I've gone here a total of two times now. The first time was when they first opened. It was so crowded and the prices were expensive for an ice cream crispy cone. This second time was a much better experience! Walking in, we were greeted by a worker there. There are tablets that take your order when you walk in. It's pretty self explanatory for ordering. I noticed the prices had gone down since the last time I went there and they were about $8 and some change per cone which I felt was fair. We waited a few minutes and our cones were ready. There were two tables inside but seating outside too, which we decided to hang. The cone is a donut like pastry that had Nutella on the inside. The cone was filled and then a lot more overflowing. Now the caramel was dripping down making such a mess but I didn't mind it, it added to the experience of such an elaborate desert. Make sure you have plenty of napkins on hand! I'm glad we sat outside because my cone was just dripping all over the place. I was trying to keep up with eating it so it wouldn't be so messy. I think it was a me problem because my friend that I was with wasn't nearly as messy as mine! There were trash cans outside so I can to go back inside to throw out the napkins and my cup. From the top of the swirl to the very bottom of the inside of my cone, there was not a single air pocket to be found. I got the chocolate flavored ice cream, and every bite was chocolatey and creamy heaven. Now, if you know your desserts, the cone that is used is usually known as a chimney cake. It is a sweet pastry that is soft on the inside and has a glass-like crunchy exterior that is coated with cinnamon and sugar. It's a little like eating a cruffin, but with a crunchier exterior due to their special way of making it. Definitely worth trying at least once if you've never tried it before. This spot is super close to our house and we've only been twice. The first time we came we were a bit underwhelmed as we thought it was kind of pricey for the cone and the cone itself was lukewarm. The second time we went was recently and it changed our opinion of the place. We got a special item that was only available for the week and it was delicious. The cone was nice and warm as well, and you are paying for the novelty of having a hand rolled dough cone grilled rotisserie style. A large group of us decided to check our Crispy Cones after our concert band rehearsal. We unfortunately weren't able to give them prior notice that we were coming, but they handled our group like pros!! The ordering process was super simple, done yourself on one of the two ordering screens. One of the employees even offered to take orders as well to help with our group size. There are a ton of customizations and the ordering process was self explanatory and easy. I have a weird texture thing with doughy stuff, so I opted out of getting the crispy cone (I know, it's what they're known for)! I went with just a cup of their vanilla and chocolate swirl, cookie dough, brownie, and cookie butter sauce. It was delicious! Their soft serve has the thick consistency of custard and it was great! My only complaint is that the toppings were randomly placed on the top/outside of the ice cream and with the cup being so small, you almost had to immediately eat the toppings so the ice cream didn't melt down the cup, leaving you with no toppings for the last half of the ice cream. I do with that they were incorporated a little differently for easier eating. There are some tables inside to sit at, as well as a patio on the side with more tables. Our group was able to spill outside and had plenty of room to gather, chat, and eat. For those that I was with that got the crispy cone, they all seemed to really enjoy it. I believe they all said that the outside stayed pretty crispy, but the inside does get soggy from the ice cream and most ended up peeling the outer layer off to eat and left the inside. There are a few inspiration options to choose from or you can build your own. I chose the cookie butter option with vanilla ice cream. Coating the inside of the cone with cookie butter = perfection. However they lost me with the ice cream, it's only soft serve with a few of the toppings on top. For a cone that costs more than $10 I would prefer for the toppings to be mixed with the ice cream so I'm not only getting it in the first 10-15 bites. I've been here twice now. The first time I got the original cinnamon cone and strawberries with whipped cream and raspberry preserves. It was light and delicious perfect for summer. The cone itself reminded me of something I had in Germany and then on the wall I noticed that they had a map and note that said this is based off of a European treat. The Rundown: A local "twist" on softserve offering a unique cone experience. The Review: I apparently missed the opening of this concept, and when looking for ice cream one evening came across this concept. In short, it's standard softserve but instead of a cone (waffle, cake, etc) it's a roll baked into a cone shape. They offer a monthly feature that rotates, along with some "favorites". It's a cute concept but I felt it falls flat in a few areas. First, there isn't really anything crispy about the cones. They're good! Just not crispy. While they do apply a spread inside, the toppings are added to the outside. They fall off very easily and are in small quantities so expect to mostly be eating the softserve with soft dough cone as the majority of the flavor. The team was efficient and friendly. Inside was simple and effective, I liked how they had the cones being