My daughter and I stopped by here for boba after her orthodontist appointment, and it was our first visit. The place was cute, quiet, and very clean, and the staff was friendly. Torn on this one. The boba tea was very watery even before any ice melted. It was not too flavorful. It was also light on sugar, though I'm sure you could ask for them to adjust. Had the opportunity to try the Taro and original milk tea flavors. Both had these same qualities. Regardless, the boba tea pearls were actually very soft and good. I asked, and the three most popular boba flavors are: the Thai tea, the Taro and the Earl Gray. This might be something to keep in mind when ordering. The reason why I'm so torn on this review is the sushi. I ordered the sweet summer roll and really enjoyed it. It was fresh upon ordering, and I really enjoyed the order. I would recommend getting this! This might not be the place for boba, though I would argue that the sushi is worth trying. I've also noticed a lot of reviews for the ice cream rolls and poke bowls. Great little ice cream and poke shop right by the neighborhood Walmart. It is under Chinese ownership but the owners appear friendly and accommodating. The ice cream is formed from a liquid mix poured on a cold plate. Surprisingly it was quite smooth and not too icy, meaning there's very little water content in the mix -- a pleasant surprise. The boba tea was very watered down. I'm not sure if everyone is properly trained to make the tea. It has been inconsistent each time we have visited (three times). The last time I had it, the green milk tea was purely milk flavored without any matcha taste. The owner, Jimmy, contacted me directly and asked me to come back to try something else. I am glad I did, the level of commitment to customer satisfaction is very refreshing -- thanks again. It is right down the street to us, so we will definitely revisit when we are seeking some ice cream. read more

They have a temporary wall and plastic set up so you can see in, but not enter. We ordered 2 Cocoa's Dreams - definitely recommended if you like Ferraro Rocher! They have a nice selection of toppings (some they are more generous with than others), and you can choose 3 with your rolled ice cream order. They also offer poké bowls, sushi rolls, and boba tea. We had a nice experience considering the alterations in their biz, it would've been fun to see them prepare the ice cream a bit better, but I appreciate their safety efforts so that will have to wait! I'm going with 4 stars instead of 5 because I think they're prices are a bit high, and I would appreciate a smaller size option for rolled ice cream since they only offer one size. This review is going to be impartial to the delectable awe-inspiring ice cream at Snow City Ice Cream, that just opened up 5 months ago. I know they have poke and even a menu, but I was only in for a visit for that ice and cream. On my last trip to NY, I finally tried this type of rolled ice cream, or is it ice pan ice cream? Maybe both. And this one is a better version of the one I tried then. I say "finally," because I've watched it for years on Food Network and Cooking Channel. Without disappointment; I'm addicted. The process is completely different from traditional ice cream, the ice cream is poured and broken over an anti-griddle, spread into a perfect square, flavored with your choice of "drizzle," I opted for condensed milk and then rolled, cupped and garnished. Toppings ranged from kiwi and lychee bursting boba (some say caviar, but that's a little different), sprinkles, pocky, fruit and whipped cream. The taro was the favorite, but that's always hard to pass on. Something about taro that tastes like the milk left over a fruit flavored cereal, like Captain Crunch made into ice cream. The matcha was also delightful and subtle which in contrast allows for it to be enjoyed arguably even more by volume. Definitely worth the after dinner treat. read more
