This Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream has incredible customer service, but be warned that parking can be a bit of a challenge. The ambiance is bright and cheerful and Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream is probably my favorite Ice cream in the Orlando, Florida area. I love that they change the flavors out monthly, though quite a bit are in permanent rotation. I tried several of the featured flavors for September and went with the S'mores. S'more. I would definitely recommend Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream and I give this location five stars. read more

Kelly's Ice Cream is the best, so when I saw this new location, I had to stop in for some ice cream! My son and I stopped by, and he got a small scoop of chocolate ice cream while I ordered a coconut milkshake. I also picked up five of their cane sugar sodas to take home and try. Everything was delicious! My coconut milkshake was so good it was creamy, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering again. I can't wait to come back for another one. I'm also excited to try all the sodas I brought home. So happy to have another Kelly's location! read more

Had the pleasure of trying Kellys Homemade ice cream while visiting Orlando as our resort had their truck come out. I tried the salted caramel oreo and butter pecan flavors. They give you big scoops and the worker was even kind enough to let people do half chocolate and half vanilla if they wanted. I thought the ice cream was pretty good, not quite on par with Graeters, or Jenni's in Ohio (if you know, you know) and not as creamy smooth as other soft serve ice creams Ive tried. But still solid and a cool option to have their truck cater a offsite events with a lot of flavor options! read more

First trip to Kelly's in Maitland. Welcoming and friendly staff greeted us and offered samples of any flavors we wanted to try. I chose the peanut butter, cookies and cream and cookie dough option. Wow! The flavors were so divine! I opted for my scoop in a waffle bowl, topped with warm peanut butter sauce. They had cane sodas in a cooler as well that are really good! Speedy service with a smile and nice conversation made the experience extra-sweet! Five stars for Kelly's Ice Cream! read more

Everything went well on this recent trip to Kelly's! The place was lively and buzzing with contented customers of all ages. We were warmly welcomed in and we began to peruse the large variety of ice cream flavors. There was signage about their seasonal flavors which was very helpful. I immediately chose the German Chocolate Cake flavor from this list since I already had chocolate on my mind. I also noticed that Apple Cider Donut was a seasonal flavor. Of course I had to ask for a sample of that flavor too. At first, I didn't really taste the flavor like I expected to. But then, the aftertaste hit me! It was like the taste snuck up on me! I fully tasted the apple cider donut and the texture of the ice cream included bits of donut. The employees were friendly and we were soon on our way! As we were exiting, we noticed tables and chairs outside. You can enjoy ice cream and sunny Orlando's beautiful weather at the same time. read more

This was my third time visiting Kelly's Ice Cream in Maitland, and I always have a great experience! The location is super convenient, and the decor is adorable and definitely gives cozy, happy vibes. The staff is always so sweet and welcoming, especially when it comes to offering samples (which I love!). Parking is also free in the area. I got my usual birthday cake ice cream in a waffle cup (my fave!), and it never disappoints. I really like that they introduce new flavors every month, even though I usually stick to what I love. Maybe next time I'll switch it up and try something new. Either way, this place is a gem! read more

Kelly's ice cream is always a home run no matter what you're looking for whether it's sorbet, classic flavors or the inventive they have something for everyone. I'm dairy free and they have four options available for me and allow me to taste each of them. I settled on the cherry , vanilla dairy free, and it was absolutely delicious, not overly sugary and had a real cherries. My son had the Cookie Monster and he absolutely loved it. They also have rotating flavors for a seasons and they allowed us to taste those as well. I love this location as I've been to the other ones in the parking is normally congested at the Corrinne Drive one as well as the one in Ivanhoe Village I like where it's located and that there's plenty of parking there. And the staff is amazing as well.-they have indoor outdoor seating as well as plenty of seating across the street in a park read more

I'm glad they finally have a location closer to home! The only downside is they almost never have a sugar free flavor at this location. It's a small outpost location with no seating. It's grab and go. It's nice to have some ice cream while walking around the shops here though! Especially on Sundays when the farmers market is in session. read more

