If you're looking for real ice cream, Bruster's Real Ice Cream absolutely lives up to its name…read more We've been coming here for a while now because it's close to home, consistently delicious, and honestly... it just hits every time. Yes, it can lean a little pricey--but let's be real (pun fully intended), quality ice cream is worth it. Pro tip: keep an eye out for their deals because that's when it becomes an absolute steal. Today's visit was inspired by an Instagram promo (we love a good social media find). They were running a BOGO 50% off small waffle cones--each loaded with two scoops. That's already a win before you even take your first bite. Spring flavors are officially here, and they did not disappoint: * My wife went with Campfire S'mores and Cold Brew Brownie * I grabbed Caramel Macchiato, and after my original choice (Maple Pancake ) was sold out, I doubled down with Cold Brew Brownie as my backup Let me tell you--the waffle cone was perfect. Fresh, crispy, and paired insanely well with the rich coffee flavors. The Cold Brew Brownie and Caramel Macchiato combo? Chef's kiss. Absolute home run. There's honestly not much else to say--it's real, it's delicious, and it's worth every bite. Bonus points for their promotional emails (always keeping things fresh with new flavors) and the fact that they've got a rewards/app system--because you already know I'm signing up for anything that gets me closer to more ice cream. Final verdict: Bruster's, you are the real thing. And yes... we'll definitely be back again and again.

We choose to sit at the bar as it's open seating. my husband wanted the five spice chicken wings, and we were disappointed to learn that they've been taken off the menu. This is such a huge disappointment because that five spice dry rub was amazing. We ended up talking to the bartender and she said that they could do the lil sum sum (kids menu) wings naked and put the spice on the side. My husband chose to go that route (two order as there are only 3 wings an order) but thankfully, they actually tossed the wings in the spice, which was perfect. But we really do wish that they would bring back the actual full order of the five spice chicken wings as that was his go to when we went there and because that's not on the menu it may decrease the amount of time we go back now because he doesn't really care for a lot of the other menu items. I got the five spice green beans, which is one of my favorite items on the menu. I was surprised to hear that they had taken it off the menu for a while and that they had just brought it back. so glad that they did because that was the whole reason we had traveled out there and had they not been on the menu. There's a good chance we probably would've found somewhere else. I also had the Po Po Lau curry because it is another one of my favorite dishes.

The drink was good with some spices, but instead of a craft ice, they just used regular crushed ice, making the drink a bit watered down. For my food, they sadly no longer had the duck noodles, so I tried the CKT noodles (15 dollars) instead. They mentioned it would have a smokey flavor from the wok preparation, which I enjoyed. However, the noodles were quite chewy. The meats included shrimp, pork sausage, and chicken. The chicken and shrimp were enjoyable, but the sausage could have used a bit of a punch. I was able to get some sambal for heat, but it lacked flavor and it was a bit gritty too. At least there was an ample amount such that I could take some home for the next day. My server was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was the same. I did enjoy the audible music and crowd, making the vibe nice. I would definitely come back if the bring the duck noodles again, and maybe try another drink next time too. Overall: B-

Central Florida locals know that we are definitely lacking in cozy, authentic diner experiences…read more.. So when I first discovered Dixie cream Café, I was so excited. I'm from the Midwest, so have been to many a diner breakfast growing up. This spot is so sweet and cozy, with warm yellow walls and art everywhere. it feels like stepping into your mom's kitchen in 2003 (and I mean that in the BEST way). They have an extensive breakfast menu, and I've ordered a few things from it, and I've never had an unsatisfying meal. The staff there is so kind, and while you can definitely expect a bit of a wait in the weekends for a table, you never have to wait too long on your food. So thankful to have this local gem close to home for those days I just need a good small town breakfast experience!

Everything came out hot, fresh, and tasted like good home cooking. The biscuits were especially fluffy and delicious. We ordered the Farmhouse Scramble, Breakfast Hash, and chocolate chip pancakes, and everyone left happy. My son has an unwavering love for hot chocolate, even in the middle of a Florida summer. As soon as he spotted it on the menu, he had to order one. Our server asked if he wanted it "sky high," and we all kind of looked at each other and said, "Sure?" We had absolutely no idea what was coming. When his drink arrived, we couldn't stop laughing. It was a giant ceramic mug overflowing with hot chocolate and piled high with marshmallows, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and sprinkles. It definitely wasn't on our breakfast bingo card, but he was absolutely thrilled. It looked incredible. I'm pretty sure the sugar crash hit shortly after breakfast, but it was worth it for the excitement alone. The staff was genuinely friendly, the food was delicious, and the whole experience was memorable. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again and looking for a great breakfast.
