The new Scrubs is new. Hopefully awesome too.

*Scrubs Cafe Reopens in a New Location* https://scrubscafe.ucdavis.edu/news/scrubs-cafe-reopens-in-a-new-location "Scrubs Cafe is reopening in a new location, at the corner of Garrod Drive and Veterinary Medicine Drive." I would never have any burning desire to dine here, but it's more than convenient for folks in veterinary medicine at UC Davis. That's good because it's also the only option out there as well, unless one is willing to drive. It's another brand new building closer to the teaching hospital and it looks all sorts of fresh and clean. Some has changed. Some is still the same ol' cafeteria. There is also a much more sanitary walk-up window for those (for instance) coming out of surgery with dirty scrubs (ooh, see how they did that?) on. Not an uncommon sight to see many patrons in the cafe donning clean scrubs also. And no, it's not a Starbucks. They just fling Starbucks branded drinks at you and charge accordingly.

I came here last week for lunch with some coworkers. I've never been to the old Scrubs Cafe, but this one is nice and modern. Lots of windows and natural light - great for studying or relaxing. CON: The ordering process was a little confusing; it's not clear which line to stand in or where to pick up your food. PRO: I got the Scrubs Burger and it was pretty tasty. I think a few coworkers were jealous. ;) It cost about $9, which is a fair price for the size. Everyone else's dishes looked good too, so I'd definitely come back to try the other items.

Scrubs is a campus cafe, deli, grill, and specialty coffe shop in the Health Science District. Well, at least that is what it says on the website. The most interesting part of Scrubs is the Taco Bar. I usually get the taco salad or taco burrito combo, which comes with a soda. There are pre-packaged salad and sandwiches. There are regular beef, garden, and vegetarian burgers. Also you can go to their website and place your lunch order online. What I recommend: -- Taco Burrito Combo for $8 -- Taco Salad

This place is right near Med Sci - I went in before a midterm to grab a quick bite to eat - it was pretty crowded, not super well lit, but clean, at least. I grabbed a chicken bean burrito and waited in line - if you've been to the Coho or any kind of cafeteria it's got the same cashier system. It's quick as long as there isn't a big crowd. The cashier was very nice! The burrito was soggy and was way heavier on the beans than the chicken. The tortilla was leaking red sauce and it was just too messy. Definitely wouldn't recommend it. There are other food options there though - burgers, salads, etc. You can also always get the coho to go stuff from here too. It's in a decent location and the employees are nice but that's about all that it has going for it. Would rather just drive toward UMall or something else nearby.

Scrubs Burger. Quite big and delicious. Definitely recommend.

I've been here for both breakfast and lunch and both times I have been satisfied. The breakfast burrito was pretty good and only a little over $4. The Scrubs burger during lunch hours is delicious and would highly recommend it, definitely worth it even though it's one of the pricier items on the menu. I didn't have a problem with the ordering system and I like how the place is clean, well organized, spacious, and well lit.

I enjoyed the new Scrubs Cafe. I went for lunch and really wasn't sure what to expect. I got the neopolitan lasagna and I felt like it was a good portion for what I paid. Two of my coworkers got the Scrubs burger which looked very good and I'm thinking I should try next time. There is lots of natural light from the walls of windows which was nice. I do feel there is a bit of a traffic flow issue. It wasn't clear where I was supposed to go to order or line up. Hopefully, some additional signage can make it easier to understand where you're supposed to go.

Sorry, my lens is shot, but pictured are fresh greens, quinoa, edamame, grilled cauliflower, hb egg, fresh parm with balsamic vinegar & oil.

I'm a UC Davis staff member and I finally made my way from the other side of campus today to try out the NEW Scrubs Cafe. The salad bar has a nice selection of fresh ingredients and the price was reasonable. I was really glad they had quinoa as an option as well. Depending on what you want to eat, it's a little confusing trying to figure out what "station" to order from. However, aside from that, Scrubs service was really fast and friendly, and so far the food is a great value.

The same mediocre options every day and overpriced unless you are a student. Sadly, you don't have many options on that side of campus.

If you know, it is already incredibly hard taking an autistic child to a restaurant. The manager thought it was ok to tell my 13 year old to put on my autistic son's shoes..... (why not ask me, the mom?) As my son is screaming and heaving a full meltdown over shoes now, the manager continues to apologize because there were possibly glass shards on the ground in his restaurant. If that is the case, maybe someone else should be notified as that is a serious safety hazard and my son would get cut anyway as he has sandals that expose his feet, as did my daughter. I will never eat here and will make sure to let all my friends with and without kids with disabilities to never eat here. What an unacceptable excuse this place made me and my family feel. If I could I would rate it 0 stars. Horrible management!!

Amazing how their prices have only gone up about $2 after almost 7 years, including after being featured on the Food Network in Guy Fieri's show "Best Bite in Town" (which they won with the Thai Sausage)! Anyways, it's a snug little shop where the food is prepped right in front of you. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Dog and my wife ordered the veggie chili. Our food was prepared quickly, and both items were delicious! The hotdog was about a footlong - thin but very tasty! Came with a full strip (or two) of crispy bacon and toasted to perfection. The chili was also very flavorful with a bit of heat to it! Would absolutely recommend this place for a quick bite you can eat while you're walking around downtown. Will be coming again soon!

You'll see the truck around Sacramento and Davis. I tried them out a few weeks ago. I asked the cashier what was their best seller. He mentioned that they are known for their lamb. Well they are called Smokin'Ewe BBQ. So I gave that a try. I have had lamb before but never smoked BBQ. My order came out quickly. All the hot items came out hot and the cold was cold as it should be. The lamb was sliced thin. All so tender, melt in your mouth texture and tenderness. Lamb in general is gamey tasting. This lamb had the typical gamey taste with a deep bbq smokiness. At first bite, my tastebuds were confused. After several bites, they connected to my brain and luvin it. Traditional lamb flavors melded with smoky BBQ goodness. The plate came with potato salad, baked beans, and a bread roll. I also received a container of what looked like sauce that resembled a herb seasoned sour cream. Being LI, I didn't eat it. The potato salad was traditional and served deliciously chilled. Luved it. I forgot to ask if the beans contained HFCS, so I passed on eating it. It looked and smelled good though. They had other menu items besides lamb such as tri tip, brisket, ribs, chicken, pulled pork and hot links served as an entree plate $19 or a sandwich $14. 3 ribs $10. Mac n cheese $8-14. Sides $7. Nachos $8-14. Even the mac cheese was smoked low and slow. Mmm.
