Friday, June 5, 2026 (8:00pm) - It's National Donut Day! I meant to visit a donut establishment earlier in the day, then the day got away from me. I remembered Donut King is open late (until 9:00pm today), and I am glad I took a longer drive. I didn't know they were giving away a free donut today. I truly felt blessed (lol). I went in for a glazed twist donut that's combined with regular Donut dough and chocolate dough. Walking out with a free vanilla iced donut was a great way to celebrate National Donut Day. While it was obvious they were VISITED today, and the plaza isn't the cutest, the Donut quality is great, and the customer service I received today was PHENOMENAL. The gentleman with the bandana was extremely kind. read more

Been coming to Donut King off and on for the past 11 years I've lived in Orlando. Fancy donut places come and go, but Donut King is forever. Consistent in quality like a blue chip stock that you hold onto for 35 years. Ambiance is great. Storefront is in a dingy strip mall, but inside is a wall of donuts that looks like the Great Wall of China in donut form. A formidable display of deliciousness that will make your day better from the very start. Service is equally as formidable. There are always a ton of people in line, but they serve their way through them very quickly and efficiently. Very nice folks, and they always seem to have everything in stock. The donuts themselves are the best part. Soft, airy, topped with the perfect amount of toppings, filled with the perfect amount of fillings, and there are a few truly unique offerings that are very intriguing. You just can't go wrong. Overall, other gourmet offerings are out there, and they're pretty good, too, but Donut King is my original, and quite frankly, if I'm driving out to the coast for a long day of birding, I would pick the King over any of those other places anyway, read more

Pros: Great ambiance. A wall full of delicious donuts of dozens of varieties was quite the sight. Service was very good. Very nice folks that process a lot of customers very timely. The donuts were so good. In a few ways, some of the best in Orlando! Cons: Get didn't have any coffee ready when we showed up. Only con. At least they offered to brew a new pot for us. Tips: Any variety is good. I've never had a bad one here. read more

Donut King never fails to deliver. They have an incredible variety of fresh donuts made daily, and anytime I place an order for pickup, I leave completely satisfied. The donuts are generous in size and always served nice and warm. It is easily one of my favorite go to spots whenever I need a sweet treat read more

They have updated their menu and it looks GREAT! I love the sprinkles decor everywhere as that really does scream donut to me. The king donut is a favorite for us as they supply Universal Studios with all the giant Simpson donuts that they charge over $20 for at City Walk or in the park and in the store that donut is $5.99. And you can get it topped with whatever you want if you come early enough. I love the creativity of the donuts here at Donut King. My favorite is a Reeces pieces donut or an apple fitter. The service is always quick and friendly here but there is like NO seating inside. Maybe two tables. This is a better situation if you just grab and go. Wonderful donuts every single time. Being able to drizzle peanut butter on anything is a real game changer. Donut King really is just that... the KING of Donuts! read more

I love this place. They donuts are always so good whenever somebody asks about donuts I definitely recommend here because they always have such a variety. Is something for everybody if you haven't ever had them definitely check them out... the service wasn't too bad at first. It was only me and someone else in there but they got busy pretty fast and the guy behind the counter handled it gracefully the ambience is small. It's probably a few tables on the inside if you wanted to sit and enjoy your doughnut, but other than that, this place is definitely good. read more

Donut King is a good spot with a huge variety of options. They offer some really creative flavors that somehow manage to work, like a donut topped with Nerds that I tried and really enjoyed. It's not a fancy place, kind of like Dunkin but with even more choices to explore. The shop itself is pretty straightforward, you just walk up to the counter and order. Parking is usually easy to find, and they stay open late, which is perfect for grabbing a donut whenever a craving hits. Overall good spot to pick up a lot of donuts for a decent price. read more

Got a dozen donuts and i can say that the raspberry and blueberry filled glazed donuts were fantastic! Will definitely be back to try others! read more

10/10 donut king is the absolute best. I bought a house just down the road a few years ago and their donuts fueled my renovation. Every weekend when we came up to do work we had to stop in and get a dozen and it definitely was the right way to start the weekends! They have so many options for all types of donuts, they are all good, but for me you can't go wrong with a classic Boston crème! I will say the maple bacon was a little odd for my taste. The employees are always so helpful in picking the assortment we want, while there is almost always a line (because they are so delish!) they work through it quickly and you're never waiting to long! The place is small and a little dated, but that's alright, I don't need much from my local donut shop! It's cute, and does the job of getting out those tasty treats! read more

