Finally, checked out another place on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. My friend and I ordered the mini pearl and 7th trimester, which were both loaded and flavorful so we definitely had some leftovers for later. The service here is great and they offer some brunch specials as well. You are able to order your food up front, find a table, and then have it served to you. The only thing is that they do not take reservations so you have to wait outside in line for a seat. There is plenty of seating inside so the line can move somewhat quickly. After binge watching The Bear this past week, I was curious if Orlando had many Michelin rated restaurants. Turns out they do, but this one has also been featured on Triple D. We love brunch spots so the 30 drive to downtown wasn't too bad. We waited outside in the hundred degree heat for about 30 min, which was much faster than we we thought it would be based on the length of the line when we walked up. First impressions, atmosphere, pretty basic (intentionally), but very clean. Staff, excellent. Every single staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and genuinely happy to be there. We read that the pot pie is a must, and while in line, they came out and said they only had 16 remaining so we ordered 2 to go because it's just too hot in the daytime to enjoy that and we didn't want to miss out. Can't wait to try it this evening for dinner. What we ordered to eat in: Me: Se7enBenedict buttermilk garlic biscuit, over medium egg, crispy green tomato, applewood smoked bacon, topped with peppercorn hollandaise with a side of cheddar chive grits. 10/10, it was absolutely delicious! Every single bite but I couldn't finish it all, so breakfast tomorrow. My fiancé: A lil' bit of everything THE BEST OF ALL WE DO... "almost famous" buttermilk fried chicken, buttermilk garlic biscuit smothered with creamy thyme sausage gravy. Bacon. 2 over hard eggs and a side of cheddar chive grits. Ok, controversial post here but this place is overrated imo. I was part of a group of 14 and we had no problems waiting for a table. The guy that met us a the door was very rude. When we finally got inside he shouted at us to order first and then take a seat. Ok dude. Let us get our bearings and look around. I've been wanting to try Se7en Bites for a while and finally made it there! We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. There was a line out of the door, but it moved pretty quickly and they had some shade and water available if needed. They give you a menu to review before you head inside. After about 15 minutes, we headed inside and placed our order at the counter. Everyone working was very friendly. Once seated, drinks came quickly. I ordered a peach lavender mimosa which was yummy and generous with the champagne. Our food arrived shortly after; I had the Three Little Pigs which was biscuits with ham, egg, bacon, pimento cheese, cheddar grits, and their sausage thyme gravy. This was so yummy; their gravy is delish and all of the flavors worked well together. My bf ordered the 7th trimester which was bacon, biscuit, egg, and their 5 cheese mac and cheese with potato bacon crumble. This was also really good and their mac and cheese is so good! We both enjoyed our meals. Their baked goods were on display and looked great, but we were too full with leftovers to bring home already, but I plan to try some on our next visit. We wanted to try the chicken pot pie, but it sells out early so that will happen on a future visit also! Jesus Christ!!!!!! If the damn spoon was edible I would have at that also with no hesitation. As a matter of fact I should take that spoon and hit myself over the head with it for delaying to come to this place after having it pop up in searches over the last year or so. Moreover, the food was delicious. All four of us left full and content! I had the 7th trimester and that was delicious. The person that took my order told me to add a piece of crispy chicken to my order and that it would be so much better that way so I listen and followed through and that made the difference. Chicken was super tender. Mac&cheese was Al dente, mimosa was decent and the tater tots was crispy and delicious. My other 2 friends were vegetarian but they enjoyed what they ordered also and it was just a delight to read the owners stories on the website and see it all come to fruition when you enter the restaurant, see them, then order the food. One of my favorite brunch places in town. I stumbled upon this place with a couple of friends. There was quite a line outside, but we were seated relatively quickly. I would definitely recommend going early. The parking lot gets filled quite quickly, and the line is long even before the opening time when I went. The variety of desserts they have was amazing. My favorite dessert I had was the bread pudding. It was decadent and not overly sweet. When entering, there are many seasonal items drawn on butcher paper attached to the wall. I used to love coming here so I was so happy to come back when I was visiting Orlando. Something has changed though. The food was still good but the customer service has dropped. I ordered a hot tea but was never asked if I needed any sweetener in it. So I get my $5 drink with zero honey and when I ask for honey afterwards it's a whole big deal and I'm getting attitude from the girl at the bakery because the honey sticks are expensive. So I guess I shouldn't enjoy my drink because they didn't do their job. I'll fix it at home because honey is expensive. And when I ask her about what's in the hummingbird cake she tells me with attitude again. I don't know what I did to her but she ruined my experience, so thanks for that. So go and enjoy your food but don't order hot tea or go to the bakery. read more

