I will be back for the Oktoberfest. I've had in a can but not on draft yet. There's a very nice patio seating with games and shade. The food is really good and of course the beer too. The service was excellent as well. All the staff were friendly and took care of our table.

Their own beers are lost in a sea of "guest beers".

Many years ago this was a great brewery that served some food. I would fill my cooler with six packs of Marzen and wheat beers every time I drove through Davis. Sadly, today its a restaurant that serves some beer. A few of those beers are made on-site. However it doesnt seem to be a priority. You can't easily tell them apart on their menue from other beers they pour. They were out of the Merzen when I went. It took them minutes to pour over foaming pilsner. Beers to go? Only four bottles of a Belgium under a bunch of seltzer. Such a sad state for one of California's older breweries. Food was OK. Be ready to order by scanning a QR code.

Sudwerk Brewing is such a gem in Davis. There's plenty of parking, which already makes the visit stress-free. When you walk in, you can either grab a seat at the bar or order at the front counter -- they'll give you a number and bring everything right to your table. Super easy. The space itself is awesome -- tons of seating both inside and outside, with a variety of options like around a fire pit or picnic table style. They even have an arcade room, which seemed pretty busy. It definitely has family-friendly vibes -- when I was there, it looked like a whole youth soccer team was celebrating after a game. Food-wise, everything we tried was great. They have gluten-free options, including amazing flatbreads that don't taste "gluten-free" at all, and the Reuben sandwich was seriously one of the best I've had in a while. The menu said the Reuben had been featured on The Food Network! And of course, you can't forget the beer -- tons of options, from crisp lagers to creative seasonals, all brewed on-site. I had a flight so I could try four different beers. They also have wine, spirits, and other non-alcoholic options including mocktails! Overall, Sudwerk is the kind of place you can come to relax, hang out, grab a bite, and enjoy a great beer -- whether you're with family, friends, or flying solo at the bar. Highly recommend!

I've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed, this time I went just for some mimosas and my experience was great.

Have been to Sudwerk a few times for work events. Always a positive experience. Parking is plentiful (although there is a rush during the week around 5:30p). Order food at the front station, pick a number, pick a seat. Drinks can be ordered at the bar or at the front station. They have self serve water, utensils and condiments in a couple of spaces. Overall, large seating areas inside and out, a few gaming stations (think pinball). Food items (which do rotate) Spicy chicken sandwich: 4.2/5 - more of a Thai heat style, which dark meat chicken - pretty tasty, although I felt like it was too much bun for the sandwich. - fries were solid Large pretzel: 4.7/5 - good if you are into the soft pretzels. Stone ground mustard was a nice touch Good brews on tap, happy hour, quick service, pleasant staff. Check em out!

I truly think that this is the MOST incredible venue to have any sort of formal function. The food, the customer service, the price, the accommodations, and the sheer pleasure of being so welcomed goes above and beyond anything we could have asked for. My family and I rented the private brewery hall for my graduation reception this past Wednesday evening and oh my goodness - we were blown away by everything. The catering menu is incredible, with several accommodations for both vegetarian and vegan guests as well as wonderful cooked fresh and high-quality dishes and ingredients. Everything from tables, chairs, projector, speakers, and the furniture all offered in the space were wonderful. Parking was abundant and overall atmosphere was pleasant, light, and friendly. Needless to say- THIS IS THE PLACE you have been looking for. To Ted and Elsa - THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, we had an AMAZINGLY time!

Hadn't been to Sudwerk in a while and had some friends visiting and since the restaurant is open we could have more options for lunch. Plenty of parking for the brewery. There are plenty of tables inside and outside and you order at a front desk which took a little longer than being able to order from your table and there was a long line out the door. They offer a good selection of beers and the food came out pretty quickly. The restrooms are in the back away from the main area and there was an area for a band for live music.

We go in as a big soccer group. Dads get beers that they all enjoy, moms get salads that we all enjoy. There is plenty of parking, patio space and so much great customer service. Bathrooms are clean, something on the menu for everyone, its a great place to go as a big group.

The service, food, and drinks were all excellent! They offered a spicy vegan tofu dish with a fresh salad and vegan ciabatta bread. They also offer vegan mushroom sliders. We also enjoyed a mimosa and a non-alcoholic beer. The bartender and server were super friendly. This place is kid-friendly too and they even have a giant Connect Four game outside. Great atmosphere!

Had a great time for a quick beer and a bite with a couple appetizers. The staff here is always amazing and welcoming from the very start. I love their patience in helping me select the perfect beer. I LOVE LOVE the hoppy beer - ordered an Overgrowth West Coast DIPA. But usually I get a UC Davis Gunrock IPA. The DIPA is higher alcohol so the serving is a bit smaller. The Gunrock is 16oz. We also shared a giant pretzel and the artichoke jalapeño dip. The restaurant has such a nice vibe. They sometimes have live music so check their calendar. Outside there are lots of tables and fire pits and heaters - but on a night like tonight it was still too cold to for us hang out under the stars. There was people bundled up out there though. (When the weather warms up I really like this patio.) Be ready for the kids to ask for quarters because there are pinballs and a small games area. And if you are ever looking for a room to rent or tables to reserve for a party or group be sure to ask here! They have great service and good food!

I like to come here with my coworkers after work to enjoy drinks and bites. They have a easy system of ordering through a QR code, having a server, bring you your items, and then paying right through on your phone. Another option is just to go to the front place an order and you're given a number and then you sit and get your items. I've tried both ways and find it easy and customer friendly. I love that you can sit indoors or outdoors. Either way is comfortable and cozy. There's plenty of parking. The bathrooms are really clean. I do like the selection of drinks offered. I also love ordering the pretzel, all the other bites are really delicious. Overall I recommend that you check this place out.

The Cloudbreaker immediately met my taste buds with bitterness and then left my tongue completely numb for several minutes. Perhaps those sensations would have paid off if they were followed by a calming or THC-like effect, but I didn't experience any change in mental state. The comfortable atmosphere saves this establishment from 1 star. Dim lights, leather couches, chill music, and colorful tiki wall art make for a decent study spot or date night. However, if you're hanging out at a business, you gotta support it, and to support it, you gotta buy something -- I can't see myself buying anything kava-related with any ounce of enjoyment. My son, who is three and on the autism spectrum, briefly picked up a loose electrical cord that was lying on the ground under the patio stairs (I have a photo of how exposed it was). Instead of calmly addressing the situation, Gordon walked over in a rude, irritated tone and said, "Can you do something?" I told him I was already handling it and redirecting my son, but as he walked away he started cursing under his breath, using foul language that was clearly audible right next to my child. There is no excuse for swearing like that in front of a three‑year‑old, especially when the unsafe cord was left out in the open by the restaurant in the first place. Whether or not my son is autistic, families should never be subjected to hostility and foul language from the owner of a restaurant. If you offer outdoor seating and leave cords and other hazards accessible, you should expect children to be curious and respond with basic courtesy, not anger. The food itself was mediocre, and after that interaction it honestly didn't matter. This was supposed to be a special birthday outing, and his attitude and language completely ruined it.

But some of the reasons are self-inflicted... the dance floor needs more space and the DJ sounded like he had a generic club playlist on shuffle. Forgot to close my tab so I met the bartender the next morning with a lovely 20% surcharge. I know that's the standard for many bars (even though I see it as a mere cash grab), but 20% feels like such an insult for the subpar experience here. If you're a student at UC Davis, you should still give this place a visit. I'm sure it's a blast for the average 21 year old. It's also a ritual in your undergrad years: experiencing the crappy club scene in order to learn how overrated it is.
