Kim Frey With Say Yes To The Cake company was our cake designer and baker for the wedding. Her family are very lovely people and we were very welcoming. We met with her early this year for the cake tasting which was fantastic. I provided her a design in which we discussed all the specifics and based on her pictures on FB, we thought she could replicate the cake with our own added twist. The day of our wedding when we entered the reception hall, the first thing we wanted to see was the cake. Anxiously walking towards it, I grew more and more upset the closer we got to it. The cake was not at all what we presented her. It was leaning so much that when we took our pictures while cutting it, we had to stop because it began to tower over some more. The design looked less than amateurish and not at all like what she presents on her webpage. My now Husband and I both spent hours with her on discussing what we wanted and were excited to have gone with her as she was so genuine and also provided us a great deal. Sadly, no one complimented the cake. I avoided taking pictures of it and dread the pictures the photographer took because I also paid a great deal for her to take pictures and I don't even want any of the ones she took of the cake. I wish I was being over dramatic, but we are so unhappy with what was provided. I wont get my money back but most importantly, I wont get those moments back. The cake is one of the most important symbols of a wedding along with the ring, and the only nice thing i can say was it taste good.
