Sir Benji's donuts is located inside Plant Steet Market and sells what's in their name...donuts. They are absolutely delicious. They are a small stand making fresh to order fried donuts. They have a little machine that makes the mini donuts, and times it perfectly to flip them over. They are made to order and come out super hot and perfect. There are many toppings you can choose from including the classic glazed, powder sugar, churro flavor, sprinkles, cookies and cream and more. There were about 10-12 different combinations to choose from. What I love is that they have the options displayed so you know what they look like. The donuts are sold in dozens and you need to choose only one combination. I would prefer to be able to choose 2 flavors, since 12 donuts are a lot for one person. However, they are absolutely delicious and I will get them every time we visit. I really prefer two, the powder sugar, which they are more like beignets. So yummy! And I like the cookies and cream which is pieces of Oreos. They do put a little powder sugar on the cookies and cream as well. I would like to try the sprinkle one because they look super colorful and cute and I love sprinkles. Last time, they had something new for us, but fried Oreos. I absolutely love fried Oreo's, I used to get them at Universal all the time. They do not sell them anymore, so I was so glad they had them here. They are sold by the piece which was nice. I only ordered 1 but the super nice employee was having trouble finding the Oreo's. He ultimately did and gave us 2 for having to wait. So nice! Overall this is a great place to get a little sweet treat. Everything is portable so you can take it and go. There are tables at Plant Street which is great. Let me say that I am not a huge sweet fan. However, these little donuts were really great and hit the spot if you want something small and sweet. Sir Benji's Donuts is a small spot located inside Plant Steet Market in Winter Garden. Their stand is small but perfect for what they make, donuts! Everything they make is made fresh and right in front of you. Kids love watching the donuts pop out of the machine and get made right in front of them. The donuts come out hot and fresh and then can be served plain or topped with one of their many options. You can eat them plain but that's boring, if you are going to have a sweet treat, you might as well go all out. They offer many toppings to choose from from glazed to cookies and cream. I think there was about 10 different options. All of their toppings are on display so you know exactly what you are getting. They are also sold by the dozen and each dozen includes one topping. Again I am not a sweet person, so I am good with 1 or 2 and I make my wife eat the rest (she's ok with that). I do think it would be nice to have them in 6's but I understand. The ones my wife and I have had were the powder sugar and then the cookies and cream. Both we fantastic, really delicious and went really well on the mini donuts. On our last visit, my wife ordered us fried Oreo's. I mean Oreo's and they are fried? Come on, that's a perfect combo! The wonderful guy working also gave us a second one for free since he needed to find them. Overall this is my favorite spot at Plant Street to grab a sweet treat. Sir Benji's was definitely a sweet surprise in the Plant Street Market. They are these mini-croissant donuts that truly pack a flavorful punch. I tried their traditional one and their Oreo-flavored one. Both were absolutely delightful. So, good, I went back for seconds! While the overall atmosphere of the Plant Street Market is bustling and lively, it is pretty cool that Sir Benji's open display allows you to watch your order being prepared. So, everything is fresh (pretty fun/cool to watch too). The staff is so kind, and the overall pricing for these mini-gourmet donuts is reasonable. Since they are more on the specialty side, it is only fair to say, do not expect chain-store prices. I caught this little donut shop one weekend when they were at Lake Eola for the farmers market and holy crap I'm so happy we stopped. For starters the smell leaving this booth was amazing, we could smell it even when we walked 20 ft away. The line was so long, we knew people couldn't be waiting for nothing short of amazing. All the donuts are made completely fresh and in front of you. They had a couple of offerings, but by the time we got up to the booth they only had Churro and French Quarters left. We got a dozen for $6. You can pick 2 flavors so we did 6 of each. To start the taste was fresh, warm, and kind of like a light funnel cake. Specifically the French quarters with the powdered sugar. Pretty disappointed. We made a beeline for this shop as soon as we got to the market, and there were two ladies in front of us getting their items made. The young lady behind the counter looked at us and said that she wasn't making any more since they were technically closed. At $6 a dozen, these are tiny little fried pieces of heaven. They make these fresh to order, and you get to watch the little machine do its magic. The tough part is deciding which topping to choose from. Thankfully, you can split toppings on your order, or just get 2 dozen as they go down so easily. From experience, dry toppings tend to work best. They have glazes they can put on there, but with Florida humidity in combination with it just being drizzled on there, the glaze tends to slide off and form a puddle in your little donut package. With dry toppings (cinnamon, sugar), you get them sticking to the donut much better, while also being able to shake that bag up and coat them again. All donuts are freshly made and you have a choice of choosing two different flavors for $6/12donuts. They're all mini sized so definitely shareable. The donut batter itself is so light and airy which is just the way I like it since I'm not a huge fan of the very dense texture donuts.
