I was dying for fried chicken and decided to stop by for a bite. The interior is a bit empty in both decor and attendees - I was one of four people in the restaurant, including two workers. It looks like they may have one of the cash registers shut down, requiring you to order via kiosk. After waiting my turn to order, I got the Monday night special 85 cent boneless wings, with 5 in the lemon pepper flavor and 5 in teriyaki. I also got a small fountain drink. I sat down at one of the empty tables and waited for my food. Despite how few other people there were, my food took a little longer than expected to come out. When it did, I was disappointed to see that I had only been given 4 wings in the lemon pepper flavor instead of 5. It wasn't a big enough deal to me to bring up to the staff, though, as all things considered it didn't affect my night too much. The lemon pepper wings were fantastic. They weren't overly salty or greasy, which I liked, and had a strong flavor that went well with my side of ranch. However, the teriyaki wings had a strange texture on the inside that made me wonder if they were fully cooked. The meat tasted a little gummy and I didn't end up finishing them all. I wasn't sure if that was just the texture of the wings, though, as I had only ever tried the dry rub flavors before. I would come back for the weeknight specials, but would beware of the wet flavors. read more

Staff were friendly. First time at this location. Ordered 30 wings a family combo came with fries & veggie sticks. The seasoned fries are good. Love their siracha wings. All their dry ribs are good too. We did get one wing that was super tiny size of kids pinky. But Overall I would come back here. read more

I don't usually give 1 star reviews, but I had the worst experience today, first of all I ordered a water with my meal and the the guy taking my order says" that will be $2 for a water cup" I was appalled. I'm not paying $2 for a water cup. He proceeds to tell me, if you want water you have to bring your own! Lmao! then we got our food and my wings were cold along with the fries, he brought them back to the table supposedly fresh but you could totally tell they were re fried! Never again, will I spend my money for that experience. read more

Great experience ordering online this month - and it was ready when they said it would be. No line so easy to get in and get out. Huge menu - we aren't big wing people so really took a stab at what to get - got the Cali rub, lemon pepper and buffalo. Everything was tasty! Fries were like curly fries. I went back again this week for a second time and got the mango habanero, Cali and Louisiana rub. Again, not one bad flavor! All good. I doordashed the food so ambiance will not be taken into consideration for this review. The driver recieved my order in what I would consider a good amount of time. As for the food, I got the 10 wing combo with 5 pieces having dragon sauce, the other 5 having stampede sauce, and seasoned fries with lemonade. The fries were tasty and well seasoned! The wings were delicious! The dragon one was sadly not spicy (I was hoping it would be spicy), but that didn't make it any less delicious! The sauce was sweet, flavorful, and nutty and even have chives on top of it which gave it an extra depth of flavor. The stampede buffalo sauce was AMAZING! It defintely had a little kick to it (I would say about as much as eating hot cheetos) and paired with the tanginess of and richness of the sauce made it my personal favorite! The lemonade was delicous, refreshing, and defintely played a part in curbing the spice of the stampede sauce wings. As for the wings themselves, they were REALLY crispy which I loved, with the chicken inside being juicy! I highly recommend this place, and hope to come back to try their fire wings! read more

Been coming to Fire Wings, Davis for abt a year now and it absolutely lives up to the hype! If you're looking for serious flavor and perfectly crispy skin, this is the spot. I love the dragon and cali rub--both were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The wings are a great size, not those tiny, dried-out wings you get elsewhere. The fries were a great bonus and hit with the ranch, and the staff was super friendly. It's a total gem for a solid meal. Definitely going to be my new go-to spot for wings and the owner is always leveling this place up read more

We use to love going here but as you see. The boneless wings are now frozen style nuggets reheated. Use to be real chicken before. Place needs to go back what it made them popular. I don't mind paying a few dollars more to get real boneless chicken wings with that thai sauce. read more

I like fire wings better than wing stop. I've been here before and have been curious about the garlic noodles and saigon street wings. Garlic noodles were nice and al dente, giant garlic chunks (which I like), and topped with parmesan. Quite pleasant. Lots of butter, which some other reviews have complained about... But who complains about too much butter? The malaysian curry was a nice dry rub and the wings were done well. The saigon street wings were good as well. The dragon wings were advertised as one flame spicy, but weren't spicy. The flavor was good though! I really enjoyed all the wings and would recommend this place! Some wings were bigger than others, which is expected as they are coming from real life chickens. read more