I haven't been here in a long time! They have the same set up they've always had! Go order at the counter and get out! Haha No seating inside. It's grab and go. The employees are college kids, but they're polite and helpful. They have a good selection of donuts and pastries! I was glad to see they had a French curler, which was delicious! And $8.99 for a half dozen is pretty good! read more

Tried the glazed donuts and chocolate sprinkle donut at a birthday party and both were delicious! Great texture and not overly sweet. read more

Let me start off by saying that this place used to be absolutely amazing! The donuts were so good, the filling was high quality, and they were very generous. Over the years, they've changed, gone from dried out donuts to only squeezing a tiny smear of filling into the donuts, and then, going back to filling the donuts and making them fresh again. We haven't been to Donut King in a little over a year because the quality went way down. Today, we decided to give them another try, hoping that they were back to the old donuts again. They weren't. Now, let me say that the donuts look absolutely beautiful, picture perfect, but the taste... Isn't there. They were completely tasteless. The texture was softer, fuller, and tasteless. The jelly filling is now a red gel, tasteless. The lemon filling, not even a hint of lemon, but there was an odd aftertaste. The chocolate ganache that they used to dip donuts in, now a hard tasteless coating instead of the rich creamy chocolatey goodness that they used to use. We bought a dozen donuts and two pastries. We threw the majority of the box away and half the pastries. The other issue why it was hit or miss for a while there, the workers can't seem to stop touching their hair, noses, mouths, ears, eyes, etc. while they handle the food. The young woman that grabbed our food today had one glove on and decided that she had to cough into her other hand, constantly played with her hair, eyes, and mouth. It was off-putting. We give up and won't go back. read more

Some of the best donuts I've had in a long time they are not expensive and are super good. They are nice and fresh they make them daily. They also make donuts for Universal, which is a cool fact they make the Simpsons big giant pink donuts. read more

Came back again after some time and still super happy with this place! I do wish they had a location closer to me but honestly just glad I can find a place with the classic donuts I grew up with! Let's be honest from now on when I am in the winter park area as I mentioned before I always stop at donut King. Sadly today they were out of Boston cream so I was able to get a Bavarian cream- I also got a double chocolate doughnut, a twisty doughnut, A sandwich cream pie large triangle donut with a cherry on top - I honestly have no idea what it is it just looked really good. I also got A brown sugar and cinnamon fried square shaped donut, and I got a chocolate with chocolate Oreo on top doughnut. I honestly can't wait to try a couple of these and I did get one for a friend. My fiancé is going to love the rest of the donuts. The lady at the counter was super nice. They almost always have all of their donuts. The ambience of donut king is a small I'm gonna say locally owned donut shop I know they have one in Winter Park one in Claremont and one I believe in the Tampa area. If you haven't been here I definitely recommend it they have donuts for every type of person and anyone's needs. They are normally open from 5 AM to 9 PM. This one is located specifically off of Howell branch Road in Winter Park read more

I decided to stop in because I was craving a cinnamon roll, but when I arrived I noticed bees swarming around inside where the pastries are stored. Wow, this spot reminds me of the doughnut shops in Houston. So many flavors and variations! I have a lot more flavors that I want to try next time I'm in town. My favorite was the almond crunch. So soft and pillowy. I will say by that afternoon the remaining few out of our half dozen were dry and going stale. Maybe ours were an older batch. I want to go when the HOT sign is on and see what they offer. read more

This area of FL is a homemade donut waste Land. If you think Dunkin (they are everywhere) has good donuts then don't go here as you obviously do not appreciate homemade donuts. I travel a lot to areas that have plenty of mom and pop donut shops (think Austin or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Rhode Island, CT) and this place is in the top 5. It's in a weird location in terms of not near anything that would catch your eye but it is worth searching it out. The donuts are fresh (3 times the size of dunkin) and at $13 a dozen it's a bargain. They also have plenty of specialty pastries. read more