I came here just after landing in Orlando. I was worried that there would be a long line and long wait, but fortunately for me, I didn't have to wait that long. Wether you're dining in or doing takeout, you will have to wait in the same line. Once you place your order, they give you a number and will deliver your food to your table. My son ordered their Se7en Benedict and I ordered their Minnie Pearl. The Se7en Benedict came with a biscuit, fried egg, fried green tomato, applewood smoked bacon, and then topped with hollandaise sauce. I had a few bites and it was good. Definitely filling. I also ordered a side of fried green tomatoes which were also pretty good. The Minnie Pearl was out of this world. Bring your appetite if you're going to be ordering this one. You get two Pearl sugar waffles with hot honey covered fried chicken breast, a fried egg, and then topped with vanilla bean butter syrup, and then served with a side of the most amazing tasting cheddar chive grits I have ever had. The waffles used here aren't our ordinary waffles used in a waffle maker. These are thick and very dense. I've had similar waffles like these in Cincinnati before and are my absolute favorite waffles. I need to find something like this back home in Chicago. The chicken was fried to perfection and the hot honey complemented the sweetness Del the vanilla bean butter syrup perfectly. I usually like to try new places every time I visit different cities. There are a lot of really cool little brunch places in Orlando! This is one of them! We came on a Sunday afternoon and waited in line to get in. The line didn't take too long but we were glad it was nice cool day in Florida! I'm not so sure I would've wanted to wait in the Florida heat for an hour for a table. The host at the door was really nice & kind & just seemed happy to be there! She did a great job of keeping everyone informed of the wait & handing out menus. The food inside was excellent! The portions while not overly huge are definitely filling! The chicken & waffles were great and so were the biscuits and gravy! That gravy was excellent and so savory and wonderful. Service was good, you don't exactly have an assigned server so if you need something you just kind of flag down whoever is wandering around, there's a lot of staff it wasn't hard to find someone. My only complaint about this place is the ambience & the food wait time. It's pretty loud so don't expect to really carry on a conversation. While the food was great it took a solid 45 mins to come out from the time we ordered. The desserts here stand out! We shared a piece of this amazingly rich Biscoff cake that was wonderful! Se7en Bites has been serving delicious southern comfort food for years. There is a reason TripleD pulled up and they on the Michelin Guide. We have been coming here since they opened and you had to get there bright and early to ensure a table. Even with a larger location on the weekends that can still be true. I am glad to see them become a local staple. Every dish is so filling and each bite flavorful. Whether it is a bakery item (personal favorite is the Hazelnut Coffee Cake) or one of the many belly busting breakfast items (The Southern puts me into food coma every time) it is going to taste good and fill you up. The service is also consistently great and the team there does a good job of getting the food out quickly and getting people seated as the line builds up outside. read more

Starting with the service it is a quick service style restaurant where you wait in line and order at a counter. The line is outside and can get hot. Once our food was ordered they brought our food and drinks out pretty quickly. The cinnamon roll was amazing. The orange blossom sweet tea is another highlight for 7 bites! I had the chick fil ya which I believe was a special with fried chicken, fried pickles, and pimento cheese. It was good but I'd probably rather have the chicken biscuit or the mini pearls. Montana got the 7 Benedict. It was very good the runny egg and holandaise were a great combo. We initially sat inside but it was really cold so we decided to move outside. Had breakfast at Seven Bites this morning and it is was as rich and over-the-top as I remembered, in all the best ways. Hubby and I shared a breakfast plate, the moo moo Buckaroo (spelling and memory may be off there). Definitely a rich plate and perfect to share with someone else. The gravy (or sauce?) is delicious, the biscuit is a piece of heaven, the egg was cooked perfectly to give the ooey gooey yolk that makes it even more delicious of an experience and the grits were outstanding. I'm not even a fan of chicken fried steak and I ate every bit of it. Before leaving we grabbed a few items from the bakery counter - I think this is an even stronger area for Seven Bites. The oatmeal cream pies are one of my favorite treats. This time I did a lavender shortbread and a peanut butter cookie to bring home. Loved it! We immediately agreed we'd get something on the way out. I ordered the 7 platter breakfast. I opted to not have the grits and was told they don't sub with anything which I was