This is a super cute ice cream/ chocolate spot in downtown winter park. They had a ton of different flavors of ice cream, chocolates, fudge, fondue fountain- every sweet thing you could ask for. The pumpkin pie mixed with apple pie ice cream was very delicious and festive- and the server gave us huge scoops. My one complaint is the price- it was over $16 for a regular scoop and a kids scoop. Walking around Park Ave in Winter Park, my friend and I found this place which is one of the most sinful, desirable, and delightful places when searching for something sweet and simple...well, not at Kilwins. OMG! This place has a tons of a different types of chocolate and treats that I couldn't choose from because I want them ALL!!! As the people around me know I have a sweet tooth and love all things chocolate. So of course I've been to this location a couple of times now. It's part of a bigger chain in the Southeast area and this location delivers much like its sister stores. It is smaller and can get a bit crowded during busy times. However, they do lay things out in a way that's easy to see what all is on offer. They are quick to move the line of people if there is one, and they're always friendly. You can get anything from a custom-made to order dessert, to to-go truffles and ice cream. They do not have any seating inside but you can always take it for a walk down Park Avenue, or there are a couple of small tables and benches in the immediate area if they're open. Kilwins is my go-to ice cream shop on Park Avenue in Winter Park. As soon as you walk in you smell the chocolate and waffles, such a wonderful smell. They make some of the products in house, so you can see them working with fudge or making the waffle cones. There are nearly 32 ice flavors to pick from and my favorites are the mint chocolate chip, chocolate and coffee. There are also chocolates, truffles, milkshakes, coffee, caramel apples, and more treats. They also have some sorbets. The shop is small, with no indoors seating area, only a couple of tables outside. It is more like a grab-and-go. This place is the perfect ending for a day walking on Park avenue or a treat after dinner. During peak hours it can get busy so be patience, the line moves quickly. read more

Boyfie got Georgia Peach and I got Chocolate, both in a waffle cone. I'm no ice cream connoisseur, but it's not worth the price for me. I wouldn't be back. Single scoop is $7.29 and double scoop is $10.99 (in a waffle cone). It's easy to say to expect higher prices because of the location, but as of August 2023 there's a new ice cream spot 8 minutes away in Winter Park Village that's reasonably priced and also tastes delicious. I am lactose-intolerent so I get the raspberry sorbetto. And I always get a waffle cone. It is the best. This is real homemade fudge, not some high volumes attempt at fudge that has an overly processed taste. My wife has a hard time making a selection; she has no issues with lactose so she has more choices. We went on the Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour and decided to get ice cream to keep the celebratory mood going. We were so happy with everything we got, I normally do not eat dairy, but was easily coerced into trying the salted caramel ice cream, others in our party had key lime and toasted coconut of which I was able to get a taste of each, so incredible, but the salted caramel ice cream was by far the best. Upon entering it smelled like Fabuloso and chocolate. We proceeded to get a couple of "goodies." We sat outside and attempted to eat them. All of them tasted like fabuloso. We had to throw them away. I ordered two milkshakes and a small piece of fudge. The total was an astronomical $31! To add insult to injury, one of the shakes was made with whipped cream despite me ordering it without. Upon paying, I asked if there were any extra loyalty cards because I left mine in the car. I was informed that they no longer distribute loyalty cards by would honor existing cards. When I returned with the card, I only received one credit/punch. I've been frequenting this location for years and have always received one punch milkshake ordered. I was then quite rudely told by Tia and Sandy--the two ladies "helping" me--that Kilwins is now corporate, and that they are managers so they'd know better than me. I was then told that I'm welcome to call the manager (who I guess is yet another manager aside from Tia and Sandy, the two managers working this particular three-person shift) on Monday. Why are there two managers in a three-person shift, and why do I have to call back in three days to speak with another manager? Ridiculous. To her own admission, Tia was not entirely certain of the loyalty card policy but had no issue with being rude to a customer about the matter. If this is the new Kilwins now that they've "gone corporate", they're ruining a good thing. Train your people better, and stop the penny pinching. Over $30 for two milkshakes and a square of fudge is insulting enough. There are other options, even on Park Ave. I guess it's time to check them out. read more
