My family and I checked out Doubleup Quesabirrias during their grand opening today! My daughter goes to school with the owner's son and we wanted to drive out to Woodland to support their restaurant! The interior was a nice size with plenty of seating and they also had a large shaded patio area with a DJ playing for their grand opening! My daughter and I shared the Birria Ramen and my husband ordered a Doubleup Quesabirria. We loved both items! The Birria was tender and flavorful and the Quesabirria was massive and packed with cheese! Their Agua Frescas were great too - we ordered the Strawberry Lemonade and even bought one for the drive home. The owner Francisco even let us try the Cucumber Pineapple flavor which was my favorite! They also offer shrimp platters, Menudo, Pozole, Tortas, Molcajete - you name it - plus breakfast items! Overall, we loved our meal - we left satisfied and very full! I wish them success and hope to be back soon! Check them out!

Caldo de res with home made tortillas (ToGo) we loved it!

Ordered the caldo de res - so delicious! Came with home- made tortillas. We made a little quesadilla at home to go with the soup and it paired very well, my daughter doesn't like zucchini but she loved it in the soup. We tried the cucumber pineapple drink (I forgot what it was called) also delicious. Restaurant was very clean and welcoming. Service was great. Highly recommend!

We tried Double Up Quesabirrias in Woodland, and everything was really good. The portions were huge, the food came out fresh, and there was definitely no shortage of flavor. I had the street tacos, but apparently I was too busy eating them to remember to take a picture, which probably tells you everything you need to know. The papas potato tacos were amazing. They were loaded with shredded cabbage, tomatoes, avocado, sour cream, salsa, grilled chiles, and plenty of cheese. The quesabirrias were crispy, cheesy, and came with a rich dipping broth. Great food, friendly service, and fair prices for the amount of food you get. We will definitely be back.

Francisco's recommendation & true to his description, it's indeed a magical dish filled with delicious, varying flavors with every bite!

Best authentic food with the friendliest and most wonderful service. If I lived here, I would be coming in weekly! Thank you for the amazing meal and experience!

I was recommended Doubleup, and very happy to tried them in an effort to find some authentic Mexican food for lunch. I noted they had Mole and Pozole on the menu, always a good sign that they are putting in the hard work to make the more complex dishes. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the flavor of everything I tried, from the roasted tomatillo salsa, spicy red salsa and not greasy chips to my cucumber and pina' drink! The street tacos meat was the standout ingredient and smoked and rubbed chicken and high quality flank steak with a smoke ring showing, was fantastic! The meat to include Al Pastor, was all tender, juicy, and very flavorful with that wonderful smoked taste! Francisco takes pride in his smoking and we discussed his patient and passionate methods, which the results are so very worth it! The inside searing is nice and spacious, everything was new and clean and the outdoors looked good as well. The service was prompt, professional, experienced and friendly! I plan to try to taste the rest of the menu! While only 3 months new they are a 10! The price was reasonable and the serving sizes ample! Loved it!

First time here and I ordered to go. My co-worker ordered the Double Quesabirria and I got the Torta with Carnitas. The place was clean and they had a nice outdoor area to eat on nice days. My torta was ok. I did like that it was lightly toasted and the avocado was fresh, but the carnitas ok not wow! My co-worker's order didn't come with the Birria dipping sauce and I didn't think I had to make sure to ask for it, so that was disappointing. I also got a hand full of tortilla chips with my torta, literally a handful, see picture. Maybe if I ate there I would have received more. The salsa was good though, not too spicy. Last thing, the menu someone posted had slightly different prices than what I was charged. 10.99 for the Quesabirria, 11.99 for the torta. What I was actually charged was 11.49 & 12.49. I would have thought that since they recently opened that the menu someone posted was accurate which was another disappointment. But I will have to try it again to give them another chance. Overall my experience was a 3 out of 5 to be completely honest.