fine with. I got my meal with the scratch made sausage since I wanted to try it but also got a side of fried green tomatoes. I then order a coffee which they have a flavor which the one they had was salted caramel dark chocolate something or other. We got our food brought out to us. It was a lot! I didn't even finish it. First, the coffee was delicious! The biscuit was so fluffy inside. The fried green tomatoes had a thick batter but it was so crunchy. I enjoyed it. My friend didn't as much because she wanted to taste more of the tomato. I wasn't the biggest fan of their sausage but it was a big serving. I'll start of by saying I have been a long time supporter of se7en bites and have visited more times than I can count. I remember when it was a small, from scratch startup and before the tv shows. This last visit, however, was not up to par. My wife and I along with my son arrived a little after 9am. No line. Walked up and placed an order. When I made my order I noticed the entree stated eggs over medium. I asked the cashier to please cook my eggs all the way through so they are completely done. He acknowledged. We sit down and my wife asks why is there a 75 cents surcharge for a pot pie to go order we placed. I go up to the register and am told that's just how we do our to go orders. I finally speak to a manager and he tells me it's to offset the cost of the to go utensils, bags and such. Strike 1. How are you telling me you need to charge extra for takeout items when the cost of me sitting down and patronizing your restaurant costs you a hell of a lot more. Labor, overhead, etc.. No worries. They make me whole by taking the charge off and refunding my money. Next we get our food and my eggs are not cooked all the way through. It's slightly runny eggs. Strike 2 I go back up to the counter and another lady addresses my concern and says get can fix the eggs. I tell her it's also now running on the biscuit. She has the gall to challenge me and says well the eggs are cooked over hard. Google and myself disagree. "Eggs over hard" means fried eggs that have been cooked on both sides, with the yolks cooked until they are firm and no longer runny. Then she asks if I would like the whole meal re-made. I say yes. I then get my "re-made" food in 3 minutes. Now I look at the plate and everything is good...except now I have raw bacon. Strike 3 At this point I'm done. I push the bacon to the side and eat the rest. I then ask for a box to take the rest of my wife and sons food home. You get to get THOSE BOXES for FREE apparently. Life hack for anyone going here. If you are going to sit down and eat here, but want to order something to go just order everything to the table and ask for the FREE BOXES they give you that they other wise charge you for if you ask for it to go. This place has really gone down hill fast from what I remember in past visits. Rude management, sub par food, lack of understanding of food preparation. Last point on the food the breading from the chicken completely falls off the chicken and the biscuits fall apart into crumbs when trying to split them. I'm really not a person that reviews a lot unless the experience just totally underwhelmed me. I won't be revisiting here ever again and it's been totally crossed of my recommendation list for family, friends and visitors. read more

I have been to this restaurant multiple times and have consistently had positive experiences with the friendly and attentive staff. Weekends tend to be very busy, so expect a wait. If you choose outdoor seating, you will likely be seated more quickly. The line usually forms for indoor seating, which is what I opted for this time due to the heat. When we sat down it was very loud inside or at least this time that I went. My friend and I had trouble hearing each other at first but we just started speaking louder so we could hear each other. One of the reasons I like coming here is so I can come with my doggie, you are allowed to bring them along with you when sitting outside. I love that when I come with my doggie, they bring out a bowl of water for him which is nice and thoughtful of them. When you enter, you'll order at the counter and then find a table. There's also a separate section for bakery items. On this visit, I had the 7th Trimester and a cold brew. I usually stick with the 7th Trimester because I love their mac and cheese. The food is tasty, but I find the restaurant a bit overhyped. The biscuits were a bit dry and most of the food arrived at room temperature--only the egg was warm. Despite this, everything still tasted good. I'm unsure if this issue was unique to this visit or a recurring problem, as I don't remember the food temperature from previous visits. This was the opposite! The biscuit was fried on the outside, and very flaky on the inside, with a gravy that could have been eaten with a spoon! Even before debuting on DDD this Orlando icon had been filling bellies with happiness. I remember when there was space in the original location for maybe 2 tables. They've since grown into a location that can move people through, and you can still expect a wait on weekends. That being said, it's never long as they turn people over quickly. It's hard to describe the food. It's southern comfort on crack. The way they combine flavors and put things together you would not expect just become next level experiences. I'd recommend starting with desert because if you don't, there will likely not be room.