prepared visible highlighting the unique element. Ordering is via tablets and pricing is okay, considering it is a novelty. We ordered using a touch screen and then waited on the sidelines, watching the workers make fresh cones - which was super cool. Your orders are prepared pretty quickly and they seem to have an efficient work process. The cones are big enough to share! My husband and I shared one and we hit our sweet limit pretty early on. You have to eat fast because the ice cream melts, even with the jam/Nutella/cookie butter layer slowing it down. I was a bit underwhelmed with the cone overall - we got the standard cone with Nutella spread and strawberries as a topping. The dough was really thick and a bit dry the night we went; it was bread-like, but lacked the fluffiness. The soft-serve was regular vanilla soft-serve. I think the price is fair given the amount of work that goes into making these cones, but I'm not sure they're to my taste. When we were there, there were only 2-3 tables with chairs and a few standing tables inside. If the weather is nice, you can sit outside; but if you go on a rainy evening like we did, it can get pretty crowded inside. Ordering was pretty easy and they offered all kinds of different options to customize your cone. Once my order was placed it took only a couple of minutes for my order to be made. We took our cones and decided to eat outside on their outside patio area. They have multiple Adirondack chairs to sit on as well as a few tables. This was some of the best soft serve ice cream I've had in Orlando. The soft serve is creamy and tastes of quality and isn't runny at all. The toppings are really fresh as well, the strawberries were sweet like candy and the walnuts had a nice crunch to them. Arriving around 8 PM, I found a line outside, but a helpful greeter managed the crowd, answering questions while we waited to go inside. Once Inside, you order using a kiosk. The menu featured two standard soft-serve flavors: Vanilla and Chocolate, alongside a weekly rotating flavor. This week's special was cookie butter and biscoff for soft serve and cone flavor. For about $8+ a cone, you choose and select a soft serve flavor, a cone type , filling, another topping, and sauce all included in the price. The inside is tight and a little uncomfortable when you are waiting. You could see everyone was working hard. It took about 10 minutes from placing the order to receiving the dessert. The biscoff cone and flavor were standout hits- highly recommended if available. The standard vanilla-chocolate swirl in the traditional cone was enjoyable. I will say once you start eating, toward the bottom of the cup it does get messy. At least they offer hand wipes to help clean up. The dessert in my opinion rich and large enough to share. You also have the choice of not doing the cone and only enjoying soft serve. Unfortunately, the tables inside were dirty and I do think they could be attentive to wipe them down periodically. If you do decide to sit outside, just fair warning with all the bugs. (It's Florida so not much you can do about that) Overall, it was a good experience. The staff here were friendly; though my interactions with them were ever limited since you order via self-service kiosks. The ambiance here are typical of any ice cream shop. The seating is a bit limited inside, but they have more seating outside. Parking also seemed pretty limited due to the small parking lot. The desserts themselves have a lot of options for soft serve. They have the usual vanilla, chocolate, and swirl, as well as a special weekly flavor (when we were there it was blueberry). In addition the base ice cream flavors there were various favors to fill the bottom of the cone, such as Nutella, cookie butter, fudge, etc. furthermore, there were a wide variety of other toppings, from strawberries, to Oreo crumbles, to sprinkles, etc. The cone itself is somewhat reminiscent of a thicker crispier hollow churro, filled with whatever you choose as well as ice cream. We tried a vanilla ice cream with Nutella in the cone, and strawberries and Nutella on top, and a Vanilla with cookie butter in the cone and Oreo crumbles and cookie butter drizzled on top. Both were pretty good, but again, I'm not really a dessert person. Personally, I don't think that I'd drive the 30-45 min to go here again, but I wouldn't be opposed to going here if I happened to find myself in the area and looking for dessert. read more

This was my first visit to the new "Crispy Cones" on Curry Ford road. I first experienced a Crispy Cones in Europe a few months ago. The cone, ice cream and toppings were exactly the same. I had a vanilla/chocolate swirl ice cream with crushed heath bar candy on top nestled inside the sugar coated bread-like cone. It was delicious. I actually split it with my grandson. The staff was nice enough to put most of the ice cream into a cup for me and he ate the cone with the remaining ice cream. It was more than enough for both us us The store looks very clean with a few tables inside. There are several tables with umbrellas outside. They could make it a bit more pet friendly by placing a bowl of water outside for our fur babies. Orders are placed at a kiosk, which is a little confusing at first, but the staff was nice enough to give me some assistance. So I paired the oreo cone with light Nutella, crushed oreos and a cookie butter drizzle. It was so good! I wish that the cone would have been warm. I know that doesn't work well for ice cream but you get me. They do sell a warm cone with fruit. My overall experience was good.