Had to get the Louisiana Rub for the game....Go Saints! Surprisingly not busy and our wings came out pretty quick. They take great care in health and safety for to go orders only at this time. You can order online and there's enough space for one customer at a time for pick up. The bone in dry rub of perfect Louisiana spices really tasted great. Didn't even need the dipping sauce it comes with. Loved that it wasn't too salty and not greasy either. Thank you Irene, we loved it! Great service and tasty wings. I'm usually never an American chicken wings/drumstick person (what is the proper term?!), and prefer korean fried chicken instead. However, fire wings is wayyyyy better than other chains, and just thinking about their wings now make me salivate! (Upon thinking more about why this is a 5...they actually have Asian flavored wings lol) Came to this particular location in Davis because I came to visit my brother, and celebrate my birthday in advance. We came here on a Sunday around 5:30 pm, and the dinner rush came right after we finished ordering! We were pretty hungry, so our party of 3 ordered the family size of 4 flavors of wings (40 pieces total), 1 large fries, 1 large side, and some vegetable sticks. We tried: lemon pepper, Thai chili, Saigon street, and Louisiana rub. We ordered garlic noodles as our large side. +1 Thai chili was a little spicy, had a nice kick! Would recommend! +1 Saigon street first flavor in my mouth was fish sauce, lol. Really good, but definitely can't eat too many pieces or else it'll feel heavy. +1 lemon pepper was a good balance, and Louisiana rub is true to its name. Didn't shine, but did not disappoint either. -1 garlic noodles are okay- at least they were not too oily! Parking: plenty! Service: great! I got the 6 bone in with Buffalo and garlic fries. The wings had good flavor and not fatty, although considering the price I wish they had more meat on them. The ranch that comes along with it is phenomenal. The garlic fries were good, very garlicky but a little too greasy for my taste. They were covered in garlic oil. We tried this place because next door our palce to eat "taqueria guadalajara" was closed that day due to some water problem. And we regretted it. We ordered couple of boneless wings combos. Wings were like mini nuggets size. They were cold as well even though we ordered to eat in the restaurant. Fries quantity was very very small. Total combo price is not worth it. Looks like you are paying more for this much food. I am giving 1 star for the Pokemon gym there you can reach from the restaurant. read more

First time here. Came to this location based on Yelp reviews. Wednesday about 3PM. Not busy at all and we were helped by Saddiq Super nice and we asked him what he recommended. He helped us and offered us to try the sauce if we wanted. We really liked that this was offered. We went with a 20 pc meal - Louisiana, lemon pepper and per his suggestion: thai chili More than enough for two people. Able to seat ourselves. Food was hot and delicious. The serving was way more than enough for two people. The serving of veggies was amazing and so fresh. This was a great spot with wonderful service and we would definitely stop in again if in the area again. read more

When I do a review, I compare it to similar places in the same city/town. With that said, I give them a 5. We ordered wings for delivery last Saturday and it arrived pretty quick and therefore the wings were crisp, fresh and hot. Although the wings were a little small, there was an extra wing for a couple of our orders. We had the bone-in buffalo, lemon pepper, Cali rub and parmesan wings. The flavors were good and the sauces complimented them very well. All were tasty and we enjoyed our meal. Recommend this place if you are in search of great wings! read more

I'm obsessed with Firewings! I came here on a weekly basis when I was attending school here. The parking lot is huge so parking is never a problem. It's in a plaza with a grocery store and other restaurants. Their flavors come in 3 different categories: Classic, Dry Rub, and Fusion. I think their dry rubs are my favorite but all their flavors are pretty great. They have flavors that are super unique and that you can't really find anywhere else. My favorite flavors are the Jamaican Jerk, Malaysian Curry, Saigon Street, and Thai Chili. Also, always remmeber to get a serving of fries with your meal! Their seasoned fries are so delicious! I always get it with a side of ranch and I LOVE it. It takes around 10 minutes to get your order after ordering but that's pretty standard. Their food is always fresh, warm, and crispy. You really can't go wrong with going here. Highly highly recommend! read more

It's clean and well-lit inside, and I even got a tour of the kitchen/storage which is well-organized and I saw that everything is made from scratch. I had the xiaolongbao, $9 for 8 pcs which is easily the best price in Davis. There's a good amount of meat inside and the meat is really soft. The chili oil was also great imo, not overpowering like other places and perfectly spicy. Unc Wei has made xiaolongbao for 20 years and is looking for feedback as he wants to make sure the filling suits local tastes. Highly recommend and will be coming back often!