Kelly's has an array of options whether you want a cone or a cup. I got the dairy free peanut butter and I forgot which flavor my friend got. Both flavors were 10/10 and the staff were very kind and the store itself was clean. We enjoyed our ice cream on the patio and I will definitely be going back to try other flavors! read more

They have inside and outside seating. Great decorations. They have a great variety of signature flavors as well some seasonal ones. You can either have it on a cone or cup.. they also sell ice cream on a pint or quart to stock on your freezer. Non dairy ice cream is also available but their is an extra charge. Kelly's Ice Cream is hands-down my favorite ice cream shop in Orlando! Each visit is a delightful experience, thanks to their incredible selection of flavors that are brimming with rich, vibrant taste. What sets Kelly's apart is the generous chunks of cookies, brownies, and other delicious mix-ins that make every bite an indulgent treat. The attention to detail in crafting each flavor is evident, as you're always met with a perfect balance of creamy texture and delightful surprises. Whether you're a fan of classic flavors or adventurous combos, there's something here that will blow you away. It's a cute and bright shop and the service is always great. I wasn't a big fan of the seasonal flavors this time around, I really love the concept and floor combos on the board but the execution didn't hit for me. Caramel apple strudel- the apple flavor wasn't a good after taste and had an off flavor but the caramel was good. 4/10 Pumpkin pie cheesecake- I really really had high hopes but this was a miss, it had a very plain flavor and did not have a cheesecake flavor but ultimately it was a good pumpkin ice cream. 7/10 Peanut Butter Pie - I'm not a peanut butter person so I feel as thought I'm not rating this fairly but fans of Reese's will be very happy. 6/10 German Chocolate Cake - I didn't like the texture or taste of the cake, it tasted like a Walmart cake mixed with chocolate ice cream, It didn't have any of the import aspects of German chocolate cake like its creamy thickness or the moist cake. 4/10 Chocolate Covered Cherry - I was really excited to see a darker cherry because the tartness of a black cherry would've been so good with the chocolate but it was a dark maraschino cherry and it was too sweet. You didn't really get a lot of chocolate flavoring at all. Also this also had a texture issue because the cherries were so hard and tasted a little freezer burned. I had a friend say the same. 5/10 Cookie Monster - Good ol reliable right here, there were only 5 seasonal flavors so I went with my fav for the last of the flight. This is the creamiest Oreo ice cream mix everrrr. Also a great choice 9/10 Love the ambiance of the outside, you have a great view and a beautiful park to walk in after you finish your ice cream. 10/10 Service was okay, it wasn't super busy and they were fairly quick. Also try the soda brand!! Not too carbonated and full of flavor! read more

Tasty ice cream spot in a cute location with nice staff! Came here with my mom and we both enjoyed ourselves. We were able to taste a few flavors and that's how we discovered the Salted Caramel Oreo flavor (i think that's what it's called)... so good! I ended up trying the vanilla ice cream with the "Chimney Cake" which was actually good! I will definitely return! read more

After a busy day of checking antique malls, my folks and I felt like grabbing ice cream. We saw this location for Kelly's was close to where we were - it is their newest location that opened recently. It's on the ground floor of an apartment or condo residence. There is street parking and I believe some of the floors for the garage are for visitors or those there to shop the businesses on the street level. We were fortunate to find a spot to park, but I would suggest going when it's not a busy period if you don't want to take a long time to find a spot. This is one of the smaller footprints and I feel this is better for those who are picking up ice cream to eat and take away or to take back home, versus the main shop which has more room and tables where people can sit and eat their ice cream there. That being said, they have a good variety of flavors available and same as their other locations, they will let people try their ice cream flavors before making a decision. They still had the November flavors in store when I went, so we tried a few, but we landed on our tried and true flavors of strawberry, coffee, and pistachio in the end. Staff were friendly and made great recommendations to those who came in asking for assistance. The ice cream was smooth and tasted fresh. It is not cheap, but it's great to support a local brand. read more

