Axum Coffee is a perfect spot for a latte and snack! They roast their own coffee and have all the classic coffee options, along with some specialty coffees. I tried the Cinnabee which had cinnamon, honey, espresso and milk. I also ordered some sourdough which came with butter and jelly. It was a nice little snack! There is free wifi, but the restrooms are outside and up an elevator so you definitely wouldn't want to park your laptop and leave it unattended. My go to coffee spot whenever I go to downtown Winter Garden. Service is always top notch. If you want to stay I recommend getting there early as tables and spots fill up fast with people working. The location also has additional outside seating as well. This visit I tried the seasonal option Thank the Phoenicians. I love anything Ube related and I really enjoyed the combination of Ube and coffee flavors. Again, for as busy as it gets the service is always fantastic. Don't get me wrong, the decor and area itself was super cute but for the amount of time I spent in line waiting for my coffee, I expected it to be a little better. That's not to say it wasn't decent, but it wasn't the best coffee I've ever had. I got myself a hot vanilla latte because it was chilly outside when I stopped in. We had a Winter Garden afternoon so as a coffee lover I had to check out a local coffee shop, cue Axum. I loved how the shop had a high ceiling and large windows with plenty of natural lighting. Our cashier unfortunately was not friendly to me, which is a bummer because it was our first time here and customer service and friendliness is absolutely part of the experience. I was undecided about what drink I'd get so I opted for a seasonal latte, I had the Limoncello latte with cold foam. Two others were with me and so we also ordered a snickers latte, and a hazelnutella without espresso as this was for a child. Although I took out the espresso of the hazelnutella I was still charged regular price for it which I found to be unfair. This should be looked into and arranged in a way where pricing can be customizable to avoid customers being over-charged. The prices to the other drinks were overall fair and the barista was very efficient, she made our drinks perfectly (all 3 of us were pleased!) and was polite. read more

I have had Axum Coffee in Winter Garden at their brick & mortar location. They also have a stand at Plant Street Market. I do enjoy their coffee and they have quite a bit of flavors. They have a handful of tea options, and some snacks and sandwiches too like cookies etc. they open late at 9 pm and have inside and outside seating. Their service is pretty good too. I would definitely come back, and recommend this coffee shop to others. There is also a Foxtail Coffee down the street, but I like this coffee shop since it is specifically in Winter Garden! I visited Axum coffee on a Friday afternoon around 4pm. I love this spot on plant street. It's the perfect place to pull up and read a book or do a little bit of work while enjoying one of their great coffees. I am a decaf only coffee drinker, and they have decaf espresso here. My favorite drink is their heavenly toffee latte. The service here is always friendly and I love that they give you a nice little mug or glass if you're having your coffee to stay. We stopped by Axum for some hot coffee on a cold evening and had a lovely experience! I love that they are open till 9pm when most coffee shops and cafes are closed! The shop is so cute and wonderfully decorated for Christmas. I got the Cinnabee off their holiday menu. It's a latte with cinnamon and honey. It was delicious and not too sweet. Sweat Study Spot - came here on a Friday evening around 6:30 and ran into what appeared to be full of working and/or studying folks. We were looking to grab a tea while we were waiting for our table at a nearby spot to be ready. Unfortunately, they were out of their peppermint tea and oddly the Christmas tree up was still up in January. We ended up ordering a "BOURBON ST. Was walking around downtown winter garden looking for some coffee and glad I stopped in. The interior had a nice cozy feel to it and the staff was friendly and helped me choose from the menu. I was impressed by their unique drinks and ordered a blueberry espresso tonic to go. It was light and not overly sweet. Something nice and cold to have on a hot day. Great local coffee shop in the heart of Plant Street in Winter Garden. We headed in here after brunch as our most recent pop-in. We've been several times before as well. They have a good menu of options, but hot and iced coffee, and treats. They also have a kid's hot chocolate if you want something for a little one. Seating is comfy and varied throughout the store. High-top bar area, high-top tables, lowers seating, and outdoor seating as well. Staff is always super friendly and quick to help. I came over to this part of town to check out the food hall, and while I was doing all my perusing and purchasing and eating, I needed a coffee, of course. Axum Coffee is right up front and center as you enter the building, easy. Sold. I don't remember what I got exactly. I commandeered the counter employee to help me build a drink. I knew I wanted something cold, hazelnutty, sweet but not too sweet, with an extra shot, and they helped me build the perfect drink. I sipped on that thing for about 10 minutes, because I'm a glutton, but I did enjoy every sip. Oh My God! My new favorite coffee spot and it's located right in downtown Winter Garden. When you walk in it's super cozy with a lot of tables to sit and do work if necessary and they also have outdoor seating! I got a 16oz iced Coconut Cream Pie latte and it was amazing! It had espresso, white mocha, coconut syrup and milk and topped off with whipped cream. While you wait for your coffee they have ice water out so you can grab a water if you need too. Cute ambience, but incredibly rude staff. Recently moved to the area and tried this place out during the Downtown Winter Garden Farmer's Market on Saturday. On the positives, it has a really nice feel to it and a comfortable outdoor area to sit that is shaded by the alleyway and seems to be pet-friendly. Unfortunately, the staff (or at least a few members of the staff) were incredibly rude to my wife. She ordered a decaf americano (she can't have caffeine for health reasons). While waiting at the pick up area for our drinks, the barista making our order started talking to the other barista with some pretty mean comments. Her exact words were, "Oh my God, why would someone even order decaf? Like, that is so sad and such a stupid waste of money. What a sad order." I don't know if they didn't think she could hear them or they just didn't care, but nothing makes you want to come back to a place like staff talking negatively about you right in front of you. If Axum is reading this, I'd ask that you kindly educate your staff that there are a lot of reasons that people aren't able to drink caffeine, one of which is NOT because "it's a sad and stupid waste of money." Sadly, this won't become our weekly morning coffee spot. And for those reading this, if you like decaf coffee or friendly staff, I'd recommend trying somewhere else. read more
