Vegan bakeries can be hit or miss, but Valhalla Bakery knocks it out of the park. From the wide selection of goods to how delicious the desserts were. I tried the Ube Coconut bar, which was slightly sweet and the cake had a light texture that was spongy, yet held together. I really liked the whipped frosting, the Ube bar wasn't too sweet. I saved the Cinnamon Roll for the next morning to have with my coffee and oh girl, it was still so soft and fresh! Another review described the service as being a little strange, and yeah it was. But I'm a little neurodivergent too, so I get it. The bakery shares space with Karelyn's Vegan, a little "chicken" shop that opened sometime in the past few months. There is some seating, but I'm not sure if it's shared.
Their custom vegan birthday cakes are absolutely delicious!!! Tried both a chocolate and a vanilla cake at my nephew's spider man themed birthday and they were both so good, and decorated so beautifully! Their team was great to work with as well. Whether you're vegan or not, these cakes are totally worth it!
I'm no vegan, but their Guava and Cheese Pastry made me question why not---Unfortunately, I'm not one to try vegan options often as I'm not vegan myself and have been disappointed by mock-dairy ingredients based items. However, their Guava and Cheese Pastry was so perfectly scrumptious I couldn't tell the difference! Pricing: Ranges but very affordable low cost items for single slices or portions to slightly pricier full pies or cakes etc. Food: Delicious, seasonal flavors and consistent classics keep you coming back for more. My family and I visited Orlando and loved it so much we came back multiple times during our stay. Service & Ambiance: Friendly is an understatement. My family were regulars apparently enough to the point the staff waved them in with a cheery wave hello. The shop is such a hole-in-the wall with simple and bright decorations, that have you feeling like you're visiting someone's home.

Fantastic vegan bakery! Ordering: I placed an online order and the overall process was easy and smooth. Pick up process was quick and easy as well. Cake: 5/5! Most people think vegan and don't imagine desserts can be just as tasty as non -vegan desserts but this cake was absolutely delicious. I opted for a chocolate cake with vanilla butter cream, strawberry jam filling and decorated with fresh fruits. I picked the cake up a day early and it held up well even after 32 hours of refrigeration. I definitely recommend this bakery especially if you or anyone you know is vegan and in need of a cake for any celebration, Valhalla does not disappoint!

I had visited another time while visiting the "chicken" place that they share a space with, but they were closed. I was finally able to try them and I went about 3 PM which was a little too late. I wanted to try cinnamon roll, but they said that is one of the most popular items, and that it sold out quickly. I was just thinking to myself, supply and demand, right? I guess if they would make a bunch because they sell great, that would make too much sense. Anyway, I opted for the rose pistachio cake and a peanut butter brownie cake. I'm not sure what they were though because they were extremely heavy. Each item was too heavy to be a cake and too heavy to be a cookie. I wasn't really sure what I was eating. I don't even know if they were fresh because they were pretty hard. I was really disappointed with the quality and the flavors. Maybe because I am not a true vegan, I couldn't appreciate it. However, it just was not my cup of tea. I would rather have some desserts from ethos, which are light and fluffy. I really did want to try the cinnamon roll to see what the hype was all about, but I will only go back if I am visiting their neighbor. I also think they were extremely overpriced and the packaging was terrible. It was so bad, that the guy in front of me, dropped his cake and other dessert right in front of my very eyes! They had to give him a brand new one. The packaging is very flimsy for what you pay for. When I came home and put my treats in the refrigerator, it popped open and wouldn't stay closed. I also wanted a slice of the red velvet cake, but it was only the whole cake! What in the world?? Anywho, people love this place, so cheers, but I wouldn't likely return.
Valhalla custom cakes ALWAYS deliver! I've been getting Valhalla birthday cakes for the last 8 years. It's been delightful and such a treat to see how this business continues to evolve - I wish the former location reviews translated. The latest cake was such a beautiful treat, I made a note that I'd love any pink or purple flourishes for a girlie girl and they added GLITTER pink and purple icing! It was a huge hit!! The icing was light and fluffy, the cake was great. Thank you Valhalla! The store is beautiful and the staff is great and if you're lucky you can snag some plants and some sweets on the same day.
Visiting friends down the street I decided to visit this bakery in the cute pink building on the way home. It's a vegan bakery, lots of choices. All look delicious. There was a friendly helpful young lady behind the counter. The place looked clean and tidy. I chose a rice cake and a blondie (half brownie half choc Chip cookie) The deserts were very good. I found a vegan Restuarant right next door that I tried too.
Today I had the opportunity to stop at Valhalla bakery's new location off of old Cheney Highway. I met up with my friend Matt; oh and I got two s'mores bars for 750 each which I love them. Then I got a slice of cake - which is gay cake. I got two churro donuts . I am so happy they finally have their new location opened I am going to come here all the time! The lady at the counter was very nice my friend Matt didn't know what to get so he asked her how the pies were and she recommended she's normally a Keylime pie type of girl however she does like the banana. The new Valhalla bakery has pink walls, and plants hanging from the walls as well as a very pretty foil tiled ceiling on top. The inside of Valhalla is rather small itself and they share some seating with dharma kitchen.

