Since, I live in Los Angeles, it's best to leave it to the locals who know the good spots. I let her do the ordering, since I am not too picky and wiling to try new things. We ordered her favorite Davis Classic pizza (Pepperoni, Sausage, Olives, Mushrooms, Red Onion), Ranch Garden salad with Pesto dressing (Greens, Red Onion, Mozzarella, Bacon, Croutons) and Man Cave Chicken Wings (BBQ and Dry Rub flavors). My family and I came here to try this place for the first time and the service was... interesting. Our first impression of the restaurant was that it was a nicely decorated college bar and restaurant. There a small arcade section in the back of the restaurant, The restrooms were clean. We ordered an XL half All-Meat, half Club pizza, a large cinnabread, and fountain drinks. The pizza was really good! They put pizza sauce in the crust which was a tasty surprise. The cinnabread was delicious and not too sweet. Now the service was pretty disappointing. As we were enjoying our food, the restaurant became noticeable more busy. A waitress came up and asked us if we were planning on leaving within the next hour because there was a reservation coming in. My parents were completely shocked that they would even come up to ask us. It came off as really rude and as if they were trying to get us to leave. I was absolutely starving, so I stopped by Woodstock. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful--I was checked on multiple times, and the level of attentiveness was spot on without being overbearing. Stopped in on a Monday evening for a quick bite. The line for pizza by the slice was out the door. On Mondays they have a special if you buy a large pizza you get a free large cheese pizza. We took the latter to go and dug in to the "causeway" at the bar. Pizza was good, medium crust and lots of toppings. As a vegan gf person I always have to get my own pie, and then have tons of leftovers. Went here on a rec from a friend and it was so worth it. Definitely sign up for their rewards, we easily racked up $100 with our group and got a reward which we promptly used to order more as more people arrived. Loved that they have outdoor seating. I found the service system to be fine and it was not too long a wait even on a game day weekend. Random note - again as a gf person I only drink wine or spirits, and they just serve wine by the half bottle but it was really reasonable ($14). You don't really need to know more about their awesome "normal" pizza since there are so many positive raves about it but I was just happy to have a fillling vegan meal and food for the weekends to bring back to my hotel! read more

The family and I were wanting some late night pizza (which we often do) and I remember wanting to try this place out after passing by it by mistake one night while hanging out in the area. This place has an open layout with a good mix of booths and table seating, they also have a nice bar and upstairs seating. Near the back of the bar area there's a clear view of the kitchen if you're interested in the magic of pizza making. While waiting for your order or if you're feeling a little competitive after some pizza and or drinks they have a small arcade area with games and pinball machines. The evening we went there was a mixed crowd of folks including families, college kids and older couples. The pizza came out hot and was delicious! We ordered their all meat pizza, a cheese pizza and a dessert pizza. We probably ate more than we needed to in one sitting but it was that good! Their pizza is just not for me. I've tried it a few times hoping it got better but each time I've been disappointed. Very nice people and good college town vibes. But the crust takes up about 50% of the pizza. Not only that but it's just folded over dough, so half your pizza isn't covered in any sauce or cheese. The dough is fluffy so I can even eat the crust here; At most places, I throw it away. I also love that they offer dessert pizza because I am a savory AND sweet kind of person. The dessert pizza is just as good as the traditional pizza and I highly recommend giving it a try! It can get very loud with the music and tv and people talking and staff is nice but they get busy as well so sometimes things slip by. Last time I was there for example, almost all of the sodas in the fountain were out of syrup and I was getting seltzer water no matter what I pressed. We were heading home from Sacramento/ Roseville area in a late weekend night and looking somewhere to grab a bite to eat o a sit down setting. They had a self serve soda fountain with cane sugar options and non sweet iced teas. Food came out in 15-20 mins and it was pretty Good. Pizza wasn't too thick and wings were Wood fired, not fried chicken wings. Lots of options for pizza and drinks and definitely will stop by again if we're in the area again. What was best about the place other than the food, was the accessibility and easy to finding a booth and self service aspect. Having the convenience having to go boxes and pizza condiments like Peppers and Parmesan cheese on hand and easy to access without bothering a team member. Great food great service! The menu is a little overwhelming for a first timer but I appreciate all the options. You order at the counter, receive your number and can sit at any table inside or outside and your order will come to you. I did have to ask the server about my bar drink, but it came shortly afterwards. Staff was super friendly. We were constantly checked on. Food was amazing. Probably one of the best pizzas I have had. Great place for a late night bite and drinks! I came here to meet up with my brother who lives in the area. This seemed like the only place that looked good online and was also recommended by my brother. They have a good happy hour with pitchers starting at $9.99. Their margaritas also come in pint-sized glasses (though not on happy hour). We ordered their Kickin' Carnitas pizza which was delicious. My husband really liked their crust, but it wasn't a fave for me. The two cons were that the floor was dirty and that they seemed to forget about my margarita. Even though the weather accounted for the messy floor, they should periodically clean it. As for forgetting my drinks, my brother said it was commonplace to ask for it at the bar even though they give you a number placard to deliver it. read more