Majority of the tables were booths that would fit 4-6, but if you're there for ayce, I wouldn't suggest more than 4 at each booth since the grills are small. The service team was friendly, but I think they're still working on the most efficient system. The ayce menu had a limited selection (in comparison to other kbbqs) for $32, but there were some highlights that my group enjoyed- salt and pepper wings, scallop and vermicelli, garlic noodles, sesame balls, and cheese corn. The meats were okay, but nothing to write home about. The bulgogi sauces were lighter, so that was nice, but I thought the marinade was off. I requested for the salt and sesame oil sauce, but that didn't taste right either. I hope they consider reworking the sauces and marinades because it would truly enhance the food.

The brisket, galbi, and pork belly were just okay. They have multiple different sauce options, be sure to ask to help flavor your meats. Service was doing the best they could considering they just opened recently. I feel like we had to proactively seek their attention at least a dozen times. For $32 this is a very good value, so I recommend trying it out if you feel like pigging out!

We decided to order the BBQ pork buns because it's always a go to for us, and we figured we'd peruse the menu while we were enjoying the buns. The buns arrived at the table, and they were immediately visibly noticeably different, but it wasn't until we tried them that we noticed that there's also a huge taste differential. There was very little filling compared to what we're used to. It was mostly bun, more than anything else. When the buns were placed on the table, there was no contact with us/the table to find out how we we're doing, about the food, etc. Very much felt like a churn and burn moment. Based on the lack of Customer Service, and poor food quality, we opted to not waste any more time or money, and we would find another place to dine at. Thankfully, we are closer to the Roseville location and will still continue to enjoy the food there. We definitely will not be back to this location

I like that you pick a style which includes a set of toppings, instead of selecting the toppings individually. I bet that saves a lot of time. We both got the Delilah's Style which has seaweed salad, cucumbers, surimi crab, wonton chips, edamame, mangoes, massago, furikake and unagi sauce. If you like it spicy, I would get the Tropical Style with spicy mayo. Ahi and Salmon were fresh with mild (but tasty) seasoning that's not too much that you can still taste the fish. I absolutely love the wonton chips. This is not the typical wonton chips. Incredibly crunchy and thicker pieces. The toppings are vibrant, fresh and delicious! The portions are generous. I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Next time I go back I want to try the sushi wrap and musubis. This is a hidden gem in Davis.

May get, again, next time. We usually prefer the blacker Korean style sauce, but this was pretty good, too. 4. Beef roll: think thinly sliced beef with fresh veggies rolled up in an onion pancake. We both got the Pho Hanoi (#14, comes with wok fried ribeye and garlic) with the fresh noodles upgrade which was a $1.50 surcharge but so worth it. Came out to about $44 total. The broth was good, didnt taste diluted, and different than the pork broths I've been used to from other pho restaurants. The meat was fully cooked, flavorful, and both of ours had a decent amount of meat. The fresh noodles were great and light, it didnt feel like I was forcing myself to eat noodles I didnt like. Standard garnishes (jalapeños, limes, sprouts) though they start you off with a small amount of make sure to ask for more if you run low. They also have pickled white onions as a garnish!!!! SO GOOD!! As you can see from the pic, I finished mine which is rare for me. I usually leave a lot of broth or a lot of noodles left over, not this time! Note, this place only serves pho as entrees so plan accordingly if anyone in your group is expecting banh mis or doesn't want something hot, soupy, and delicious. Their phos are beef broth based. It's nice that they I've got self serve hot tea and cold tea in addition to ice water. The restaurant is neat and taken care of. I've never had issues with tables being sticky like some other pho restaurants.