I love Kelly's! I had a coupon, so I came in to check out their seasonal menu. The staff are always high energy and positive. They move quick and getting through the line was easy. Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream - Single Scoop Cup and chocolate cone - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Maitland, Florida

Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream: A Scoop of Central Florida Charm In the sun-dappled neighborhoods of Orlando, where the air hums with the promise of summer even in July, Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream stands as a beacon of frozen delight. With scoop shops in Audubon Park, SoDo, and Oviedo, plus a whimsically pink ice cream truck that pops up at local events, Kelly's has carved out a niche since its founding in 2013 by Kelly Seidl, a former nurse whose passion for ice cream was honed in her youth at an upstate New York creamery. What began as a modest venture in a home kitchen has blossomed into a Central Florida institution, offering small-batch, handcrafted ice cream and sorbets that balance nostalgia with audacious creativity. On a recent visit to the Audubon Park location, a tidy corner shop on Corrine Drive aglow with string lights and the chatter of families, I opted for a single scoop of the banana pudding ice cream nestled in a homemade waffle cone. The cone, still warm and fragrant from the iron, crackled with each bite, its golden crispness a testament to the shop's commitment to detail. The banana pudding ice cream itself was a revelation: creamy and lush, with ribbons of velvety custard weaving through a base that hummed with ripe banana essence. Chunks of tender vanilla wafer added a delicate crunch, evoking memories of Southern porches and layered desserts, yet the flavor felt refined, never cloying. It's the kind of scoop that demands slow savoring, each bite a small act of indulgence. Kelly's excels in its seasonal and unique flavors, which rotate monthly like a culinary almanac. Standouts like Mexican Chocolate, spiked with cinnamon and nutmeg, or the playful Ore-Dough, a riff on cookie dough studded with Oreo chunks, showcase the shop's knack for blending comfort with invention. Sorbets, such as a cherry-lime-blueberry swirl, offer dairy-free vibrancy, though the menu could expand its non-dairy ice cream options to keep pace with the region's growing demand for plant-based treats. The staff, warm and unhurried despite a bustling Saturday crowd, guided me through the menu with infectious enthusiasm, offering samples that only deepened the agony of choice. Beyond the scoops, Kelly's offers an experience--shakes, floats, sundaes, and flights cater to the indecisive, while the ice cream truck, a darling at weddings and corporate events, brings a roving sweetness to Central Florida's gatherings. Prices, though not inexpensive (a single scoop in a waffle cone hovers around $6), reflect the quality of local ingredients and the labor of small-batch production. The Oviedo shop, tucked into the historic Town House plaza, and the SoDo location, a hidden gem near Wadeview, maintain the same high standard, though seating can be scarce, particularly at the Fern Creek outpost. What sets Kelly's apart is its heart. Seidl's story--from scooping ice cream to fund nursing school to building a community-focused business--infuses every bite with purpose. During a power outage in Baldwin Park, the pink truck doubled as a generator, serving scoops and charging phones, a gesture that lingers in local lore. If there's a quibble, it's that the waffle cone, while delightful, can occasionally arrive less fresh, as some patrons have noted. Yet this is a minor misstep in an otherwise stellar operation. Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream isn't just a dessert stop; it's a celebration of craft and connection, a place where a scoop of banana pudding can feel like a love letter to simpler times. For those seeking a taste of Orlando's soul, served with a side of sprinkles, Kelly's delivers. read more

Always delicious. Top favorite ice cream for every flavor I have tried. Love that they are opening so many locations

Apple cider donut and pumpkin spice latte made my night! After dining at Lazy Moon [across the side street], my friends and I came to enjoy the newest location. We caught them in the last hour before closing. The team members were kind, professional, and patient as 10 of us made our way through the line. It was a great way to close out a milestone birthday. The shop was clean and well-lit. You can't go wrong with flavors. Their usage of real ingredients is delicious, indulgent, and what keeps me coming back. While I'm an OG at the original Corrine location, this one is closer and a location to which I shall return. read more

