Wow what a great find in Ocoee! They have some of the biggest apple fritters I have ever seen, a great choice of fresh donuts and delicious coffee with delicious flavors. The service is great, nice and patient. They offered their personal favorites or what they thought we would like. The ambiance is a typical donut shop vibe, nice and clean. Lets just say, repeat customer. The donuts are big so I never eat them all at once. The toasted coconut is my absolute favorite followed closely by the toasted chocolate and caramel toasted coconut which is giving girl scout cookies vibes. I swear every time I go in here there are different options and then i feel the need to buy them all because when will I see them again. So many flavors! They also serve coffees (iced and hot) and they are tasty and some mornings, I believe on weekends, the serve breakfast sandwiches. One thing I dont love is that the eggs are essentially premade and for the price, I think NOT. Ive had them before and was not impressed and lowkey felt taken advantage of so id pass on those unless absolutely necessary. This shop also sells plants which is interesting but ive definitely bought a monsterra and pathos here and they are thriving in my home so despite it being strange, I am down for the shenanigans. This little shop met all we had heard about in a recent Yelp best donut shop article. I had a huge 4"x4"x4" coffee cake that had layers of flavors. I bought the Fruity Pebbles donut, Strawberry Lemonade donut and Blueberry Pop-tart donut to go. By far, the Strawberry Lemonade donut was the best. We came here last minute before they closed. We were in the area for an event and had some extra time, so we figured a donut and/or coffee would be a good pick-me-up. The employees were so nice (especially since we were a larger group coming in close to closing time). The place was decorated for Christmas (really cute!) and we ended up trying their seasonal drinks- we got one gingerbread iced coffee and one Mr. Kringle cookie latte. The space is cozy and there is also umbrella covered seating outside. Get their early, especially on the weekend as the line gets long quick. The Apple Fritter did not disappoint and is bigger than my face. Felt like it weighed a couple pounds. I appreciate an Apple Fritter that actually has apple in it. I was a slightly disappointed with the donuts, especially the Boston Cream. It was way to sweet even for a donut in my opinion. It did not need the ganache on too and I would liked more without it. I was able to also snag a bite of the my kid's Pride Donuts, which was good but again uber sweet. The donuts themselves are well made, just a bit over the top on icings, etc. That did not stop me from eating, just a taste preference. I want to go back and try one of the Kolaches. read more

I found this gem while working in the Downtown Ocoee area. Some of the vendors I met highly recommended DG! I tried the regular flan donut and also mini donuts to go; visually appetizing, taste good and definitely freshly made. I plan to bring friends so we can try variety plus order drink selection! We first heard about DG Doughnuts (DGD) from our family who live nearby. Ever since we got a taste of their delicious treats, we make it a point of visiting DGD whenever we're in town and/or our fam usually brings us a box of DGD goodies when they come to visit wherever we are stationed at the time. DGD used to be located in a gas station and it just added to its charm. It's nice to see that they have expanded and moved into their own space since our last visit. They are actually located closer to our family so even better for us! Love the new space, nice and clean, with charging stations on bar seating. The service was friendly as usual and there were plenty to choose from. My haul for this visit: - Iced mocha - so delicious. I usually ask with extra chocolate and they made it just the way I like it! - Brownie - my oldest wanted this one and I sneaked a piece and it's so good! Dense and has chocolate chops evenly distributed in the pieces - Apple muffin - they are huge. My cousin-in-law got this and I never got a taste, but she is clearly a fan, as she gets this all the time - Doughnuts: Chocolate mousse cream: this is in a rectangular shape, cut horizontal-wise, piped with chocolate mousse cream, topped with powdered sugar - yum! Banana cream pie: banana pudding in the middle, topped with vanilla glaze and Nilla wafers - so good! PB pretzel: I didn't get a taste of this because my husband gobbled it up! Boston cream: The cream is always the iffy part of this doughnut in any shop, but the cream was not overly sweet and so good! Things to note: - their doughnuts are MASSIVE! Think 2 doughnuts as one! They do mostly yeast doughnuts, but they throw in a few cake ones in there too. - also available are muffins, cookies and brownies - coffee beverages are made with Lavazza coffee - get an apple fritter (they are even bigger than the donuts - about the size of the box! They are so soft and absolutely delicious with bits of apple. They sell out really fast though. Their new storefront location is lovely. Such a great addition to Downtown Ocoee. They are able to spaciously display their amazing baked goods while still having plenty of room for tables inside and outside. They also sell a good variety of coffee and DG merchandise.The have certainly increased the amount of donuts and baked goods they offer now. I chose to go with their tiramisu donut, which was filled with a mascarpone and espresso cream, dipped in vanilla frosting, and topped with crushed dark chocolate biscotti. Whenever you see this special pop up, you HAVE to try it. I have no idea how they get their yeast dough so perfectly soft and fluffy. It's the perfect donut. Then it gets filled with this luscious, creamy espresso custard. It's heaven. And another thing: this donut is stuffed with the filling. I get some in every bite, which is rare in so many donuts I've had. Then even the icing on top, which is normally my least favorite part, went perfectly on this donut. I tried the donut skewer that had cookies & cream topping. They were yummy. I also brought home a giant (big as your head) apple fritter. The fritter was a little dry for my taste, so I probably wouldn't get that again. Being new to the area I wanted to find the little local places that do everything right, DG Doughnuts is that place in Ocoee. Heck I think it's worth a 30 minute drive to experience what I've found to be the best donuts in Florida (Okay I'm a recent transplant from NY/NJ but have sampled a number here already). This place opened in April 2022 in the location where the Ocoee Diner was for years. I enjoyed the fare at the Diner - good basic and plentiful food. But McKey Street has undergone a renaissance of sorts. Adjoining the donuts shop is a great looking water ice shop with literally 100 flavors from which to choose (I'll visit that place at some time this summer). There is a nice brew pub. And much more located in those two blocks around the corner from City Hall. The doughnut shop is intoxicating. A wide selection of gourmet doughnuts and other baked goods. As the young lady explained all the different choices on display, I wanted to try them all. The place is bright and cheery with ample umbrella covered outdoor seating (shared with the water ice shop). The staff is friendly and clearly believes in their product. I purchased a Dad Donut topped with chocolate frosting, potato chips and pretzels, a plain cruller and a chocolate chip cookie. I've only had one bite of the donut so far and it was amazing!
