouldn't normally pick. Was pleasantly surprised with the fluffy texture of the donut complimenting the creamy inner with crunchy nuts and chocolate chips. It really tasted like a cannoli but with a donut outer. Would definitely get this again. Enough for two meals really. The cold foam was so scrumptious in the drink as well. Tasted just like teddy grahams but wish there was actual teddy grahams crumbles more on top. The apple butter was good but you really had to find it in the drink to get any. Upon entering the building you are greeted with warm smiles and quick service. There is seating in the inside and out. This location is very dog friendly. They have bowls and a spiket for you to get water for your animals. Really enjoyed the donut and drink I got today. These donuts are HUGE! roughly $4-5 per donut, which isn't bad at all, esp since the flavors were extraordinary. Tbh i forgot to take a pic of the menu, but that's besides the point. We tried the blueberry maple donut & it was soooooo yummy and perfectly sweet. It wasn't too doughy or cakey either. The service was our wonderful AH staff so of course I'm biased :) anyway! I've been coming here for years, and it truly never disappoints. They always have their staple menu items (including solid vegan options) but I love that they also mix in creative specials that keep things interesting. There's some inside seating but their outdoor space is wonderful too with a mixed of covered and not. This time I had to try the one day only caviar donut. I'm guessing it was inspired by the recent viral McDonald's caviar moment, and honestly, it was worth every penny. Salty, sweet, indulgent, and just the right amount of over the top without being gimmicky. Since my last visit, they've added croissant bagels, which are basically croissants shaped like bagels, and they are delicious. Flaky, buttery, and the perfect hybrid situation. Their lattes are consistently great too. I always get the staple cereal milk latte, but this time I also tried their special menu apple butter latte, which was cozy and perfectly balanced. It's one of those places that manages to feel both reliable and exciting at the same time, which is probably why I keep coming back. While parking is limited, the location is great. Even parking a on the street or a bit away means you can check out the local stores (like the New Romantics books store across the street). read more

I love Salty and come here every so often. The donuts are always amazing. But this time, I came about an hour before closing. A little more. There was no one, which was expected because it was so late in the night. I waited less than a minute and finally an employee appeared from the bathroom holding trash bags, to reiterate..from the bathroom. She then greats me, takes my order, puts on one glove, grabs my donut, takes off the glove and proceeds to touch all over the box that now has food in it. All of this was done without washing her hands after taking our bathroom trash!! Very disgusting and unsanitary. read more

I was shockingly surprised that the buffalo chicken sandwich was my favorite. The avocado toast could've used a little more flavor with the guac but overall the presentation was so pretty. What a treat! We popped into The Salty while waiting for ramen and grabbed some doughnuts to bring home. Cute spot, big doughnuts, and friendly staff! (Same with the Tampa location, we went there too haha). We ended up leaving with three doughnuts because we could not narrow it down. They all seemed so good. Okay so: The pistachio cannoli was hefty. We didn't expect that much filling, we loved it. The chocolate on the ends was so good I wish it had more. It wasn't overly sweet which was great. The guava and cheese was maybe my favorite. It's hard to choose, but it was the one I ate the most of. The ratio of guava and cheese was perfect and the pastry crust on top was a lovely addition. Butterbeer was a delightful surprise. The filling running through the pastry dough was so nice and the icing was a mixture of butterscotch and caramel, just like Butterbeer. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating; and I love how lively it is. The donuts here are huge and amazing. They're everything you could ask for in a donut -- fluffy, soft, absolutely huge, and delicious. I love all the fun flavors, and appreciate that they always have at least one gluten-free and one vegan option. Their donuts pair well with a black coffee. My one small critique is that their donuts are often too sweet; it's hard for me to finish one on my own.
