Good Mexican food, a great patio for outdoor eating. Located across from the Amtrak Station in downtown Davis. We walked in on a Friday evening. Our party of 6 was seated promptly. Our server, Brandon was attentive and very helpful. Chips & salsa as well as coloring sheets and crayons were delivered to the table promptly. We ordered the kids food right away and the kid's platters came as we were sipping drinks and ordering our entrees. A nice varied menu of steak, beef, chicken, fish items. And a wide selection of bar drinks, wine, beer and NA beverages. I got the steak taco salad. Nice shell, lots of meat. My BH got a pork enchilada platter. The enchilada was stuffed with meat. A thoroughly enjoyable meal and visit.

Chicken Enchilada with Mole and Green Chile Verde Burrito (mostly beans)

I didn't grow up with any sisters, but if I did, I kinda wish my three sisters cooked like this. I would have been even more of a Gordito growing up though. I ordered a combo with a chicken enchilada with mole and a green chile verde burrito. The chicken enchilada was great and the mole was well done. The green chile verde got lost with all of the beans in the burrito. I'd say if you want the green chile verde "taste", to get it on its own outside of a burrito. The menu had lots of good looking items... I think tacos in California are the best in the world, but decided on something a little different on this day. Service was great and for a lunch, we were in and out very quickly. Oh, I almost forgot about the salad. It was so fresh and the dressing was super flavorful. You normally don't win friends with salad, but this place did!

I visited Davis this past weekend so I had to stop by Tres Hermanas. I love this spot! They have amazing indoor and outdoor patio seating. The patio seating is colorful, lively. We sat outside since it was nice out. The menu caters to vegetarians and pescatarians well. I got a tres hermanas house margarita and guacamole to start. They also brought out chips and salsa. They guacamole was fresh and margarita was classic, delicious, easy to drink. I got enchiladas verdes with the house salad with cilantro dressing. I love the house salad- simple, fresh veg, and the cilantro dressing is light, a little tangy. The enchiladas were incredible. They're a little spicy, for me, perfect spice level. Beans and the rice were seasoned well. The service was great, they checked on our table a couple times even though it was busy. Fantastic experience, I highly recommend stopping by if you're in Davis!

This is my second time here and my husband I truly enjoy it. We brought friends for their first time and they also really enjoyed it. We were seated outside on the patio which is festive with color, there is lots of space and the warm night made it perfect. We started with margaritas. I got the pomegranate lime and it was delicious, not sweet and not tart. My husband and our friend each had a couple of Cadillacs and Im pretty sure they could have had another. My friend got the fajitas and it looked like enough food for two people, my husband got the enchilada plate, I got tortilla soup and the girls got bean and cheese burritos and added steak, everything was great. Our waitress was so accommodating, especially as friends joined us, she welcomed them took their orders and made us feel taken care of. We will definitely be going back when we go back for our next soccer tournament.

First time here - there was seating inside & outside & very colorful. It was a bit of a wait for 2 people, but it was really busy for a midweek evening. The salsa was flavorful & hot, which I liked. I ordered the flautas - very good, but they got a little soggy after they cooled off. As for the staff, our waitress kind of disappeared after taking our order, but there was another gentleman who helped us who was nice. Overall, I'll be back!

The food here is delicious and the servers are prompt and if you visit regularly they all take the time to know your name. It's a popular Davis eatery and a go to place for our family. Great indoor seating but if the weather is nice the patio is best - they have heaters and umbrellas.

Outstanding service!! All the employees were friendly and helpful. It was like they had our food and drinks before we even asked for it! The decor is bright and festive. Plenty of seating inside and out. Authentic dishes and flavors. Specials and regular menu- everything was SO GOOD! When we were headed there, we thought it was a restaurant we had been to before and then when we arrived, we realized it was different. We were so pleased because everything was delicious. It was a great new spot to find. There's a parking lot right across the street so you don't have to search for parking

Crispy taco and chicken enchiladas plate! Delicious!

Stopped here for lunch, the host and our server Arlette were both very nice! Clean interior and spacious outdoor patio. Ordered the crispy chicken taco and tamale and two chicken enchiladas. The portions were huge and the food was delicious! Both came with a large serving of rice and beans. We had a small salad with cilantro salad dressing and it was delicious! The chips and salsa were really good too! Couldn't finish one of the plates so had to bring some home. Will definitely be back; if you're in Davis looking for great Mexican food give Tres Hermanas a try!

    Al pastor tacos!! Omg!!! Delicious!!

