I reached out to the Minneola location, Donut King, via FB messenger to make sure I could schedule an order for pickup for a future date. They responded and said absolutely. I schedule a pickup order for Saturday June 6, 2026 for 4:30 PM on Tuesday June 2, 2026. I screenshot the order and received my confirmation email. I get there on June 6th and they don't have my order. I tell them that I have reached out before ordering and placed a future order for pick up. They ask when I did that and I tell them that I pre-ordered on Tuesday. Their reply? "Oh, we probably threw away the ticket." WTAF!! I had search for my email and show then proof of payment. Unfortunately, three of the donuts were not available so they gave them to me without being glazed. Never again will I pre-order. That team cannot be trusted. read more

Free and easy park just steps outside the door but after eating just a few bites they should make it at least a mile away with the amount of sugar and grease. Loved the staff could not be nicer but we were looking for a baked old fashioned donut ended up with a plain and got talked into a double chocolate, which is a chocolate cake donut dipped in glaze, then has a dark chocolate topping. Too much, kinda sickening. Just stepping inside you can smell the cheap sugar but get excited for the possibility that you had as a kid. Decided to treat my kids to hot glazed donuts when we saw the lit up sign driving by. When we asked for the hot glazed donuts the staff member said they don't have any and that they are told to keep that sign on even if it's not true to bring in customers. In the mood for some donuts on a Sunday morning! Had to check out Donut King. We were not disappointed. Not only were they tasty but they were huge. We picked up 3 of the "large" glazed donuts for about $20. They were soft and tasty and one was plenty for 2 of us. I was lucky and walked right up to the counter but the lobby filled with about 10 people right after I walked in. A lot of options available but we opted for the glazed. The lobby was small as it is carry out only. It's a very small place and the 10 people filled it up quickly. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and threw in a good sense of humor. My first try for Donut King in Minneola. Not Impressed. Placed a prepaid order for 4 flavors of donut holes 25 of each to be picked up the following day at a particular time. Have to say there was nothing wrong with the donut holes themselves, but the order was not what I had selected and I had to wait a half hour for it. I was just given two flavors for which they apparently they had ingredients on hand and only one flavor was one that I had selected. Then add to the fact that they were hot which would have been a good thing, except the donut holes were crammed into a box and were sticking together. I had to stop by my house and lay them out on parchment paper to cool a bit before I could re package them to take to the hospital as a gift for the nurses in a particular unit. The young lady who brought to the register for me said that she had called at 5 am but I did not answer, but in checking my phone log, there was no call to me at 5 am. I fell off the wagon. Thank you, Donut King. In my past life, I was one who could swallow a couple or more donuts in one sitting, no problem. I was a glutton for my entire adult life, a true sugar fiend, just ask my partner of many years. Despite this, I remained rather lean. But I knew as I aged, I would need to change my diet. And a change is what occurred. I had cut out almost all sugar for about a year. I refused to eat a donut, once a beloved staple on my diet. Well on Saturday during my wonderful visit in Florida, I had gotten my 20k steps in walking around Lake Minneola and noticed the Donut King sign and figured it was worth a quick visit as I could not resist the temptation.