Donut King is located in a shopping plaza and offers some pretty amazing donuts. The staff was friendly and the place is a bit spartan, but it is a donut shop and doesn't really rely or need any type of ambiance. The star here are the very good donuts and in that department, Donut King truly shines. read more

Donut King is my go-to spot when I need a little pick-me-up. The donuts are always fresh, soft, and full of flavor, and the staff is friendly every time I stop in. Whether it's a classic glazed or something more fun, they never miss. Simple, delicious, and worth the visit! read more

Manager brought donuts from here. She brought in different flavors and the one I had was really good. I would've liked to sample others but they say sharing is caring. This was my second time trying these donuts. The first time, I'll be honest, I wasn't super impressed because the donuts I tried were super sweet. I decided to try them again and I can honestly say YUM! I had just had a very negative experience at a different donut shop so I really just wanted a decent donut so I didn't have to leave my visit on a bad donut vibe. First off, these are affordable, I think I heard $13-15 for a dozen of the regular donuts. I could not take my eyes off of all the large specialty donuts in the front case. It was hard to choose just two. I got one cinnamon roll type with nuts on it and a donut with coconut on it (I don't know the name of them). They we're both delicious and fresh. It was less than $6 for two huge donuts. I can't wait to try some other ones! Go here if u like classic tasting, fresh donuts that don't break the bank. read more

I have a real love-hate relationship with this place. When it's good, it's so good -- the donuts are fresh, fluffy, and easily a 10/10. But when it's bad, it's really disappointing. Out of about five visits, two or three times the donuts tasted over-fried or even burnt. It feels hit or miss depending on the day. The staff don't seem enthusiastic to be there and almost seem bothered by your presence, but they get the job done. If you catch them on a good day, though, it's absolutely worth it. read more

If you're a donut aficionado in the O-town area, you probably have already heard of or even tried Donut King. I've purchased donuts here several times and really appreciate the variety, the taste, the friendly help and the affordability. Donut King is strategically situated in what I'd term a "donut desert." No "true" donut offerings exist in this area. Only Publix and Dunkin' are close by. Yes, some might argue about my observation, but Donut King is the only place dedicated to donuts first. I've even heard friends and co-workers exclaim "I didn't know this place existed!" even though they've driven by the store. Both raised and cake donuts are offered. My favorite is the maple bacon raised one with real bacon! Other offerings include cereal and candy topped along with the classics of glazed and cream-filled. All are affordable in my opinion. Need to switch it up or just explore when you're driving by? Check this place out! read more

Donut underestimate the power of a good pastry. IMHO it's holding the "best donut shop of Orlando" title loud and proud. A regular rotation of donuts and some regular favorites are always on display. And if that "hot donut" sign is on, best believe I'm swerving out of traffic into this parking lot. It may not be the flashy artisanal donuts of ones like Valkyrie and Salty, but they are fresh and delicious. A half dozen box will set you back $9 and they will not disappoint. read more

Best donuts in town. You can't beat the quality and the price. They have "speciality" donuts but the prices aren't crazy like everywhere else. They have giant donuts, candy donuts, classics and everything in between. No need to order ahead, they are great at keeping the case full. A star off because I don't think I've ever had someone that wasn't rude behind the counter but honestly I keep coming back because of the donuts read more

We stopped by last night on the way home from dinner to pickup a dozen donuts. Walked in, no one was there, a woman walked out from the back and inquired what we wanted. . . we picked our donuts, paid, she turned around and walked back through the kitchen door and that was it. Donuts are great, as always, but while the service usually is consistently 'ok' to decent, this long-haired blond woman (if i remember right) was NOT a bit happy to be working/providing services. I'm not expecting a handshake or a bouquet of flowers, but a "how can i help you" and "thank you" can go a very long way. read more

I'll preface by saying, I am not a big donut eater. However, I can appreciate a good donut every once in a while. These donuts just didn't do it for me. Lots of cool flavors and what not, but they felt cold and not fresh. Not to mention, there were ants crawling inside of the display. The whole environment was off putting to me. Seems like an older building, so I didn't expect it to be in top top shape, but the shop seemed kind of run down. 2 stars because the staff was friendly, and it was my first time trying a bacon donut--wasn't half bad. read more