Absolutely recommend this place! I'm surprised I didn't give this place five stars since the first time I came here which was about 2 years ago, since then we have become regulars and I have to say that nothing has changed! The food, the people, the drinks, and the atmosphere are all still amazing! When you come in you're welcomed by staff and they allow you to choose a table that you're comfortable with then they bring out their delicious salsa and chips to enjoy while you check out the menu! I've had their guacamole and chips, shrimp cocktail tostadas, chicken chimichangas, fajitas, mole enchiladas, potato, al pastor, and steak tacos! Everything I've had is fresh and tasty! My favorite of all has got to be their chile verde!!! It so the BEST I've had from a restaurant and I frequently come to tres hermanas just for it! Their soups are all delicious - my favorite is their lentil soup. If you get a chance to pick a soup or salad, try a soup! They have different spice levels of salsas and if you're looking for a good spicy salsa ask for their Diabla salsa!! It will not disappoint! As for drinks, they serve them strong and tasty! Just the way I like it! Top two favorites are their cantaritos and their strawberry margaritas on the rocks with a sugar rim! We've tried many different Mexican restaurants and this place stands out by far. If you're looking for good vibes, delicious Mexican food and you're in Davis, stop by here once and I promise you'll be back again and again! Thank you Tres Hermanas Davis for always delivering deliciousness! -Jamie

Not the most collegiate place, but they serve decent food and are pretty quick! We came here on a Thursday around 5pm - not too busy. We were promptly seated and got some complimentary chips and salsa (they refill if you ask!). It took a little while for our orders to be taken, but once they were, the food came out pretty quick - within 5-10min for 3 dishes. We were seated right next to where they call in the orders so we got to hear quite a bit. At one point, it appeared that someone was getting annoyed because she was being flagged down to bring out utensils and more chips and she said, "What am I, the host? Someone else do it" and walked off. Maybe not something to say loud enough for patrons to hear... Anyway, I ordered the ensalata nortena with shrimp. It was pretty good! Shrimp was well-seasoned. A bit salty, but when eaten with the bed of greens, it was balanced out. The cilantro dressing was a little flat - I think it could have used some citrus to brighten it up. I couldn't even taste the cilantro in there really. But everything else was great! The peanuts were a good addition - nice crunch to the salad. We had to split the bill, and I made them aware of it before we ordered, so that was smooth. All in all, not bad! This place always seems to have quite a few people eating.

Taco salad add chicken - so good

The outdoor patio is a great choice for a spring dining experience and the service was great. However, the food could be better.

Cheapish eats, chip and salsa bar, quick and fresh eats. There is both indoor seatingand outdoor seating and located on the cutest street. The fish and shrimp tacos were great and filling, topped with so much crunch cabbage, hiding the protein, but it was there. The flautas were delicious and the steak tacos had juicy bites of steak. The guac was weak (not an order but what came with flautas). More of thick avocado salsa. Props to the great beer options - with some local varieties from Davis. I loved the quesabirria taco, which came with consommé and my Aggie taco was ok. The Aggie had so much cabbage my friend asked me if there was any fish inside. I assured her there was but it did take me about 4 bites before I found my way to it. Otherwise, everything was tasty! The blue corn tortilla on the Aggie taco was a nice touch since it's one of UC Davis' school colors. The service was great; everyone was friendly and I liked that they cleared away our empty plates often. I also love that they have a complimentary chips and salsa bar. This place is obviously popular- the turnover time was fast and still more people were coming through the door when we left. Thanks and I'm looking forward to returning for brunch!

This building in Davis sits on a corner and is hot pink, so you can't miss it. They have outdoor, covered seating that was very enjoyable with today's great weather. My favorite thing about lunch today (5/7/26) was the service. The food was good, but the service was excellent. Upon arrival, my first time here I peered into the interior of the restaurant to see if my relative had arrived. I was immediately greeted by a very nice young man behind the counter. I exited the building and sat down at one of their exterior tables so my cousin could easily spot me, and the same very nice young man came out and brought me a menu to review while I was waiting for my cousin to arrive. Once she arrived, we went inside and ordered our meals, and returned to their outside seating. They have an open chips and salsa bar which was great as we waited for our meals. A short while later, another nice young man (with braids) came out to clear the table and offer drink refills. They were both very kind, accommodating and engaging. It's very nice to have great customer service from these gentlemen. We had a lovely lunch, and I would return.

But don't let that stop you. The food is excellent and it's worth taking the time to figure out your order. A few dishes I'd point you toward: the Fajita plate, the Al Pastor plate, and the Quesabirria Tacos are all worth ordering. On my first visit I had what I believe is called the Milpas Salad which was great, but I don't see it on the menu anymore. Great chips and salsa bar too. Great outdoor seating for nice days, and dog-friendly. Already my go-to for Mexican food in town. Love all the artwork on the walls too.
