Bar and sports - The image depicts a bar with a dark ceiling and subdued lighting. Multiple TV screens are mounted on the walls, showing sports broadcasts. The bar counter is visible in the background, lined with bottles and glasses. The wall behind the bar is decorated with framed pictures and memorabilia. Several patrons are seated at the bar, and the overall atmosphere appears relaxed and casual.

It's a bar. BBQ restaurant was hidden in the back. Food was good. It was loud but again it's a bar.

Cheeseburger and side of fries

Usually I would only go to Wunderbar for the nightlife, so I've only tried the food once so far. Cheeseburger - B Decent burger. Patty is quite juicy and overall the burger tastes pretty good. I like the Romaine lettuce for crunch and some additional flavor, plus they add some tasty BBQ sauce for some sweetness. Fries - B- Over salted, but I love the long skinny fries. $5 is a bit pricy for a side of fries but the portion is quite large (enough for 2 people) Hope to come back for some more grub like the sandwiches and wings!

Do you see any crispy onion? I don't.

It was so bland it tasted like someone threw some bottled BBQ sauce on it and shoved it in the oven. Brisket should have a smoke ring if properly smoked and this did not. Hopefully the cannoli will fill me up cuz I couldn't eat the sandwich.

Food truck mac and cheese - A rectangular plastic container contains pork belly mac and cheese, with cooked pasta coated in cheese sauce, topped with seasoned pork pieces and a light brown crust. The container is placed on a white surface, with part of a water bottle visible in the background.

So the food truck was at my job doing a run for a program called cafeteria on the weekends. Well u would like they would bring the beat out to secure steady income. Well from my perspective it was not the BBQ I want. Seemed very old and taste was bland. The cooks must have used Can cheese. The service was exceptional. Hygiene can be better, since the person cashier was serving orders to.

Trip Tip Sandwich, sauce on the side - A sandwich featuring sliced cooked meat, likely roast beef or pork, placed on a bun inside a white plastic container. The container is open, revealing the meat and bread, and is situated on a dark surface with a blue lanyard visible in the background.

Got the Tri Tip sandwich from their food truck. It was great. A ton of meat, good flavor, and tender. Would definitely have it again

They had a spicy barbecue chicken and rice bowl special. I got the mac & cheese with that chicken on it. It was amazing! $14

Yo, is this place ever available on Uber Eats consistently? I can't tell if they hate online orders or not, but this is harder to read than Arabic bruh

I've been around Davis long enough to see this building go through 3 different names!…read more We heard that as its current name it had great food so we decided to try it out. We got there right at opening and the server/hostess, Aurora, greeted us with a warm smile and welcome. There are two choices of spots to sit at - low tables/booths or high top tables with stools. We opted for a low table. I ordered the Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries and my friend ordered the Chinichurri Tri-Tip sandwich with a side salad. When our meals came out, we were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes! I feel like I had a lot of fries on my plate and the sandwich was stuffed with meat! The side salad and tri-tip was pretty hefty too. My sandwich was DELICIOUS! I was only able to eat half so I left with half for lunch the next day. My friend was the same. I love when I can get two meals out of one!! The restaurant carries a very fun vibe. I can imagine it is so lively when it is packed! There is an area in the back that gives off a speakeasy vibe. Overall, awesome restaurant! Great food, awesome service and chill vibe.

The Cowboy Cuban is the next best thing I've found on the menu and worth ordering. The house dressing is excellent too. The Down the Hatch burger was decent, just didn't have quite enough flavor for my taste -- not a reason to skip the place, but I'd go Cowboy Cuban first. Love coming with the dog when weather permits.

Can't comment on service either; will likely update when trying in person. I'm kind of teetering in between 3 to 4 stars but ultimately decided with 4. The first comment I want to make is that the food is expensive but the portions are really big. I think that you can definitely eat at least two meals out of a single order. Primarily, the reason for the 4 star consideration is because of how big the portions are. I got a mixed BBQ rice plate with the short rib, beef, and chicken katsu. It was definitely good food but could be better. I think it was missing some sauce and the food was SOOOO salty. The star of the show was definitely the short ribs and they had a nice balance of fat to meat ratio and went great with the rice. The beef was a little bit on the chewier side and the katsu was a bit dry. The sauce that they did provide was a sort of sweet and sour sauce but just didn't pair all that well with the meat. The sweetish-tangy contrasted quite poorly but this is a just personal taste so can't dock too much for it. Overall, I think it is good and I will try to go in-person. Recommend if you're a fan of the cuisine or in the area! Big portion, fair price. Decent food.

They have paper menus but it's best to check online (QR code at the tables) because at least one of their burgers was not on the printed menu. I wanted to try the Tommy Gobbler, the 2025 entry in the Davis Burger Battle. The menu warned that substitutions were not allowed during the contest. I don't eat pork and the ingredients included bacon but they said they could make it without the bacon for me even though the contest is still going on. It was a turkey burger with brie cheese, arugula, cranberry sauce and a savory herb mayo. It was phenomenal. I want to return soon to try last year's entry that won the challenge, their Tommy's Turkey Banh Mi. My husband stuck with his favorite Swiss 'N' Shroomer Burger. The fries are different than they were a few years back, but just as good, if not better. Very crispy. One orders at the bar and they give you a number to place on your table. We chose to eat outside. It didn't take long for our food to arrive. We both asked for knives to cut our burgers. When clearing my plate the waitress asked how I liked the Tommy Gobbler. Loved it. She loves it too.
