We first saw Se7en Bites on Triple D and made it our mission that the next time in the area, to give it a try. Whenever we are in Orlando, Se7en Bites is our go to for breakfast even if it's out of the way because we know the food is always worth it. With their normal menu, which has delicious option to choose from, they have a "specials" menu which is handwritten on the brown paper by the register or on a black A-frame outside. Alway read over this menu because you definitely will find something new that they might never have again so try it before it's gone. Once you order with one of their most wonderful cashiers, you are provided with a number to place at your table for the food and drinks to be delivered to. As you wait, make your way over to bakery area that displays so many yummy, mouth-watering options to choose from. You might chuckle on some of the names that can be read on the cookie, brownie, scorn, etc. displays. Now to the food which always draws me back to this place. Everything you order will have so much flavor and seasoning in every bite that you'll hope that everyone at the table got something different to try. The Salted Caramel w/ Walnuts Waffle is from the special menu but was the perfect amount of sweetness and saltiness in each bite. The Farmers Breakfast Sandwich has eggs, pimento cheese, fried green tomato and with your choice of bacon or sausage. All these different flavors mesh together delightfully in every bite. The 3 Little Pigs contains a biscuit that's stack and layered with baked egg, ham, pimento cheese, bacon, cheddar chive grits and creamy sausage gravy. The flavors in this were absolutely crazy good. Overall, Se7en Bites is some where I always recommend to anyone looking for a new place in the Orlando area for breakfast. The staff are always welcoming, the seating areas are super cleaned and cleared within minutes of parties so everyone has a chance to get a seat to eat and there are plenty of items on the menu for everyone. I recently got brunch here with my friend and it was so good! We went on a Saturday so it was quite busy, but the wait wasn't too long. It is very spacious inside and they also have outdoor seating as an option. I got the 7th Trimester biscuit and the mac and cheese was incredible. The crushed chips and bacon added a nice texture and the biscuit was soft and buttery. I also tried my friend's chicken caesar salad wrap and I wish I had ordered one for myself because it tasted great! Next time I come I'll definitely order it. Still our favorite breakfast place ever! It is an absolute must-visit place everytime we travel down to Orlando. Their fried chicken is outstanding in how crunchy they are in their outside and how juicy they remain inside. Everybody at the table enjoyed their waffles and pancakes and biscuits. I think their grits might have been a little undersalted or underseasoned from our last visit a couple years ago, but they were still good. Oh, the gravy in one of the specials was fantastic. One complaint is the menu listing: under sides it says "egg $2.00," but they require you to order two eggs, making it $4.00. I was told it must come as two eggs--unclear why--but if that's the case, the menu should be updated to avoid misleading customers. Ambiance The place is cute with both indoor and outdoor seating. While both sandwiches were delicious, the Cheezy-Q was our favorite and may be one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Nothing fancy but we were there for the food which did deliver. There was a line- #1 sign the food is worth the wait. We were a little scared because all on the street there were towing signs. But no as we got closer in the line we moved the car to their designated parking lot in fear of being towed on my birthday. You go in then order at the counter they hand you a number and you find a spot to sit. Waitress came back pretty quick with our drinks and we were able to add to our order with her by giving her the card to run. Food was good- the waffles were light but caramelized and sweet- the chicken was juicy and the grits were well s adónde just added a little salt for my preference. While I enjoyed my food my partner said he ordered the best meal. So he absolutely enjoyed his order and my picky sister ate all her food. There was a little bit of a line outside but I was instantly greeted by a worker who explained the menu and how the process of ordering and getting your food works. You order inside at the register and then they come to the table and bring your food easy process. I ordered the "Bacon Morning Biscuit" and "Agua Fresca Strawberry Limeade". The food came quick even though it was pretty packed. The food was good but really messy, the biscuit comes apart the second you touch it. Not a fan of when food is messy but at least the food was good. The limeade was good as well but it was $7 which I thought was a little overpriced. There is also a bakery that smelled and looked good but I didn't try anything. The inside had zero gravy/creamy consistency. It was pure dry mush, the first one I received was still cold on the inside which implies it was frozen. If I am paying $15 for a tiny pot pie I would expect it to be hot and fresh. A basic chicken and waffle was $20 and came with a tiny side of grits. Very overpriced and food is very mid. I've been to se7en bites a few times before in the last 4 years or so and normally have a great experience. I love the vibe, the mission and social impact on orlando, they have been great for the community. I haven't been back to the restaurant itself in a year (or so) and recently went with my parents and I must say maybe it was the holiday rush but the service was not what I remember. The front desk staff basically told me they couldn't make any changes to orders this