To say that I'm impressed with Valhalla Bakery is an understatement. We needed to have some vegan treats for a going away party, so of course this was the first place I thought of! I've had their pastries before but never any of their cakes. You would never know from looking or tasting the cake that it was completely vegan! It was heavy and full like a regular cake would be, and had a great taste to it! When it came to decorations I gave the team creative control to do what they wanted, and what the result was ended up being very elegant! I also had to get some cupcakes to have as well because why not? This bakery is a great option for vegans and non-vegans alike if you ask me. Absolutely amazing vegan bakery!!! Blown away by all the options-I could have easily have tried one of everything. The Cookie Monster bar called my name and OMG. It was every bit as good as it looked. Very rich and was able to have it as dessert for two nights. My nonvegan friends tried bars & cookies of their own and were also impressed. Absolutely delicious-come try them you will not regret it!! read more

Truly cannot get enough of this place. Finally tried their cake (a cookie butter red velvet) and not sure how I can get anything else. The cake was fluffy and just the right amount of moist. The frosting was not too sweet and the four layers of cake, yes 4, had the perfect amount of frosting in between each. Also, there was a new girl behind the counter, blonde hair and nose ring, and she was excellent. Recommend items and laughed with us. Seemed she actually enjoyed being there and that always a good sign! At this bad boy at home at home in peace. read more

We got a custom wedding cake from Valhalla this past weekend for my sister's gothic wedding and it was a seamless experience, and the cake was absolutely gorgeous. The Valhalla team were very thorough over email and the cake was executed perfectly. We couldn't have had a more amazing cake for my sister's special day. We did a strawberry cake with cream cheez frosting and can't even express how delicious it was!!! Thank you to everyone at Valhalla! read more

My family, or boyfriend & I always have to make a stop at this location or St. Petersburg location as their sweets are phenomenal. My mom is vegan so she discovered this spot when they were at Market on South. Best vegan treats & goodies. I'm a vegetarian but truly always prefer the cupcakes at Valhalla over regular cupcakes. Thank you to the employees at both locations for always being so patient and kind. read more

great place for vegans or people that want dairy free options! it was honestly hard to find the place, only because the sign for all of the businesses in the building are on one sign and the logos are a little too small to be that noticeable. workers were super nice and made great suggestions when i was stuck on what to get. the impossibilito is a personal fave! basically an empanada and on par flavor as if it was with meat! this location does not offer drinks but was told that the shop upstairs will be having drink options soon! would be nice way to explore all of the places this plaza has to offer! read more

valhalla bakery makes phenomenal baked goods and i would 100% recommend trying anything they make! i was there about 6 times over the course of 3 days and was able to try quite a few baked goods as well as establish some favorites. the location is nestled into the left side of a shared space with dharma southern chick'n (another hit ) where their bakery case is on display. i've had positive interactions with those working every time i've been there. first of all, the cinnamon rolls are heavenly- totally a must-try. the ones i had were never dry and were perfectly frosted. the key lime pie is also worth a try; i haven't had a key lime pie in so so long and this one tasted amazing! the cheesecake bar was also well-textured and flavored, and i loved the two slices of cake they had out during the week i was visiting (vanilla berry and a chocolate chip cookie dough). the cake was moist and not overly frosted. neither was overly sweet and i was happy with the cake:frosting ratio. i'd really recommend giving this bakery a try, they are definitely a new favorite of mine! read more

They have a very small selection of plants on display, but it's definitely primarily a bakery. This is my point of view as a regular customer to the bakery as someone may have more insight than me.