They charge 30-40% extra if you choose a non-dairy flavor. Sampaguita doesn't. Greenery Creamery doesn't. Jeni's doesnt. As someone who has to deal with a dairy allergy, I don't appreciate this. If you live in Orlando, you definitely know about Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream. My fiancé and I went a few days after they opened. Our dog joined us as we went to try out this brand new location. Did you know we could walk inside with our pup to order? My fiancé was waiting outside with our pup and was informed he could actually be inside with me to order. With that being said, Service matches all other stores, everyone is so kind and attentive. As usual, their ice cream never disappoint. Each scoop of ice cream has such rich flavor. customer service 10/10 those girls are so nice and the ice cream is really good that's the perfect place to enjoy ice cream's

I personally haven't been to any physical shop for Kelly's but I work in the same stadium they serve treats in and have gotten the chance to see their prices and taste their product. I can say this is some of the best ice cream I've ever had! I'd rank twistee treat at #1 but since I've tried Kelly's it's a hard choice between the two. The service is nice, the employees are really friendly, and the stand itself is okay, I don't have much to say about it, normal stadium stand. I recommend the Cookie Monster ice cream it's my favorite! read more

I go to the one in Oviedo. The young ladies at this store is so sweet and very patient while waiting on you to make your decision.

First and foremost, the staff were very friendly and nice, and the location is ideal. However, I ordered the Salted Carmel and Oreo ice cream and it was just terrible. Whoever made this flavor added way too much salt. With that being said, I tried a bunch of other flavors and they were good. Just don't get Salted Caramel. read more

The ice cream was really good, however they do have their own style of flavors. If you pick a flavor based on what every other brand tastes like, I suggest you sample it first. For me personally, the pistachio wasn't what I expected. It wasn't bad, but to me it tasted like another flavor with just pieces of pistachio included. That is my own fault though for not tasting it beforehand because they did offer me samples. I believe they did have at least 1 dairy free option, possibly more but I wasn't looking for that. The people working the counter were super friendly & again they did offer me samples but I declined. I was at the maitland location on a Sunday right after the farmers market, also the same time people would be getting out of church. It was surprisingly empty in there. I think a few people came through while we were eating, but I liked that it wasn't crowded, could be different at different time. I love ice cream so I'd come again if I was in the area. read more

Best ice cream in Florida! It's my go to place on summer weekends. Loved the pistachio flavor!

I love Kelly's but this location just is not cutting it. I have been there 3 times since it has opened and 2/3 times I've been I've had the same girl helping me. Those two times I've been in, they had just finished one of their Oreo doughs and added the left over, melted, bottom of the barrel ice cream to the top of a new one. The girl each time took the easy route and adds the old, melted ice cream into my cone and then just squishes the firm, fresh ice cream on top so of course it spills out over the edges of the cone. It wasn't too bad the first time but yesterday was absolutely pathetic. She even sheepishly apologized for how messy it was when she was handing it to me. Didn't offer napkins or anything. Another customer saw me struggling to pull napkins out of the dispenser with one hand. There was wayyy too much stuffed in there and the customer held down the dispenser while I tried to pull the napkin out. It just ripped in half and that's what I had to settle with. I have worked for Jeremiah's and am currently in the service industry so I have a lot of understanding and sympathy for new places and service but an ice cream shop serving fully MELTED ice cream in the florida heat??? Seriously? Was awful when i walked out the door and it immediately started melting more down my hands and I couldn't keep up with it. I didn't bother saying anything when they were helping me because the two working were clearly overwhelmed by the 5 people that were in the shop and I don't enjoy being that annoying customer. Kelly's seriously needs to fix how they train their employees and the standard of their presentations or just hire people who are competent and can handle scooping ice cream. On a positive note, I was happy to see that before the girl helped me with my ice cream she washed her hands and put new gloves on after handling money. read more