morning "because we are too busy". It was first thing in the AM though so maybe so, but around 930 (place opens at 9) nobody was in line to order. So they weren't "that busy". My parents liked their meals, they just wished it was quieter in there as they could hardly hear anybody at the table. My dad did say that his bacon was not crispy and was soggy as well but he's less picky about bacon than I am. We did get baked goods bc honestly that is the best part of the restaurant and they have such unique flavors and consistently tasty! I've been here like 8 times, and I swear I can't get enough!! First thing you need to know, you have to wait in a very very long line to order. The line is FOR A REASON THOUGH. Their seating inside becomes available as people leave (well duh I guess) and the line moves based off of that. Once you get inside to order, you will 100% get a seat even though the amount of cars in the lot make it seem like you won't. I've never waited more than 20 minutes to get in. Next thing you need to know, check their Instagram! They have different specials every weekend that are independent from their menu. I usually go with somebody here so that way we can split something from the weekend specials and a normal menu item. Their normal menu and prices are online and are accurate. The food is ALWAYS TO DIE FOR. Their biscuits and gravy are fantastic! Their mimosa with the lavender juice is amazing. I love that the champagne is given in a little bottle like this because it allows for more champagne than just filling up the rest of the juice cup with champagne :) their desserts are food-gasmic. I always take one to go because I'm usually extremely stuffed after my breakfast here. Staff were super helpful and very nice as well. This place really gives a farmhouse/homey feel (from the food to the seating to the decor!). Multiple tables (even larger groups) got their food before my group of three, even though we had been there twice the amount of time they had. I wonder if they were upset because I asked for HOT coffee instead of the lukewarm brew that they're had in their thermos. Their answer was no. Asked if they could heat it in the microwave. They claimed not to have one. How do you not have a microwave in a full service kitchen? They also had a salty group of four barricading the drink machine. I understand people ask for water and then get soda, but the blockade is just weird. I ordered the Cheezy-Q. The BBQ sauce was okay, but the meat was dry. There was absolutely no flavor OR cheese to be found in the mac and cheese. The best part of the sandwich was the crispy onions and I don't know that I can give much credit for that because I mean, it's fried onions. It's worth the 45+ minute wait in 85 degree humidity. Take an umbrella to fend off sun. Once inside, we placed our order. From outside, you can tell it's small inside, but they get patrons in as fast as they can. It's very clean. There were only two of us, but we ordered four meals...for leftovers ya know. We got one of the last three (when they're out for the day, they don't make more) chicken pot pie's and it did not disappoint. Lots of chicken chucks once you fork through the flakey crust. Decent food but just okay, nothing spectacular. Visiting from Baltimore and we have a lot of food places like this (Blue Moon, Miss Shirley's) with extravagant brunch. The wait was atrocious but we knew that going in. The problem isn't the wait outside (which is excruciating) but once you get in, it takes another 30+ minutes for food... either the kitchen is too small, the restaurant is too small, or they do not have enough staff. But either way, something isn't adding up. To order, it's counter service when you walk in and then you go to your table where they'll bring it. I appreciate the ease of that. The main issue with the food is that after ALL that waiting - both inside and outside the restaurant - it should be PIPPING hot... and just wasn't. My friend got fried that were lukewarm. I would've complained but not my meal. I got the mini pearl. It was good but not worth the wait, I have had this exact dish at many other restaurants. Waffles and fried chicken. Hmm what to say about Se7en Bites. I was so excited to go here as it was hyped up by many people and also featured on a Food Network show. We went on a Thursday afternoon so it was not busy at all and we parked and walked right it. There were 3 members in our party and one of us had coffee while the rest asked for cups of water (which they keep the water and soda guarded by employees so you have to get up and ask them for more). The coffee was cold so I went up and asked for a fresh pour and they said that the creamer and cold syrup was cooling it, which was not the case they just weren't keeping the coffee fresh. So we sat down at a table and put our provided number stand on the table. The scenery is very farmhouse and open. After being seated for quite a while (30+ minutes) we noticed our food still had not come out even though people had walked in and got their food after 10-15 minutes. We ended up waiting about an hour for our food which there was no excuse for as they chose to serve others faster who had more involved dishes while ours was basic (pulled pork sandwich, biscuits and gravy and the one pictured). Maybe they were mad cause I said the coffee was cold or they preferred serving others rather than the patient waiters. Now when the food arrived it was decent, but nothing special for the wait we underwent and the price. I can go to Waffle House and get bacon with biscuits and gravy just as good for half the cost. Maybe it was a bad day for them, even when they had like 20 employees standing around not doing anything in and out of the kitchen, but I don't think we will be back. read more