Enchiladas michoacanas, chicken and carne asada tacos, complimentary chips & salsa. All the salsas were delicious

Love this new restaurant in Woodland! I ordered enchiladas michoacanas and my husband got beef and chicken tacos. Everything was delicious. We were greeted as we came in. They made us feel welcomed. We met the cook, Mary, and her son. They were super friendly. We even got a couple of quesabirrias on the house. Will definitely go back! Can't wait to try the other items on their menu.

The pickled cabbage was the perfect side to accompany the papusa. Complimentary beans and chips are provided. There are grilled jalapeños and a few different salsas available. I also ordered an Auga Fresca which was very refreshing and sweet. Service was good as the workers were helpful and friendly. There is very limited indoor seating. Now, the pupusas. I've been eating pupusas for 60 years now, and La Chicana's pupusas don't disappoint. They are larger than what you would find in most places in El Salvador (home of the pupusas) and the ingredients they use at La Chicana are also well-selected. It is true that they are getting pricier, but so are many things, thanks to you know who. Gracias La Chicana for satisfying many of my Salvador cravings!

While in Woodland and leaving Mojos Lounge we noticed Doggeros across the street…read more Intrigued we looked at the menu. It had burgers and dogs and more. We ordered the Sonora Dog ( I think that's what it was called) which is a bacon wrapped dog and it had grilled onions and avocado sauce. Nicely done! They have a large covered seating area ( dog friendly ). Prices are reasonable for nowadays! I liked the Mexican fusion on all their dishes! Very creative! No seating inside. Good quick take out place! Good experience ( hot dog was to go..girlfriend bought it).

I asked for "lots of extra ketchup" after ordering a clásica burger with no mayo (comes with…read morewell-seasoned fries), a Diet Coke, and leaving a 20% tip up front, without knowing what to expect. I literally spend 4 digits on burgers every year, always ask for "lots of extra ketchup", and am never shorted, until today. The burger meat tasted below average and frozen. My family has been in the cattle ranching business since 1976, about 20 minutes from woodland. My siblings and I are third generation owners. Every time I asked the guy for more ketchup, he gave me two additional tiny packets, and I finally stopped asking bc he looked annoyed after I only had about 50% of my preferred amount of ketchup for a large burger and tons of thick fries. Moreover, they didn't even walk the order to me and ***gave me a bunch of sauce I didn't want or ask for*** WTF. Ordered the clásica burger with no mayo and they decided to drench it in guacamole which is not on the ingredients on the menu and I didn't want it. I didn't ask for a remake bc the guy had already dismissed my ketchup request. I ran out of Diet Coke (full to the top with ice) and didn't want to ask for more bc I didn't want to deal with the guy again. I spent a minute trying to wipe off the sloppy guac spread and I'm eating a very large salty meal while thirsty because I ran out of fountain Diet Coke halfway through and didn't want to talk to the guy again, to ask him for more. At any other burger place (and I'm literally a yelp elite member), they either 1) give plenty of ketchup the first time I ask, 2) they ask "is that enough ketchup?", or they 3) provide self service ketchup. Any of these options are perfectly acceptable. Virtually all restaurants do this because they understand that obsession over customer service optimizes for customer lifetime value, creates happy customers, and only costs them 12 cents. They've perhaps lost hundreds of future dollars from me because I spend an enormous amount eating out and am literally working one block away. I don't know if he owns it or just works there. This was on 7/26 at ~4PM. He would not be f****** bothered. I tipped him 20% too, up front, showing him that I expected at least reasonable service. And remember, they don't even walk the order to you. You walk up to the kitchen and order. You find your own seat, clean up after yourself, and place the tray in a designated area after you're done. I'm okay with all that, but not for a 20% up front tip with rude service. Won't be coming back even though it's profoundly convenient bc it's near a bunch of fantastic businesses I regularly frequent and enjoy. I hated my experience here. Could've had a great customer. Again, I work a block away. The fries were good though, for frozen fries. Well seasoned.
